I'm so disappointed that Hasbro has decided to abandon the original character aspect of the recent Transformers crossovers. Ectotron and Gigawatt are two of my favorite transformers, and what I love about them is that they're not "Bumblebee but he turns into a delorean" or "Shitty robot version of Winston" or something. They're original characters, and that was so much better as a crossover gimmick. I could picture Marty McFly and Doc being, like, friends, with Gigawatt and the Autobots. It felt like a legitimate crossover, and they were such good figures. A "G.I.Joe figure but actually it's Bumblebee" figure is way less interesting. I already have Bumblebee. I have a bunch of Bumblebees. And Bumblebee isn't even a good choice for a Joe vehicle! Honestly I feel like Maverick (bleh) and Xpanse did poorly because they're kinda not the greatest figures and are way overpriced, and because of that they're like "Maybe if we do Megs and Bee again?" instead of actually reconsidering that maybe the individual toys were just not great.
The difference is that the other Collaborative Transformers do not come with action figures and are not scaled to allow GI Joe action figures to drive them. This line is a true crossover between both Hasbro toylines, so including familiar Autobots and Deceptions alongside the Cobras and Joe's was an absolute must. I guarantee that is what most fans of these franchises wanted. I appreciate the new characters (Ectotron, Tyrannocon Rex, etc), but not seeing the likes of Megatron or Soundwave in this particular crossover would have been super disappointing for most of us. Especially if there was an accompanying cartoon series or comic for this toyline, and Megatron and Bumblebee wasn't part of it.

@@fennekin1750 I agree those would have been better choices, but meh. I'm not losing sleep over Bumblebee. He's the one with his own TV show.
@@MonsterKidCory Bumblebe doesn't have his own TV show. Are you talking about Cyberverse, cuz that isn't Bumblebee's show, it was probably marketing, but isn't his show
Not bad not bad. I really don’t know why they don’t just go all in on these crossovers. If they pulled out all the stops, put more money into these and got more buzz going about them I guarantee they’d sell like gangbusters
Honestly I think out of Megatron and Bumblebee I choose Bumblebee but if it's this vs a studio series toy, I gonna have to go with studio series
kinda wish they weren't gong with the 'o-ring' figures - around half of the joes i have from my childhood have split in half because the o-ring perished.
GI Joe had a couple of Jeep style vehicles, I hope they do Hound.
Color wise hound would have been a better character choice.
Bee sells better.
Honestly, they should have done Hound transforming into the G.I. Joe VAMP, it would make a lot of sense!
I agree! Or made this guy Beachcomber
4:1 the back of his head could be used as a face it self lol
If ya don't think so. Then what was sound waves face tfp
Flaws and all I'd have killed to have these as a kid.
Hound probably would've fit the VAMP better because he's larger than Bumblebee.
The original stalker which that figure is based from did not have a backpack either just the gun.
Ah I see! Thanks for the info!
A.W.E. Striker? more like goofy ahh Striker! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
This could kind of work as ww2 bumblebee from the last knight
01:34 that comment made me feel ancient
Ah I am sorry man haha
Yeah, I'll wait for him to be 70% off before I buy him. Same with hiss Megatron. You know these will not sell and are gonna be clearanced out. Even a good crossover set like the Jurassic park one is on heavy clearance.
I know they’re doing G1 inspired stuff but I think G1 or Bayverse Hound would have worked better for this design, the yellow and green clash too much.
If they continue they are probably saving hound for the vamp
そういえば…GI・Joeとトランスフォーマーのコラボは今まで無かったなぁ…平成版ミクロマンとは(リデコ版で)発売された記憶は有るけど。
More than Bumblebee, this could have been a great Beachcomber...
You know this thing had not effort placed in it when they chose bumblebee over Beachcomber to be a dune buggy
I don't like it. I don't like the price point. I don't like that they picked Bumble Bee for the AWE Striker. I think they just picked the ones they felt are the most popular/iconic transformers that would make sense. It would have been cool to see Optimus as something from the GI Joe line that could match up against Megatron, but what vehicle? I think that Hound or Beach Comber would have been better for the AWE Striker, but I guess they don't have too many small ground vehicles to pick from for GI Joe for a Bumble Bee.
I do like the Soundwave, though! I mean, I'm not really getting it for the Thunder Machine mode, but I like the Figures it comes with and I like Soundwave.. and in robot mode he looks good enough. I didn't really like the Megatron HISS tank but maybe one day I will get it at a decent price used, if it comes with the Baroness.
