    I have one behind my 65" tv along with other color lightbulbs and it makes my environment so relaxing. I come home on Friday nights to a cold beer, I put some music on youtube, and I feel like I am in a lounge!

      Can you sync it with your tv so it changes colour according to what’s on the tv? Or is that only pc

    like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....

      I was gonna say that too. Velcro a powerstrip under your desk, plug in your stuff and then wrap the cords together using a glueless tape. Do it so the bundle of cords is up under your desk or behind something on your desk. Then you only have one cord going down to the plug.

      i think you can buy bluetooth strips and bulbs which don’t require a bridge but require a phone or tablet with bluetooth

  • @OldMan_PJ
    @OldMan_PJ 7 лет назад +2

    Just bought the Tap switch this week, it is expensive but integrates perfectly with HomeKit and Philips customer support was easy to deal with when one of my bulbs died. My biggest complaint with them would be the Hue app for iOS. The older app, which is still available on the store, has 3 times the functionality of the new app. You can't do basic tasks with the new app like create scenes or adjust brightness of the built-in scenes.

    I was looking for a LED strip recently and naturally the Hue came to mind. But that huge power brick was a no go. I got a USB powered LED strip instead. It's not as nice and no App control but it was not even $20 so it's OK.

    I had it for about a month before the tape on the strip fell off unfortunately. Luckily enough I can just get some better mounting tape for about 15 bucks for 15ft of it so not bad. The strip itself is amazing though!

    This does look very simple to set up, I just really wish that you could measure the places that you need to put the strips and order them by measurement that would be ideal. To be able to put them everywhere I want to in my house and have to cut and waste is just not worth it for me.
