Biggest takeaway for me (aside from what I already know) is that you don’t have to be afraid of love not working out because hard times come and go and doors open and doors close. Everyone learns about love at their own rate I guess

      This is the God's word,
Deuteronomy 5: 12-15: "Observe the sabbath day, to keep it holy, as Jehovah thy God commanded thee. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work; but the seventh day is a sabbath unto Jehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy man-servant and thy maid-servant may rest as well as thou. And thou shalt remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah thy God brought thee out thence by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm: therefore Jehovah thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day." (ASV)
You ain't just doing something. You're following the God's commandment.
Genesis 2: 1-3: "And the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it; because that in it he rested from all his work which God had created and made." (ASV)
The rest is blessed by the God.
The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why deception and violence are everywhere. This is the reason why liers and murderers feel good while righteous persons are persecuted. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy.
This is the reason why the whole world is Sodom.
That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our loved ones again! :-)

I agree with this. I became a widow when I was 62 and decided to move back to Australia to be with my granddaughter and daughter. I was grieving but caring for my 3 year old granddaughter gave me a purpose in life and I felt freedom to live my life as I wished. In 2012 I met a man online, and we have been partners in life and love since. We dont live together but spend several days per week together. We have a loving and supportive relationships. Today we sat in the park, enjoying the sunshine and the trees around us, there was even a new Gymea flowering which we’ll watch its’ progress over the year. I think that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important, keep moving and eat well. I still cook and exercise 3 x times weekly at the gym . wth kettlebells. AT 82 I feel contented with my life - as the motto goes: “Have someone to love, someone who loves you, something to do every day or be responsible for and take care of yourself.”. Greetings from Australia

I have a question that I've been wondering for years. In these past 6 years without your husband, do you feel as if you have more time though your day to work on thing for you? Do it feel the same as when women get divorced? Although I know it's different because he didn't hurt you or leave you intentionally. But the time spent being a wife I heard is not the same when you're single. In your situation it's different of course but do you feel more alive and free??? Thank you in advance if you can answer my question. I really appreciate it.

A wonderful lady, Dr Gladys. My husband divorced me after 30 years of marriage. I can relate. I found renewed meaningful work and it is still carrying me through. Very satisfying especially in retirement. What retirement!
Dr Gladys does not talk about her faith. If she were a Christian, she would. That is a concern. Where will she spend eternity? With God or without God. We are eternal beings. Without God is called hell. With God, she needs an entrance ticket. His name is Jesus. No one is perfect. We all sinned. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins. Is there any other religious leader that did that? Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by him. A quote from the Bible. I will pray for Dr Gladys.

Interesting perspective. After seventy plus years and having lost two wives to disease, I consistently ask myself why, of all people, am i still here? What Gladys said to me is "I am not thinking about my life correctly."
As a septuagenarian I can continue on without fear, or blame, revel in the shared memories of my life and of those who I shared the experience, and as Gladys advises spread that light we find on our individual paths.
I was especially moved by the challenges she meet by being unafraid. World War Two she said had considerable bad news for everyone. She learned she was not alone and was able to deal with the fear in that knowledge. We are all afraid at certain points in time. Gladys's fear of hunger resonated with me the most. If you are hungry, though no fault of your own, you just keep looking for the "light." That may sound a bit non-specific, but I understood what she was trying to say. We are not hungry alone. We learn to share and make the best of our common experience.
There were other nuggets of advice I took from Gladys's perspective, so I saved a copy of this video to reference from time to time.
I am not confident my life would last anywhere near one hundred years and that is not my goal. All I ask is to depart this world with the peace of mind that my life was worth the journey and somewhere, I was able benefit my fellow travelers with what I had learned.

I think I really needed to hear that, and remember life is not a downhill slope forever, but it is made of ups and downs, stops and gos.

If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life

I will always always prefer to be single than to be with someone who makes my life hell. I’ve been single for over a year after five year relationship that was abusive. I can tell you I’m not rushing to go back into anything. You never know who you are really even after years. People will switch up on you, especially in modern era.

Dr. Gladys McGarey recently authored a book, "The Well-Lived Life." It's a very inspirational look at her life as a young woman in medical school and coming of age in a world that did not embrace female physicians. She details juggling her medical career as she gave birth to and raised six children along with her husband, while delivering hundreds (maybe thousands) of babies in her own medical practice. My big takeaway from her is to live with love in the light that brings reason and direction to my life.

A very fascinating video, this brings back painful memories which i have been enduring. My relationship of 6 years ended 3 months ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life , but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t , I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her .

Parting ways with someone you deeply cherish is an agonizing experience. I understand firsthand, having encountered a parallel situation at the end of my 7 year relationship. Driven by an unyielding determination, I explored every avenue to salvage our bond. Seeking guidance from a spiritual counselor proved pivotal, as their intervention played a crucial role in rekindling our love.

I'm sorry for your loss. The fact that you grieve for someone shows that you know how to love. I don't know that if she and you will return to the same relationship you had had. Sometimes people grow apart, things happen, circumstances beyond your control. But you will love again, and this person will see how wonderful you are. Continue to work on being a strong, wonderful man, find curiosity in the little things and someone will also be curious and share that with you and a relationship will grow.

She is an amazing woman, I am 51 today I was married to who I thought was my soul mate and we we have two kids and I believe we were happy we talk every day because he travels, then after 12 years of married he call me out of the blue he want a divorce. I was shattered for trying to build a house and growing two kids. It took me years to get pass it I was in the dark yet I knew there was a light. This lady inspired me because I have the same spirit that she does once you see the sun up rise with the sun keep on going because that is your light. I do love your spirit God bless you and may you enjoy your days that God bless you to live.
