I disagree I do think Brooks is a bad person. To even have the idea to go out of your way to hurt a person unprovoked is the very definition of a bad person. It boggles the mind how he does all this egregious stuff on camera & it's been minimalized. That guy is psycho.
yeah, there's a difference between playing up being a villain for the cameras and taking out frustration on a cameraman. he's the vontaze burfict of the nba, except vontaze was actually pretty good at his job. dillon brook will never be an all-star and we wouldn't even be talking about him if he wasn't acting like a clown.

Great video. I've been waiting for someone to address this after watching his antics over the last couple months. He reminds me of a WWE villain. He's obviously addicted to the attention he's been getting.
Rodman, Attest and Stevenson were not villains. They were heels. You hated to play against them, but, you'd love them on your team. They bring that much value, and they actually turn out to be pretty solid people when the competition is over. I'm not sure I can say the same about this Brooks fella.
To me, having bullies and psychos in major league sports is a danger to the sport and to the hundreds of millions of dollars that the teams invest in recruiting, training and fielding the best talent in the world. It's no accident that these cheap-shot artists usually go after the stars, not the bench jockies, trying to get a rep and make a name for themselves ("The only bad publicity is an accurate obituary." Mark Twain). if I were an owner of a major sport franchise, I would be petitioning the league officers for those bad guys who play dirty to be banned for the sport for life. Maybe an "anger management" intervention the first time, but zero tolerance the next.
With players like Dillon Brooks and Grayson Allen, the league (and by that I mean players) needs to teach them that there is an unspoken argreement to keep everyone healthy and safe. And that if you disregard that agreement, then you forfeit that protection. Every team they play needs to beat the shit out of them until they either get it, or are too hurt to keep playing, but only them. Don't take the collective anger out on the rest of their teammates, and their teammates should not defend them. And if Grayson or Brooks complains to their teammates, they should be told to stop playing like dicks and maybe the punishment will stop. The loyalty needs to be for the safety of the league as a whole, not your asshole teammates..
That's a really dumb idea. Just suspend bad actors and if they keep doing it make it so no team will want them, akin to Vontaze Burfict from the NFL. Psychopaths do not belong on the court. There's a huge obvious difference between physical play and intending to do harm.
Honestly, what was Brooks thinking when he expected Kyrie Irving to hang his jersey on the wall, next to the ones of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum and so on
There is a difference between being super aggressive and outright trying to injure someone. Putting Brooks in the same category is an insult to the others
Thanks for this vid....wasn't quite sure why DB was getting all the hate....this makes it crystal clear....I think we have seen the last of this guy???
I agree with what some others have said... I don't really care about his personality or the kind of trash he talks. What I care more about is when he deliberately and purposely tries (and succeeds) to hurt players during games. What he did to my guy, GP2 last year during an important playoff series (a series my Dubs could have lost if not for level playing field due to Ja's injury) was inexcusable immature and outright dangerous. The fact that he's only continued this behavior this year shows everyone what he's really about. To me, everything (the deterrents, the rules around suspensions, fines etc.) changes when people are intentionally trying to hurt other people. Simply put, something needs to be done! Otherwise, do we have to wait until someone's career is ended by this fool before something is done? I sure hope not... because we all know what direction the finger-pointing will go. And don't say it probably won't happen... the idiot has already tried to seriously hurt other players. Simply because he hasn't succeeded yet in ending someone's career shouldn't mean we just sit back and wait for it to happen.
It drove me crazy as a defencive-minded sports person that people were defending Brooks on the GP2 foul, saying he didn't deserve an ejection or a suspension, saying he was just playing hard defence. If i ever saw my teammate do that and act like he did nothing, I'd lose my shit at him. He should've been suspended for the entire series, if not more, in my opinion.
Not a Brooks fan, but he isn't a bad player, and it'd be a shame if he ends up clowning his way out of the league. Grizzlies need to counsel or intervene earlier with their players who seem to have psych issues (see Exh. A: Morant).
I’m guessing if he gets injured, it will be pure crickets out there. You only have 450ish NBA players active any given year (and most are there multiple years), the fraternity is super close. Lucky he’s Canadian, otherwise we might see another US national team snub from the rest of the players.
I've watched all those clips separately but back to back like in your video showcases undeniable proof the malice intent "Dynasty" Brook's has in other players. Pro wrestling is also entertaining but they don't bounce a ball in the ring pretending to be basketball players.
im a recently returning casual fan after decades of not paying attention to the nba. does his name belong in the group of players mentioned as villains? they had play to back up being a star not just their ability to be a pest. i saw some highlights where he played some good d on golden state but Memphis still got cooked those games.
I completely forgot about that 3 teams trade 😂 as a suns fan I just wanted Ariza out as soon as possible and was happy but thank goodness it didn’t go through because of the wrong brooks.
