My main concern is recording loud vocals. I can DI guitars, but to do a good vocal performance, sometimes you gotta shout. Ain't exactly neighbour friendly.

Too true. I’m spoiled by the shed: it’s relatively shout-safe. But when I didn’t have it, I used to record loud vocals in my car 😂

@JordanSeal I did this same thing. Get a good dry recording as well. Only problem is I can't take the tape machine in there, so had to use a laptop, but trying to sync digital recording to a tape track is damn near impossible.

@@TomBaitsonI hear that, and I've never even tried to sync the two. I did it when I was using the little battery-powered DP-006 for everything... which made the car recording very easy.
