I’m pleased Eddie has asked questions of our mentality last night but I’m surprised it’s taken so long.
I’m also baffled at why Eddie keeps picking injured players there is something not right, it’s clear he knows they’re injured I don’t buy medical team saying they are ok for 20 mins or whatever a hard tackle could set them back months.

I'm actually happy to see Eddie Howe question the mentality of our players especially it was our first game back since April 13th
Our medical staff definitely need replacing in the Summer just mental how they deem Livramento to be fit on the bench for the Spurs and Palace games when he is quickly injured again
Palacios would be an ideal acquisition in the Summer we should be able to bounce back with a win against Sheff United on Saturday

If you pass as slow as a tortoise across the back line and we don’t have players to distribute like that in Krafth burn and Murphy your always going to be susceptible to the press. Eddie needs to be able to change formation proactively if the team is not performing in the system he set pre match. Easily to bring on hall for Murphy at halftime and revert back to our 4-3-3 formation. Any player who is not able to play should not be on bench. As for 90th minute subs what was he on. He is masking his mistakes like ten hag now.

I'm glad Eddie's came out and ruffled a few feathers. At this stage of the season when we're fighting for European football, you need players to stand up and be counted, this includes not being outplayed by a team like Palace in midtable. A bit of nastiness is required sometimes when the standards are way below what we want.

The squad is full of Championship players and has terrible injuries. You can't keep making them better players and performing well above their ceiling. Sometimes you just hit a brick wall. Newcastle are doing this regularly. That shows the need for many new players. To me both Eddie Howe and the players can't keep on going to a well that is currently beyond their reach.
Hard to take but it is what it is.
Totally agree about the Livramento situation. Eddie's thought process is quite alarming.

To be fair, I'm so glad to see Eddie pushing back on his players. There's far, far too much passiveness this year for my liking. Like Paul says, if this team is gonna be a top-flight team, difficult questions/conversations need to be had. By the way, where are all of the happy clappers pushing back on Eddie for roiling the waters of their tea party? Some of us are ready for this club to take the next step while it's surprising that some fans are perfectly content with simply plodding through the vast wasteland of mediocrity and dancing in the stands after the game as the team has gotten absolutely macerated. For those jaded folks, I would simply remind them that the PIF is exactly that - an investor. Mediocrity for investors is not an option.

I do not believe the manager. The players have no reason to have an attitude problem. They always say they are happy and satisfied with the club. I think they fail to deliver because of the setup they have and the inability of the manager to react in game. We usually play well at home and completely lose the plot away except in the champions league. The other reason of course is the manager picking Longstaff and other passengers non-stop and not trusting others to step up. Inevitable when things fall apart the entire team loses its head because there are not capable personnel to effect change. Bruno/Gordon/Isak can't do it alone. We are too reliant on individuals to rescue us.

Well questions should be asked of Eddie. His ‘tactical genius’ is just hoping Gordon or Isak do something. That’s it. If they click and score first it gives us confidence and usually at home we can see the game out. If that one tactic doesn’t work then we are fked

Regarding Tino, it's either a communication issue or negligence. Tino could have made progress from the injury before Spurs, enough to the point that the medical staff convinced Eddie to let him play (Negligence). Tino playing against Spurs could have resulted in him reaggravating the injury and setting him back. Eddie could have meant to say Tino reinjured the ankle during Spurs, rather than just saying his ankle is still a problem (communication).
I do have a lot of questions about our medical staff. And while I know Eddie is reliant on the opinion of professionals to give him the info he needs, I think the one poor thing Eddie has done this season is injury management. I.e. knowing when a player can and should come back. Again, I say that cautiously as I know he isn't a medical professional and he's basing his decision off the medical staff recommendations, but he needs to take some responsibility for it.

After last night's performance, something within the team/Eddie Howe/Jason Tindall isn't right and needs to be sorted. Eddie needs to stop messing around when it comes to injured players and realise that it's not Bournemouth 2.0 same mistakes are happening now as what went down at Bournemouth which got him and Tindall the sack !!

  • @martinheywood588
    @martinheywood588 Месяц назад

The issue is that several players played poorly + had the wrong attitude last night + sides are targeting our weaker players. If these players don’t turn up as they did last night then the better players are affected as well. In too many games we have had poor performances from squad players who have been targeted which has cost us points. To play against a system that Palace use needs intensity right across the team which we lacked last night. Miley actually improved during his spell in the team and was outperforming several of our midfielders in tackles blocks and aer duals per 90. He can develop and become more of a DM/6 who starts the attack from the back in the style of a Kimmich or Kroos as he has the techical ability to mop up in front of a back 3/4 being the base of a midfield 3/4 and create an attack. With the links to Palacios saying hes a Bruno replacement shows how much the press know. He is more of a 6 than Bruno and I think I mentioned him with Stiller at Stutggart as No 6 as who we should have been looking at instead of Phillips when we discussing on a review the links with Phillips. He is techical gifted though probably not as quite as good as Bruno with carries and taking people on and is a crucial cog in the Leverkusen system. Hes the player who sits in Leverkusens midfield and has the job of winning the ball back and has creativity once he gets the ball to set up Xhana to create something or do it himself . Would be a good signing not as a replacement but potentially as a 6 so we can do formation changes as he outperforms Bruno in defensive stats. Agree with you Paul with Livrameneto unless he had a reaction after playing against Spurs and if he did then why put him on the bench unless someone else in the side was carrying an injury Murphy?

  • @Sledgehuk

I think in fairness he has perhaps given them time, opportunities and this was one too many ... you would like to think people get time, opportunities, but then get questioned if they do this type of performance, a rocket up the arse ... I think as I said before EH clearly had a plan, had worked on it and it was not delivered ... in terms of injuries I think there is more than meets the eye on that saga, that might or might not come out down the line

Very poor performance last night. Yes players should be bollocked but to be honest I think Eddie got his tactics wrong.
