Can't believe neither JP nor Mike have ever seen a rattlesnake. Where my dad lived in Springbrook Township (PA) when I was a kid just getting the mail or cutting the grass in the summer was an adventure. Lost count of how many times I had to go down to his shed (which had a wasp nest somewhere in it) to get the hoe to go lop off another snake's head before getting the mail. One day one almost got into the house even. It was on the hillside right near the front door and came slithering towards it as we were walking in. Plus I remember seeing an absolutely massive rattlesnake along 502 just after Rocky Glen Road the one time when my family was going for a ride out that way. Some workmen were trying to flatten it with the huge tires on a dump truck and it was like the Energizer Bunny (kept going and going and going).
Wow! Thats crazy. Had a buddy who lived on spike Island and we used to play in the creek behind his house and swim at that blackbridge. So glad we never ran into any there! I've only bern luck to meet garter snakes on my adventures I've yet to encounter a copperhead (not looking to lol) . But shocked to have see my 1st rattlesnake. Wow that must have been something else to have them in your backyard 😳
@@OutNaturing The worst experience ever though was when I was swimming in my grandfather's pond down the hill from my dad's house. I was in the water close to the edge just kinda floating there and out of the corner of my eye I see something coming towards me. It was a water snake swimming/slithering across the surface. It slithered/floated past me about six inches in front of my face. Worst part is I made a bubble in the water when it was right in front of me, so it turned towards me for a moment. Scariest moment of my life, though that would be topped by having a brown bear come lumbering up my dad's back yard during our one July 4th party. Guess it was kinda annoyed we were lighting off fireworks. We all ran in the house as quick as we could.
@@OutNaturing During another one of these parties (or was it the same one? lol) my dad and his one buddy decided it would be a great idea to light half sticks with a small blow torch like you use to solder. Unfortunately he lost his grip while on the back swing to throw one and it ended up landing right next to the propane tank he used for his gas stove in the house. I don't think I've moved faster in my life as I ran around the corner of the house fearing an impending explosion. Thankfully the tank was sturdy enough that it didn't even get affected by the half stick going off.
Those are actually great shoes your wearing! Not sure if you were wearing those last time I mentioned the water shoes, but out of everyones, your's look most compfy, and ideal!

Mike, what's going on with your posts being uploaded just after midnight "Down Under"? 🤪
Loved that first fall and you showed how brave you were with your arachniphobia in that first culvert. 🥰
Saw that JP had appropriate footwear for the day out, and you were dressed in fine attire yourself 🤨
Your Rattlesnake encounter was spectacular vision too....thanks for the day out. 😎
In sorry Malj!! I'll have to figure a time that works well with your timezone! I have a habit of putting them out in the morning here!
Omg those spiders were everywhere in that culvert, the whole length was lined with egg sacs and monster spiders! Tried to dress as appropriately as possible lol best I could for the swimming after 😊
I'm still so blown away at see that rattler there!!
@@OutNaturing All good Mike, I am a night owl....plus the fact the comment was in jest and meant as humour.
You keep putting them up and I will be watching.
I had to laugh about the spiders! I absolutely hate spiders! That and snakes, and anything alien related lol. I hate alien movies, omg! Give me ghosts any day, but aliens, yikes! Wait, we're talking about nature, go on. :)
Haha Lily😆 i think I'd take the aliens over spiders ! They creep me out so much and that 1st tunnel had to have 1000s of those spiders all over the roof!
