- In 1982, Rajesh Khanna came to Vancouver for a show and we had the pleasure to interview him. He performed to a sold out house in town and was so thankful to his fans in Vancouver. We talked to him about his movies and his successes. It was a pleasure to interview Bollywood's first super star.

His smile and looking sideways at the interviewer make it look like he's very shy. Simple positioning makes a lot of difference. Rajesh Khanna is truly the biggest star. I cried on seeing his death news. I am 65 now.

@@manusehgal4659 I worry for our children. This entire world is becoming very toxic and great values and morals are dissapearing. I spent lots of quality time with my kids and attend all the family gathering etc. and try and lead by great example and thank God I have good kids but still how the world is, influences them to a degree....Its very important that we try and have good family lives because families are the building blocks of society. The stronger the families, the better the society and we must teach our kids to respect all people and live in harmony.

Very true. T.V. serial actors also act in interview. Their expressions are loud and fake. Even show anchors and news readers/reporters.

One interesting thing to note that how polite and humble earlier superstars were! If we watch interviews of today's stars we find a sense of boast and pride. That gentle and humbleness is there no more...
Still there are humble actors like Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin, Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkumar Rao and several others

Minute: 8:01 in the video is PRICELESS. So honest! He agrees that he felt good with the adulation he was receiving! Most people would give an answer that they don't really let those things affect them and continue their job/passion etc.
Biggest thing that stands out is how honest and in-tune he was with his emotions.

I believe this is his personality. Which came through many of the characters he portrayed. This is why it was difficult for him to handle attacks of media and from within the film industry. He is a great artist with unparalleled talents.

Rajesh khanna portrays a very humble, decent, shy, intelligent, elegant but stylish guy with his unique skills and unusual talent as an artist, charismatic aura and charming expressions. A real superstar who doesn't appear like an arrogant or tired, as long as I can guess, through his way of speaking, politeness, entirely pretty smile, fresh face, and unique mannerism.
What a clever and intelligent answer to a question regarding grading, rating, and classification. All this is really very impressive. He is still ruling the hearts even after his departure from this world. RIP

After years and years of watching an old tired out and sick Rajesh , this is one of the very very special and rare interviews in you tube of the man at his peak. Frankly it’s interesting how few interviews of his are on RUclips. I’m sure he must have given a thousand interviews that can be published He is a cool cat , sharp , composed and effortlessly charming. The face has no lines , no wrinkles and the smile is dazzling. Obviously he seems to have been a very shy man and maybe that was misunderstood by a lot of people who did not get quality time with him. The voice is very powerful. It’s like a smoothly humming Ferrari. Why couldn’t his directors use him just as he is in this interview in movies and why did they make him over act ??? He should have also sung a few songs. The voice suits mellow numbers.
Regarding his voice , I wonder why the commentators down play how powerful it is. Mere shouting in every film does not mean a great voice.

Here he looks utterly suave and humble. After 1985 he seems to have aged fast. But in this video he is at his best.

Fantastic comment sir! His voice was soothing and yet very intense. I also agree that his voice was never utilized properly by his directors even though he was great at modulating his voice. The legend oozed effortless charm and blended it with his huge unending reservoir of charisma to generate the most unique phenomenon in the entire history of Indian Cinema. :-)

It is a 1985 interview, after success of 8 films in 1985 including - Maqsad . He even mentions completed 21 years in industry since 1966. ( RUclips title has error of with wrong year)
