Those Turbines feel way older than 20 year's. Once I had a "deckel" Milling machine from 1952... it feels and smells similar 😄

Yes they look older but must be very reliable. Very clean looking . Can't see the yaw deck .hopefully no oil or grease 😁

Is that radaitor in the back used for cooling oil / cooling fluid from the generator or gearbox?

This particular heat exchanger (water-Air) is used only for the Generator. Newer Turbines with much more power do have single or combined cooling circles for Gearbox (oil-Water and then Water -Air), Converter and Transformer as well.

@@saasch_baasch Do you still find small oil-air heat exchangers inside the nacelle (that rarely turn on in high temps around 80C) like in a Vestas V27?

@@eventhorizon7374 they are very rare and as far as I know only on very old ones. I guess the Problem is the mess when you have a leakage und the lower heat exchanging / storage ability of Oil.

They last long enough you dont have to change

If there is no violent event like a heavy lightning strike or mishaps in the manufacturing process, then they last a lifetime.
