Legend is right. Inspiring is another word I do not use lightly.......Nothing changes, Mr Ashton (Sir) doing his best. Thanks for sharing, being an asset and not being a quitter, cause there's nothing worse than quitters. I'd love to see some videos of what you have learned with regard to bike building for your new skill set. Any one of us may have had the opportunity to experience a rough outcome to any cycling adventure and many of us have. It's clearly not defining you as a person other than the face fuzz in your selfies M.A. Freaky is an F word. Defining has its limitations. Clearly there are many people here on your side so don't be defined, cause you had us at the mention of cycling and party!
I don't know how science will grow in the next years, but i really hope you'll manage to ride/walk again some day. Amongst all the other people with similar stories. Stay positive, Sir!

Holy smokes, I had no idea Martyn was that insanely talented on so many types of bikes. I feel so completely inferior on my little cross country trails.

I've been a fan of Martyn for 20 plus years and I've been out of riding a few years since getting hit by two cars and having kids. Ive been crying through these videos but what an inspiration he is! Martyn has inspired me to get back into riding. He will drive technology on these bikes rapidly too which will benefit people all over the planet. What a guy!

I first saw the Inspired Bicycles Danny Macaskill video in 2009. Cycling around Edinburgh to the Band of Horses sound track, The Funeral. I was blown away. Then someone told me there's a bloke doing the same on a racer!? I was double blown away. Bike party is incredible. I was sad on hearing about the accident, but watching you on GMBN is a real treat. It can't be stated enough what an inspiration you are. Keep the videos coming please.

10 amazing moments. Some of them seem utterly impossible. But the most heroic moment isn't here. That was hearing the MRI machine banging around & deciding what trick to do next on Bike Party 2. I felt something like that in the moments before my operation in 2016.
Keep going Martyn; you are an inspiration to all of us.

You continue to be a great inspiration to so many. My freakish moment was riding down Thunder at Oak Mountain State Park and went over a small jump, I went down but couldn't unclip. I heard lots of snack, crackle pop. I laid in the trail, by myself for 5-7 mind before I moved. Thankfully nothing was broken. F

What a great guy, incredibly inspiring, it is such a shame you are paralised from the waist down, but you are still amazing and the best person in the world!
had a decent crash this year riding the devon dirt, I managed all the off road bits just fine but on the road my front wheel slipped on some stones and I binned it over the bars, lucky for me my camelback protected my back, ive got two lovely scars on my calf where my DMR pedals sliced me open down to the meaty stuff, a trip to A&E later with 13 stitches it was all good! thanks for sharing with us Martyn your a bloody legend and from my own home town too!
