NFL on FOX is a great theme. But it's diluted because FOX uses it in other sports as well. Most themes belong to a single sport that you can identify immediately, like the NBA on NBC... classic.
Whenever I hear the NFL on FOX theme play then watching my Buccaneers jog out just gives me the best vibes ever. With my mom and dad sitting on the couch with snacks on the table and some drinks and get to watch football all day. But ever since I went to college I can't do that anymore and I miss it so much :(
Number 1 needs to be a song that gets me hyped for whatever I’m about to watch. Nothing gives me that feeling like CBS College Basketball. Every time I listen to it it gets me hyped and excited. That is the number 1 theme on this list
Good list. I would have ranked # 15,16,17 higher. But it is your objective opinion. My favorite is a toss up between number 5 & 1. Since FOX got lazy and used your number 1for multiple sports; the edge goes to number 5. NBA on NBC.
#10 (NCAA Football on CBS) was introduced as the theme for Super Bowl XXI (Giants/Broncos). Probably still brings a smile to Phil SImms - he was the MVP of that Super Bowl (also the first to say '"I'm going to Disneyland!:")
Great list. The CBS college basketball, Fox MLB, and Fox NHL are particularly nostalgic. They bring back memories of watching Tigers, Red Wings, and Spartan hoops games with my dad.

I truly wish, however, that Fox would bring back the original MLB on Fox theme song (the one they used from 1996 to about 2009). That song also rocks. Also, I would rank the NBA on NBC theme song higher. It brings back warm memories of when I was a kid watching Michael Jordan play hoops.
While not nationally broadcast, the end theme on Home Team Sports for Washington Capitals, Balimore Orioles, and Washington Bullets was hard to beat in the 90's.

It's pretty much been the same forever. I remember it back during the 1960 summer Olympics from Rome, and I think ABC did that one.
