Great video. The Ferguson System did for the farm what the Teleporter did for the building site and the mobile phone did to the telephone box… revolutionised the way we live in a lifetime. Keep up the good work.

Great video as usual. In 1971 I had hauled in silage with a TVO 20 and JF trailer, no pickup hitch just a 9 hole bar, there was another 20 pushing up on the pit,Massey 65 pulling 32 inch side mounted Tarrup single chop in the field....This farm outside Kells is still in the same family. These days whenever I see them cutting silage with butterfly mower,New Holland self propelled and4 Kane trailers my mind always wanders back😅

Good video very informative. Lots of Ferguson 20s used in the west of ireland up until bigger horsepower was required.
Lots of them still used for yard cleaning and bog work.Dont tell Eamonn Ryan or he will ban them.Great tractors.

The hand shake agreement with ford was a complicated mess. History has it that Ford broke the agreement with the 8N. Ferguson was developing his own tractor also to directly compete with Ford a few years prior to that. I am simplifying this as there is way more to the story. I am a Ford fan. I have 3, n series tractors, and a 971. I live in North Dakota.

Excellent video, I used to drive a 35x for a farmer in the 80s. It was a lovely tractor, it was mainly used for scraping yards
