Massive Culverts Found on Tiny Creek!!
Hiking off trail I stumbled on two massive stone culverts on a tiny creek that were hidden in plain sight. Might have been used during mining and rail station near by.

What a disgrace , how kids have ruined it ,I hate seeing this kind of destruction..real shame ,thanks for the video
Yea nice vid bro
I never understood why the federal government would make A&TT dropped Bell telephone. The Bell company built the phone system as we know it.
Can you give me the address or directions? I love nearby and want to visit.
@Starshinehavoc if you Google graffiti bridge it will definitely come up in the results . 40.47069, -75.92066 are the coords
@OutNaturing it comes up but no clear directions
@@OutNaturing i found it! Thank you for your help. If there are any other cool places in Columbia, I'd greatly appreciate the cooridants. I'm gonna make a day out of it
I live in the vicinity of this mountain and lived in the area for the past 21 years and never knew that there was a trail to go up it. Trying to figure out how to access the trail. I would like to launch a drone from the top and get a view of both sides of the mountain that basically splits the countryside and the city of Scranton. I also have done the nearby Campbells Ledge trail, I would highly recommend that one too.
If you go to stevens and street and there's a bridge across over pennsylvania, there's a bridge the Duryea swamps
There's a dunmore pennsylvaniamore pennsylvania, lookout, I heard that's
Sound quality is awesome bro..keep the awesome videos coming.
i remember seeing these towers growing up in northern mn.
@@justinl7496 sad the tore them down I heard 😢
Does anyone know where this is located? I'd like to go walk that creek.

@@OutNaturing thank you 👍
It’s loaded with bass, great fishing. Use to be open to everyone, but the owner has shut it down. You go in at your own risk.
@@SquirrelDarling1 I know! So sad. Was such a great spot to hike
How have I not seen this yet?!!!
@erinsmith2793 love you E!
I bet that suv belongs to a missing person.
That was about as random as the pissing in the woods scene in the first Harold and Kumar lol
Have You Ever Filmed The Nay Aug Water Falls And Gorge At Nay Aug Park In Scranton; Another Great Hiking Adventure. Plus Two Very Old Rail Road Tunnels...
@@jerrycallaio5130 I have!
@@OutNaturing Good To Hear; Can You Link Me To The Video IF It's Here?
IF You Follow The Springs Starting At The Reservoir Discharge; About Half Way Towards The Large Water Fall Is Another Water Fall; Fairly Large Where Folks Made A Small And "Damed" Swimming Area (Circa 1972).... ThankYou For These Memories!
I'm going to have to check this out!
@@OutNaturing It's Really Cool.... The Stream Flows Through Some Steep Hillsides.... Not The Grand Canyon But Very Scenic. Second Waterfall Is About 20 Feet But It May Be Smaller. The Large One Looked 100 Feet In My Youth; So I Could Be Off...LOL...Again Thank You For Your Filming; Hope To See A Video Of You Walking Along The Stream
Is the old guy still around chasing people out?
too bad this channel stopped making vids. they just needed a subject change. do any backpacking this year yet shertza?
Gorgeous
Thank you! ☺️
Long line is long wave communication. Not affected by em wave disturbance from nuclear weapons.
Great job putting this together! You should have seen the falls before they put the high voltage power lines in. There used to be huge hemlocks all over.
This place has to be one of my favorite places to hike close by. All the waterfalls are just beautiful
Very cool, thanks for posting!
Great to see you Mike
sweeeeeet
Cool !!
Awesome ❤😊
This is much more your speed mike!
Graffiti at 6:16 😂
It’s a shame they drained it, it was a shallow dam and would never have failed, they said it was leaking which was bullshit, they said do to liability concerns and safety, I would have told them liability lawyers to go to hell, I found out to late about this , The Jessup council should designate all dams left on the mountain are landmarks and cannot be destroyed, Eagles preserve is supposed to preserve landmarks, they failed with Connor’s dam, we must prevent the 3rd dam from being drained!
so many dams in PA are getting drained. its a shame
Each of these tunnel approaches look just like the eastern-most approach to the Manunka Chunk twin bores on the old Lackawanna Main in NJ, between Delaware and Belvidere. Norm in Branchville, NJ.
It's good to see a film by you again.
The switch house would be cool to restore and live in. The Delaware Lackawanna and Western Railway did a lot of structures in concrete like this, so it will definately last a long time.
Don't know if I said that in the video but I was thinking the same thing. Would make for an awesome home!
@@OutNaturing Just looking at overhead views on GoogleMaps and looks like the depot there has razed.
My grandparents used to live around there. Spent many days there as a kid. There’s even more falls maybe half a mile up creek. A landowner used to let us back other falls to swim.
I'll definitely have to come back and check them out!
What’s going on w the Appalachian Trail hike?
That small pond you referred to as "swamp" to the right of the bridge at the beginning of your video, was known as the Erie Pond.
Thank you!
Graffiti on that exploder yo looks on 🔥
Yes, that was/is a jumping tree. ~80' estimated. The target spot in the water was mighty small from up there. I lived close to the park in the 90's and would frequent the park year round. Slipped at that spot several times in the winter
Is that near Keyser Ave and Morgan Highway?
Microwave TDMA voice only. Backhaul was 90 watts. Ig ass feedhorns are cool....when in use they ring !!!!! Literaly
That's the AT&T Long Lines site on west mountain.
Yeah, as the other comments suggest, Mr. Rosencrance, a local farmer/land owner, started a haunted hayride in the Bald Mountain area, then he expanded it into a Christmas program. I used to know the family and even did some photographs for them years back. He made a GREAT Santa, real white beard and all! He also had real, live reindeer, and I remember that one actually got loose one year the night before buck season (of all nights), and was mistakenly shot and killed by one of the neighbors first thing in the morning on opening day -- he was mortified when he realized what he shot. I've been out of touch with the family for quite a few years and have no idea whether they still do it or not, but I'd bet money that's what this stuff is from.
Brings back some GREAT memories -- I lived about 1/2 mile away from the south portal, near the high-school, in the early '70's when I was 8 years old! My best buddy lived just down the road in the next house after the high-school, and we used to cut back through the woods behind his house and drop stuff down into that ventilation shaft just to see/hear it "explode" when it hit the bottom, lol! (That was BEFORE it was capped.) Somewhere down there you'll find what's left of my Spiderman lunch box that we filled with marbles and said, "bombs away" as we let it fly 😂. I also tripped on an exposed root and came within inches of falling from the TOP of that south entrance once, too. Yeah... GREAT video. Thanks loads for bringing back memories of one of the happiest times of my childhood. Subscribed!
Thanks so much for watching! Glad to bring back some memories and create some news ones for myself! It was a blast to find and get to explore 😀
When I saw this tunnel of trees come over my fb feed today I could not believe it existed, so thank you for your video!
So glad you enjoyed the video. It was honestly enchanting here!
I just ran across this vid in my feed...very cool! I frequented this area quite a bit in my teen years. Those large rocks at the start of the vid used to be known, at least back in my day, as 'The Indian Church'. I took my children there a few times . There is so much beauty and history in this area! It's too bad much of it was not preserved.
Are the roofs of these concrete as well?
#7 is being demolished right now! Tore down the valve house and the dam is 90% drained.
So sad. They are taking down a lot of the old dams in Pennsylvania.
Still doing videos
I plan to start up again! Had a lot going on this past year! Miss filming🥲
@OutNaturing I'm still doing it not as much anymore but I keep going...
I think that is a person were wearing a safety helmet and one of those big stones came down, it would probably kill you but a helmet on your dome may be a good idea for a smaller rock that may NOT kill you if you had a helmet on you head:) Good show!
Nice job! I remember as a kid in the 50’s watching older kids under the bridge jumping off the ledges at the falls into the pothole below! What fun!
Have you ever thought about bringing a metal detector with you exploding the abandoned Train tracks, who knows what railroad treasure you might find ?????
