The S9 is a great phone, but not much of an upgrade. If you're looking for a new phone, S9 or Note 8 are good, but if you have the S8, it's not worth it.

I have this phone (S9+). Apps close too often because it wants a bunch of free RAM instead of allowing me to keep apps in there. What's the point of 6 GB of RAM if you can only really use 2 GB long term after Android uses 3 GB already and 1 GB is always freed up? It also has a burnt in title bar and button bar (before I removed it to enable gestures), but most things still look amazing on it since most videos are 16:9 while the phone has a larger aspect ratio (18.5:9) and when I'm browsing, the title bar has a different color from the rest of the screen anyway (often black, which is what caused it to burn in). I only see it when watching 21:9 videos since that's a larger aspect ratio than the phone has.

Honestly I want Samsung to remove the headphone jack, it looks just so... Outdated... I see absolutely no benefit of having it around, except if you have a mental disorder and like sitting in a corner with your headphones while charging your phone. I mean, why do people choose the Pixel over Samsung, maybe because Pixel is a more complete product and does not feature an unnecessary outdated piece of technology that sure as hell doesn't have quality as good as a lightning port/USB Type C connector.
