Honda Insight Ground Wires

In this video I replace the ground wires in my Honda Insight to get a better running car and also to fix the issue of flickering lights and the car sometimes not starting due to the bad quick disconnect wiring.

I have an 2003 insight with 241 k miles on it. I'm having an issue with my car IMA light keeps coming on. It happens 5/10 miles driving or so. I just pull over shut the car off and take the ground terminal off for 30 seconds and put it back on. Start it up and the IMA light is gone and the 12 volt starts charging it's the weirdest thing but it works and the car always gets me to point a to b

Have you check the ground wires and you negative terminal?

Sounds like you need to grid charge your battery. A discharge of the battery could help as well (especially if you are already grid charging and thats all you've been doing for battery maintenance). Your IMA light coming on after a few miles indicates your battery is not holding the proper charge any more. The grid charge and battery discharge will help.
