@ sure. One game is just that. If BSUs secondary can play line they did against UNLV they have a good chance of winning, assuming Jeanty has an above average game.
I think they have a better chance if he has 30+ carries, shortens the game, controls the clock. BSU is man for man, out manned. If they run him 35 times, that means they are in the game and killing a lot of snaps for PSU.
Boise’s defense won’t be able to keep the game close. If the game’s close and points are at a premium then you can run it 30+ times, but if you’re quickly down 21-7 in the 3rd quarter then you have to make some tough decisions.
@@kylebernadyn2465 Agreed, I was trying to say that in a roundabout way. @@KentrellGualden-p9e Yeah and he got 100 yards (over the line of scrimmage), and he killed 25 minutes of clock, keeping the game close. Running the ball isn't about getting 10 yards per carry, which is impossible when a Mountain West plays elite Big 10/SEC team. However, throwing three picks can enable a DII team to beat a DI team. The only way BSU wins this game is to shorten it, not throw the ball away, hope to have the ball late and be within one score.

A few things. Boise currently has the longest string of winning seasons in the FBS at 27. Against teams remaining in the playoffs Boise State is 2 games over .500 all time. In Boise’s first Fiesta Bowl Oklahoma should have been in the National Championship Game instead of Florida. Oklahoma was the victim of the worst call in college football that year in a road game against Oregon. They recovered an on side kick effectively ending the game. The recovering player left the field of play with the ball. Somehow the referees justified giving Oregon who never touched the ball the recovery . Otherwise Oklahoma goes to the title game instead of Florida who won the Championship. Boise was the only undefeated team that season. This is the first and likely only time Boise will have the opportunity to win a National Championship without money and politics making it completely impossible. They have one of the two best college running backs in NCAAF history. They have one of the best offensive coordinator’s in football. Boise’s offensive line has been dealing with significant injuries since week three. Two of their starters finally came back for the conference championship. Three weeks of recovery for these players may be significant injuries since week this game. Jeanty himself had a significant arm injury half way through the season. He also had a leg injury against Wyoming. He could be the healthiest he has been since week 1 for this game. After the Heisman insult Jeanty could be playing with a real chip on his shoulder. He has been asking to be placed on the kickoff return team which might be a factor. All that said Penn State looked really good in their last two games against very good opponents. Boise’s defense will need to get at least 3 turnovers for a win.
Boise state almost beat Oregon, BUT, Oregon is a much better team now. Uh, boise state went 12-0 after that. Looks as if they're a little better team now also. 🤔
How many times have we heard people talk like this in the media about Boise State and they have come out and shocked the world. BSU is just one of those teams, they always have a chip on their shoulder. And have made a habit of shocking elite teams. I think Penn State wins, but it is possible they do not cover.
Remember what happened a few years back when Cincy, the first team out of the group of 5, made the playoff. Of course Cincy didn't have Jeanty. But then again, if you remove Jeanty from the picture, what do the Broncs realistically have? They may not exactly be one-dimensional, but they're not much better than average without him.
This is a terrible comp. UC and BSU run completely different play styles. Part of the reason UC got blown out in the CFP is cuz Bama played prevent Defense the whole game and forced UC to run the ball. Boise would love that. UC was a defensive forward team, BSU does not have a great defense.
Boise state is getting hammered by penn state what a joke. Boose neverr should have been invited to this tournament. Andbi dont wanna hear they earned the spot
Singleton and Allen are liable to both go for a buck fitty in this game each. I think Jeanty gets his, he's legit, but I don't see boise stopping PSU's running game or tyler warren in the passing game. At some point the guys on the outside (called receivers Penn State), will get permission to catch the ball and make some plays. It may be this game.
The trends are so irrelevant but it’s hard to skip Boise being undefeated in Fiesta Bowls (I know PSU is as well). Then a B1G team goes down there couple years back and gets into a shootout with TCU who moved up but is arguably the same tier program as Boise. Idk I’m rambling late night, but all football logic points to PSU, all nonsense voodoo logic trends to Boise atleast to cover I feel.
I have a problem with his either or. It's the same for Penn State you either play well and stop the run or Boise will win. You see I can do the same. Seriously. And for the record it's not an upset if Boise wins they're in for a reason. Don't think for a moment that Their RB is pissed for not winning the Haiseman
many teams tried that this season. It just results in two things: a big passing game and huge runs by the end of the game when the defenses were gased.
@thealternativecontrarian9936 Rushing D ranking of every team BSU has faced (in order of schedule) GS: 95th Oregon: 33rd Portland State: 134 (fcs) Wash st: 96 Utah St: 128 Hawaii: 92 Unlv: 22 Sdsu: 122 Nevada: 114 San Jose st: 64 Wyo: 112 Oregon st: 108 Unlv (again): 22 That's an average of 87.8. Outside of two schools they've literally played the bottom of the barrel, the worst of the worst, in rush D. All one has to do is look at the tape and you'll see some of the poorest tackling in any level of football. Jeanty will likely get some runs, but he could also not even crack 100 yards total. He's going to be playing a D that is fast, physical, and built to stop the run.
picking boise state for no rational reason, i just want fun lol. if i had to give a reason, i just think ashton jeanty is that good. but PSU is clearly the better team here.
Can not believe they are compaiiring Ashton jeanty to Barry sanders?😂😂😂 B.sanders didn't play 85% of 4qter football ..and they didn't allow yards from bowl games into record books ..shanking my head
BSU wasting time trying to convince themselves they can win. They saw the tape and know they bout to get that 🥾 🍑real Big Ten style. Getting T shirts printed and all that fake hype. When 👟 hits 🏈 it’s PSU beat down time…. 55-24
I hope Boise State Wins but if they loses by Double Digit that will be the 3rd Team in CFP with Zero Top 25 Wins to get blown out. SMU, Indiana had zero Top 25 Wins. SOS and Quality of Wins have to start carrying more weight.
UNLV is ranked in the top 25, and Boise State beat them twice.... Going into the playoff Penn State and Boise State had the same number of ranked wins and over similarly ranked teams (#20 Illinois vs #23 UNLV).
If there is not a scenario where something doesn't happen, nothing has happened AT ALL. PLEASE NO MORE DOUBLE NEGATIVES guys. Did you graduate writing & speaking like that? It's become a psychosis
All we get out of Pate is: SEC, SEC. In computer technical work we call people like Pate "ID 10 T", when they aren't running on 8 cylinders. Pate, sorry buddy, teams are good or bad, NOT conferences. You sound like a broken record "The SEC is always great." Excuse me, every conference has poor teams and this year is a great example of BAD SEC teams. You cried 'cause you couldn't get 5 SEC teams in the play offs. So then you said the 12-team playoff is bad. I think this year really shows how money influences ESPN, and the two conferences they tout. I pray a Big 10 or Mountain West team takes it all.

If you go to the game, use a cab or Uber. Glendale, Mesa, Scottsdale and all the small departments will scan for rental cars and out of state cars. They will write bogus $300 tickets. Policing for profit.
You sound like you work for uber..... nice try bucko!
@patrickmcisaac3142 Bama Alum. Happened in 2011. 2013 Auburn/FSU. And 2016 Bama/Clemson. SEC demanded no Natty's and there hasn't been since.
Cabs in the greater PHX area are a joke, uber/lyft there and back
@bryanneal939 Maybe stay at a hotel with a shuttle. I won't even come down there to play golf. Vegas and Palm Springs don't have these problems.
@ I been living in the greater phx area almost 17 yrs now
Yep! Easy to pick the favorites.
It sure was
Jentry is good but it absolutely matters about who he played against
Ashton needs to average 5 yards a clip and have 4+ Carrie’s of 20 or more yds for Boise state to not only win but stay in this game. It’s a big ask against Penn State. I’m excited to watch what happens.
Hope all those eggs in one basket work out for ya. We aren't worried. Our local Drive In is airing the game for free. One machine is great at being a machine. Our machine has a heart and it breaks other machines. Go Broncos. You got this.
So they win or they lose. Absolutely groundbreaking analysis? Next stop Vegas man!
PSU is going to put 8 in the box and dare that QB, who should have 50 ints, and it’s getting ugly fast
Lmao 😂
Gee I wonder who this guy will pick.
It was home field advantage in the first round. Second round is rest vs rust
Just ask the Commanders about scoring from the 1 yerd line , its impossible for them to get a td from the 5yd line and in.
How many times have we heard people talk like this in the media about Boise State and they have come out and shocked the world. BSU is just one of those teams, they always have a chip on their shoulder. And have made a habit of shocking elite teams. I think Penn State wins, but it is possible they do not cover.
44-20 AK & Allar open up the passing game for 3tds Kaytron & Nick each get one one the ground & the defense gets a TD
I'm thinking somewhere in the 41-24 range but yeah, definitely going over
Lololol
How do they get the other 2 points? A safety that would be awesome!
@@Reid-q9l
There’s a FG & a missed x point 😆
Also game is on grass which PSU is more familiar with
Remember what happened a few years back when Cincy, the first team out of the group of 5, made the playoff.
I just hope it’s a good game. The first four were a snore in this playoff.
Penn state 35-21 final
Tre Stewart shoutout🗣️🗣️
Cmon man, we won 2 after that as the underdog all 3 times. Be respectful my guy. Not a 3 trick pony for one game
Penn State is 7-0 in the fiesta bowl
Boise State will be 4-0 Penn State 7-1
@@fightforfreedomneversurren8610🙂 8-0 penn state
TBH, if ashton carries 33 for 170 it's a TOP problem. PSU has to win that or it's over
Boise state about to get ran through harder than Lily Phillips
😂
It will go bad for Boise they will shut doun there running back!!!!!
many teams tried that this season. It just results in two things: a big passing game and huge runs by the end of the game when the defenses were gased.
They won't
@thealternativecontrarian9936
Rushing D ranking of every team BSU has faced (in order of schedule)
GS: 95th
Oregon: 33rd
Portland State: 134 (fcs)
Wash st: 96
Utah St: 128
Hawaii: 92
Unlv: 22
Sdsu: 122
Nevada: 114
San Jose st: 64
Wyo: 112
Oregon st: 108
Unlv (again): 22
That's an average of 87.8.
@broadheadthedrunk lololol and when he runs all over Penn State, what then?
@@bigyodathemanhe's not going to. That's the point. He's faced TRASH defenses. Sorry the truth hurts.
Haven’t listened. Know the pick will be Penn state. But go Boise!!!!!!!!!
Let's go !
WE ARE 🏈 Unrivaled 38-13!!!
Just because his head looks like a Penn State helmet he's gotta pick them
Boise underdog in all Fiesta Bowls …..
picking boise state for no rational reason, i just want fun lol. if i had to give a reason, i just think ashton jeanty is that good. but PSU is clearly the better team here.
Can not believe they are compaiiring Ashton jeanty to Barry sanders?😂😂😂 B.sanders didn't play 85% of 4qter football ..and they didn't allow yards from bowl games into record books ..shanking my head
He also didn't play in a sorry conference full of cupcakes.
BSU wasting time trying to convince themselves they can win. They saw the tape and know they bout to get that 🥾 🍑real Big Ten style. Getting T shirts printed and all that fake hype. When 👟 hits 🏈 it’s PSU beat down time…. 55-24
The Penn st line is inflated , it should be 6 pts max.
The experts picked Penn State, so that means Boise wins by 20
Just like SMU did!
@ half the time the experts are right. Now it’s time for the half they are wrong
@@rd24life Experts who are actually experts are right much more than half the time.
@ lol
They better start tackling or all this talk is just that -----talk
Halftime channel changer... Yayyy CFP12!
PSU 42-14
An 8 minute 57 second clip where absolutely nothing was said…
I hope Boise State Wins but if they loses by Double Digit that will be the 3rd Team in CFP with Zero Top 25 Wins to get blown out.
Penn State is 7-0 in the Fiesta
I love the doubt and disrespect, the Blue feeds off of it….
12.5 points is too many.
Why the apathy if Penn State wins 😂 “Whatever happens after that”
he wants to say we can go to the championship but he's holding out because he wants georgia to win it all
Boise!!!!!!!!!!!
Is a "Nittany" lion one that preys on the young males of other animals?
All Boise sacks are blitzing, that only works against bad teams. They are also 127 out of 135 in missed tackles. 44-13 Penn State. PSU is going to hurt this team, bad
😂😂😂😂😂
No no no. App state over Michigan biggest upset ever. In the big house
PSU 7-0 IN THE FIESTA INCLUDING A CHIP
Boise St by 4
It’s pronounced Boy-See.
👍 excellent analysis! Like so many others, picking Penn State to win - everything points to it.
🤔….and yet somehow Boise State still wins this game.
Fiesta Bowl magic BSU. Not this year. Oregon took care of that bugaboo from team when we beat them this year. People must realize BSU dominated Oregon football prior to this year. Or maybe team saved their magic this season 4 this game. I figured it out BS wins big. Lol
Going to be fun seeing Boise win this one.
Boise will cover
