Yessss! Let's be cringe together! haha!
One thing I've learned is that page decoration is an important part of my journaling process, even though the decorations often have nothing to do with the day.
When I switched to a standalone journal instead of using Hobonichi Cousin pages, I was like "I don't need to decorate, I can just focus on writing!" And then I just ... completely lost the journaling habit. Never found time for it, never really felt like doing it. When I decided to start using random stickers and washi again, all of a sudden I was way more inspired. I guess even just ripping off a single piece of washi and sticking it on a corner gets my brain into the journaling mood.
I loved reading about your habits and learnings! I love that! I think I'm the same too. Collaging and sticking down fun stationery gets the journaling juices flowing!

I've been journaling in a Hobonichi Techo this year, first time using one- and I journal in the evening. But I think I'll try journaling in the morning because you're so right about sometimes missing stuff that may have happened that night. Thanks for sharing! 😊❤️

🧋.. I like to doodle, draw, and use washi. However, I find that I feel my pages are empty unless I have photos for the day 😊.. I would say my routine is writing in my planner after dinner so I can write about the important/happy/upsetting/things that happened in the day.
