Rally Argentina provides drivers with a mix of hard, rocky roads on some stages with soft gravel and dirt on others. The rally always presents one of the best challenges in the WRC.
From the rugged mountains to the Pampas Plains, Rally Argentina is a test for the greatest drivers on the planet. Revisit one of the greatest events in the history of the race with some classic footage from the 2002 World Rally Championship that saw rally legends Marcus Grunholm, Richard Burns and Tommi Makinen battle for the rally win. At the start of the final day of the rally, nobody could have predicted the unlikely outcome, nor could they foresee the drama that would unfold.

In 2002 I saw my first WRC Rally live (it was Germany). It was one of the greatest years in WRC. So many producers (Ford, Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Subaru, Skoda, Hyundai, Citroen). In many rallies some of them had 4 cars (in Germany Peugeot and Subaru). Plus there were a lot of private WRC entries (old Toyota Corolla for example),. In Germany that year there were about 30 WRC cars!!! In Poland that same time we had 4-5 WRC, and that too was amazing! A lot of that was thx to tabbaco companies, that heavelly invested in sport. For me, those years of late '90 early '00 were the golden era, not the B-group.
PS I spectate rallies since 1994, but it was olny after 8 years that I first went abroad for a WRC Rally.
