i met jeff in 91 in kelowna he was dating a penthouse pet who was a friend of a friend of mine,he signed a picture i had on my wall of him playing at the marquee
Seen these guys in the clubs back in the beginning days and they should have been bigger here in the states...Jeff Waters is a cool down to earth kind of guy...he would have a smoke and a drink back then and just be like a life long friend..actually the whole band was cool to me atleast
you can hear that this song is too difficult for Jeff to sing...too bad he's left alone to perform the lead vocals duties. there simply are songs he can't do justice
you have to give credit to the man who's double tasking. The reason why Jeff handles the vocals duties is to simplify things with the management. We're in a shrinking market, most of bands don't get paid like they used to and to make a living they have to sacrifice lots of things. Especially air plane tickets are very expensive and some country like the states ask to pay a visa and all that kind of crap, all this do dammage to the bands who are trying to make a living, for at least paying the bills. Music business is a fucking bitch man.
What on earth does this guy use in the recording studio to get such a clear and heavy sound ?! Does anyone also have any shots of his LIVE pedal board ?
he uses a line 6 helix so he doesn't have specific pedals, he usually uses now a days a hughes and kettner grandmeister 36 head with a 212 cab, but hes been known to use a coreblade head and a 412 cab
Jeff Waters is one of the most under-rated guitarists in metal
loved this tune back in the day
Absolute huge inspiration to me. That clean tone was so nutty
when you look at jeff, playing guitar seems so easy.... even the solo!
The song starts in 2:25
That is one of the greatest guitar solos ever…
Jeff is great with his blues rock licks, very interesting playing
Please Jeff, bring Dave Padden back!!!
He plays in a cover band in Vancouver now.
Coburn just called and said quit fucking up my song!
lol... too bad he didn't continue with Omen or Prisoner... never heard of him after Never Neverland... 1991?
