  • 1996: Peggy Alcorn, an airshow comedy pilot, died when her plane went out of control at a Racine, Wisconsin airshow. She had been flying erratically as part of a comedy act in which she pretended to be an inexperienced pilot. Some spectators thought her crash was part of the act.

    I live right by this airport. We have not had an airshow here since this happened.

      There's been a group trying to put one together, but they've never had success.

    I was there and saw it happen. I remember it pretty clearly for only being a kid at the time. Surprised to find a video of it.
