Great video. My question is , Does the printing company do editing for the pictures.
Or do you have to do do it myself before uploading on to cloud spot

Katelynn, what do you do when your client wants something retouched after they've seen their gallery? I just had a senior portrait Mom ask me if I could replace the movie titles on a marquee on a cinema portrait session I photographed. So if they want something retouched or artwork like that, do I do the work and of course charge a little more but then upload the newer version with the retouching/artwork?

Great question!! We don’t typically do edits like this, but occasionally we have had a client ask for a black and white photo. If it’s one that I can re-edit, I will just add to their gallery in a new folder! 😊

@@katelynworkman Katelyn, I've finally getting the hang of Cloudspot lol. It's take a while to get used to it. I'm sure there is lots more for me to learn though. My worse fear is messing up on permissions and someone getting way more than they paid for by downloading more images than they paid for. I'm super careful about turning off everything and I use watermarks. I love the watermarks feature it has saved me so much time. I make my clients select their images from a proof gallery, they don't get lots of images from me unless they pay for that session up front.

Does cloudspot prevent people from screen shooting their prints before they've paid?

I don’t think you can truly prevent people from screen-shotting with any gallery service, but there is a way to add a watermark- so you can do that for their proofs! We personally don’t use that model, we deliver all digital images for them included in their package. 😊

The only thing I don't think I would like about this is that it seams like there would be a lot of getting images ready on the front end, like it's not a proof gallery, it's a finished image gallery. How many images are you getting print ready for these galleries? All of them I guess? The way I'm doing my galleries is I upload them all to a gallery on my squarespace website and then they select their final images. I have a watermark on all the images.

Totally different business model! We don’t have clients select the final images- we just deliver all that we want them to have! But you could definitely use the same model with cloudspot and just upload with a watermark the same way that you do to square space. 😊

@@katelynworkman Thank you for your reply Katelyn. Do you mind me asking how many high resolution images they receive for what price/investment? I actually do this business model, for model portfolios. They receive 20 high resolution images for 450. There is someone in my town that is my top competitor for model portfolios and they give them 40 high res for the same price. I used to do the same and realized it wasn't sustainable to do so much for so little. I'm thinking about separating my commercial work and my portrait clients into two separate websites because I could see how portrait clients might be upset if they didn't receive near as many images, although, I don't have those numbers on my website.

I've been using Cloudspot galleries. There is definitely a learning curve lol. I love the look of the galleries though. Now I'm trying to create other galleries or folders for the same client. I don't know how but know that you can.

You can have the clients pick the images with hearts. They get an on screen counter to tell them what they've selected, and they can pick how many prints they want. Also instead of having the images sent to print you can set it to Self fulfillment and you will instead receive a list of what the client ordered and how many of each picture and size.

Very good, but you went too fast. Hard to track.

So sorry! You can slow the speed in your settings on RUclips if that helps! 🙂
