Honestly as a bracelet seller normally at craft fairs this machine seems extra worth it for me so I might actually be able to lower the price of my bracelets after a little bit of using this because last time
Edit: 8 months later I have bought the bracelet machine and it has been very very worth it thank you so much for showing this it’s saved my hands quite a bit.

I'm addicted to Nerdecrafter & Sika and I'm 40 😂😂 Their sibling relationship is fun to watch, it reminds me of my brothers & I. Its kinda wholesome but still has a little bit of an edge. They do make me laugh, Blessings from Scotland. 🙏🏴🌹
The aggressive Sika at the beginning made me smile in excitement for the craziness
my face hurts so much every time that sika is around because it's just that much more wholesome and hilariously chaotic. i also use the embroidery thread typically used for cross stitch works to make bracelets because the color variety is better for the projects i do. also listening to jackie speak japanese makes me all happy because i'm in the process of learning japanese, along with korean, gaelic and turkish at the moment, french, spanish, mandarin and thai will start soon once i get further along in the other languages.

Yeah, i was like...er...are you sure you want to do that? But then maybe it's coated plastic made to look metal (hopefully)?!
Metal allergies usually don’t cause an immediate anaphylactic response. I am allergic to nickle but I can wear something for a few days before I break out- it’s because they are coated with a protective covering but our sweat and body oils break it down- so the longer/more you wear it, the more exposure you get to the metals. A lot of people substitute with clear nail polish because it last longer and is easy to apply. My mother has to coat her glasses with it or she breaks out

When we ran out of thread I kept the bobbins that came with the machine and used cross-stitch thread and wound it onto the bobbins and continued using a machine!
Works as intended even using cross-stitch thread!

These kits kinda remind me of a project we did in one of my art classes, its called kumihimo weaving, you just need cardboard (for the loom) and some type of string and it was really fun so if you want a cheap alternative this is a suggestion

I got the KumiCreater 2 in 1 for my birthday once. It worked for me. It was also quite fun. I made around 5-8 bracelets & necklaces altogether.
I love friendship bracelets! I make my own all the time, except I don't have one of those fancy machines, I do all the knotting by hand. Makes my fingers hurt after a while, but it's worth it.
I do mine by hand also....

Thank you for testing if you can use your own string with those, I'm so glad it worked. Especially for people like me who get rashes from nylon or artificial fibers.

I've done all the designs and some more from both the OG KumiKreator and the 2-1 KumiKreator plus the different designs from the fashion packs. I have a ton of bracelets now XD, and yeah you can use either cotton yarn in size #8 or nylon thread/cord that's about 2mm thick, plus I've figured out how to do them on a regular Kumihimo foam wheel (the orientation its different from the KumiKreator so just copying the color orientation doesn't work for getting the same design when using the foam wheel), I could also use the KumiKreator with the friendship thread/embroidery floss to make the necklaces since both the nylon thread for the necklaces and the embroidery floss are the same thickness. For bracelets the thread should be cut at 22 3/4" inches in length and for necklaces around 40"~ inches or more (the black spools hold more thread for this reason, also the cord is thinner compared to the bracelet cord, about 1mm). Awesome vid and review! I'm so glad you reviewed this machine because I absolutely love it! Hope you have a great day!

You could absolutely get packs of craft cord at the dollar store or go for the big pack at michaels to get more string! These are really cute, and useful for those of us who have trouble with bracelets. I would recommend the craft cord over embroidery floss though

I'm a profession @ Kumihimo & I have the American version; it really cuts the weaving time in 1/2 for 4-12 strand braids.

I already have that machine and yes I’m commenting late, I was at work all day, I found the braclets to be really nice but I felt it didn’t stay tight enough, so I placed my hand to make the string/yarn tighter and follow it along while it was weaving, it actually came out a lot better, but I do make my own by hand..

There's a way of doing this with hand held bobbins and a loom as well, so you can just get threads / cords and make it as long as you want! It's honestly like a folding technique. It's really hard to explain, but dead simple to do once you've seen it done. You can even do it with beads, which I've done as well, and it makes for a gorgeous necklace! Even the queen of "I don't swing with string" would find it dead simple! ;)
