I made a small batch of these and used just a little in a client's footbath...... She was absolutely DELIGHTED with all the bubbles! Took a WHILE to get all the bubbles cleaned up, but the look on her face was worth the extra work.
I tried this recipe and am in love. It’s nice and bubbly and quick. I have been making bath salts for some time now using fifty million different salts 😂😂😂. This is now my go to recipe! Thanks so much
I am new to your channel and all I can say is that it's like stepping into a new world. I enjoy everything you do, it's beautiful and I will try and make some for myself, too.
SO beautiful!! I ordered 30lb of salt over the weekend with holiday discounts. Perfect timing!! My question- shouldn’t we add poly 80 for the fragrance oil? Also, my parents home had Great water pressure. When I moved into a home 20 years newer, the pressure was a disappointment. But, at least in sinks, feel under the water spout itself. You can twist off something pretty easily (not sure if it was because the home was just built), but unscrew it with your fingers and you will find a little mesh screen. Remove that and keep it labeled somewhere just in case. Removing the mesh piece increases the water pressure. It won’t come out like older construction, but every little bit helps. Then reattach the metal piece without the mesh. My bathtub didn’t have anything I could remove. You could try installing a detachable shower head that has adjustable speeds from a soft, gentle rainfall, to a hard pulse to simulate a massage. Let the hand piece fall to near the bottom of the tub (hold it so it doesn’t spray everywhere) and pour the salts through the shower stream for extra agitation. Hope the idea helps!
You CAN add it if you want - but I had NO issues with the fragrance oil beading on top the water or sticking to the tub after. I will 100% see if I can remove the mesh (I actually know what you're talking about). I tried the detachable shower head thing & was probably worse. Thanks for the tip tho!
This made for such a lovely relaxing bath. The best and most straightforward recipe out there! Thank you for sharing, I was going through tough times and your project and instructions helped me so much, thank you thank you! ❤
Dora, I love this. I’ve tried to make salts using other recipes and they all fail. I’m keen to try yours. Instead of SLSA can I substitute goat’s milk powder? If so how much would you recommend? Also can I use a little oil, such as coconut, and if so how much? And lastly, because I want to add colours, can I add some Polysorbate 80 and if so, how much? Thanks so much in anticipation. I would really appreciate your help and advice.
Your creations are absolutely BEAUTYFUL!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽standing ovation!! I love your creativity!! You are a blessing for sharing your beautiful works with everyone! I love seeing when you have uploaded new videos! I never know what you'll create next! Question, I see that you always add in to wear a mask when working with SLSA. Is a mask needed (when saying, doing this recipe) when adding it in to mix it with the salts or when laying it out to dry and mixing in the colors? I've never used SLSA before and I'm kinda hesitant because of not being knowledgeable with it. Thanks Dora!!
First, GREAT QUESTION. I'm horrible when it comes to protection - I never wear masks or gloves or anything. But it is recommended to wear a mask. SLSa is pretty mild, esp. in comparison to SCS. Sodium coco sulfate (SCS) agitates my throat the most out of ALL of the powder surfactants. But It's bad to breathe in any particles- PERIOD. so try to avoid it if possible. This is mostly an issue when the powder surfactant is fresh out the bag; when you're measuring, sieving, & stirring it. Handle it VERY slowly during this time to reduce airborne particles. You should be good after you add the liquid & mix it in. After that, it's not going to flow freely in the air.
I’ve been dealing with long covid and it is NO joke. I’m trying to get on disability because I can barely walk it’s so exhausting. Need to use a wheelchair to conserve energy. I have a N95 mask I use when opening the SLSA bag and I swear I choke just looking at it 😂😕, but my next *big* purchase will be a p100 mask, then an actual 1/2 respirator if the p100 gets a similar result. Hard to say if covid or SLSA is harder to breathe with; so you can imagine the double whammy with both. Mask is TIGHT against me. Ive tried mixing SLSA in between all the powders, and into the liquids. You only have one body. Be kind to it and mask up people!❤❤❤
Cannot wait to try out this recipe! I can't see how much of the salt you used. Did you use the whole jar and how long will this be good for before expiring? Thank you.
Beautiful under water shots! Love it so much! Question please, the glitter is lovely in the water but will it stick to your skin or wash off easily? Thank you!
hi there, I Love your videos! I wondered if you could add oils or like pumpkin powder to make it silkier on the skin? Or would that make it not foam as much?
She used her color powder she makes. She has the video in her videos… and those are made using dye colorants n lil bit of lake dyes as well on a base like corn starch or baking soda
I have a customer who loves my bubblebath powders and my liquid bubblebaths, but her daughter cannot use my products bcus I use salsa can I use liquid 60%odium lacate instead
i agree i'm from the UK and our cup sizes are different to US cup sizes and try google an answer leaves you so confused because of the 1000 different answers. Its so much easier when a recipe is in grams or has the gram amount available also. I love this channel and i often make the recipes with my daughter for fun but i will only try the ones that clearly have gram amounts listed otherwise it just ends up not working so you waste ingredients.
Can these be baked to dry faster? Or do they have to be left out? I have a toddler and not sure I’ll be able to keep him away from the table for 24 hours 😅
I tried this exact recipe and had some staining in my tub. Is there a way to prevent the staining because I love this idea, but the staining is a huge no for my customers.
I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve never had this issue. If you’re using mica or oil-dispersible colorants, add more polysorbate 80. If using water soluble dyes/colorants , you’ll just have to use less

beautiful creations as usual :) I was thinking you need Poly 80 for the colour to not stick to bath? Thank you @@CreativeBathLab

Does this formula leave a ring around the tub like some bath bombs do? I'm wondering if polysorbate 80 would be a good addition
Love this!!!

I Love your videos .
LOVE IT! ❤
I have sensitivity to citric acid
Can I substitute that with. Lactic acid or ascorbic acid ?
Thank u, you're so amazing
Happy to help!
hi there, I Love your videos! I wondered if you could add oils or like pumpkin powder to make it silkier on the skin? Or would that make it not foam as much?
Yes you can!
Loovley!! ❤
If you use essential oil instead of fragrance could you use a touch of carrier oil?
Do you find that the glitter or mica stick to you or the tub after you're done in the bath? Or does the powder dye the skin or tub?
I used a recipe that you had on your older fizzy bath salt vid and it didn’t fizz much, what can cause this?
What can i use to replace the SLSA ?
Any powder surfactant
Heya, love your channel, I was just wondering if there are any substitutes for SLSa? Could you use Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate?
Thanks xx
Yes of course!
Can I ask what type of coloring I can use not only color the salt but also the water in the tub? (food color didnt work)
She used her color powder she makes. She has the video in her videos… and those are made using dye colorants n lil bit of lake dyes as well on a base like corn starch or baking soda
Your link to the mica doesn’t work. Can you send me that link.
Does the mix have to be run through a blender? I don't have one and usually mix with my hands.
no. who said anything about a blender?
I have a customer who loves my bubblebath powders and my liquid bubblebaths, but her daughter cannot use my products bcus I use salsa can I use liquid 60%odium lacate instead

Dora, can you replace it with grammage and not cup?

can I add food coloring liquid after dry?
It’ll only color the salts and not the water if you want best results watch her color powder video and order yourself some dyes

Try it & see!
Did you use the whole bottle in the bath?
Hey i tried this recipe but idk why it's get foamy and very moisturized
Can we swap slsa for sci?
