I never really understood hobbyists who are in it to frag corals and never let frags grow into colonies. Full grown colonies look awesome and has always been my reef tank objective to have full sized colonies and matured look like beautiful reef tank to look at. These days I see mostly hobbyists with frag tanks rather than reef tanks. Alot of times hobbyists these days place a hundred frags close together with no real thought behind it of future coral warfare problems but I guess if ppl just frag and frag then they can maintain a hundred frags close together.
A tank with colonies is a beautiful sight, for sure. However, much like your yard, you don't want the colonies to get overgrown, so fragging is still an important piece of the equation.

My copper and never touched any aptasias, my filefish ate all, majano, aptasias but also zoas, scoly, LPS.. 😅 Know I prefer have some lps with a few majano and aptasia instead of none of them a not lps..
