      This week on has convinced me not to get an air fryer even more. I was already skeptical since it's basically just a convection toaster oven, but seeing how much mess it was making in those liners and the fact that you'd have to not use the liners for it to work properly. Clean up would be a pain, would rather just clean a normal sheet or frying pan.

    Oh man, the liners... they are necessary for some things (definitely not for fatty things like bacon or pizza (those holes are there for a reason as you know by now :D)) but do try toast without a liner so you can leave it in without flipping it. have been doing toast in air fryer for years without flipping and it comes out perfect (i dont even know where my toaster is right now after the kitchen renovation). although one thing is you do need to write down timings or memorize them to make the best use of air fryer- put in and forget until the beep and in my experience fries from fresh potato are not great in air fryer. as a air fryer user for many years now i can give advice for people new to this. buy a decent one like mike has right away and dont bother with 35$ ones (they work well but after i got my more expensive one with 2 baskets it was a whole new world). air fryer is perfect for processed foods, like nuggets or pizza and such. precut parboiled frozen fries work ok too but i prefer deep fryer for those . also air fryer is great for warming food if you dont like the weird flavor that microwave adds. (i dont have a microwave as i hate that weird microwave flavor especially for meat products (for me i dont feel industrial microwaves giving much of that icky flavor but im not going to spend that much money on basically a popcorn machine) so air fryer is great for me to warm up food personally) overall week weak on but its your first time cooking with air fryer and i was glad to see the things you tried. you will learn a bunch of good stuff from comments and hope it makes your experience better in the future.

    "Let's put something that shouldn't go in an air fryer... pancakes!" Which I would agree if they were from scratch, but no... this is one of the more sensible things you put in it this week. Also... liners, stop. And it hurts so much to see you use buns and tortillas without heating them at all. Butter those buns and toast them and it'll elevate that burger 100%. Those tortillas need a good grill before using them, too, unless you're doing cold cuts or something. You also might want to eschew "fat git" from the ole lexicon, or at least say it slower and more pronounced. I did an absolute double take on that one.

I just stick anything in there making sure to turn it over several times and it cooks nicely. With potato dishes it helps to par boil them first - I use the microwave. I hope Mike and Grace keep using it as it is a very good device.

    A week on: Can it be air fryed? You’ve ruined the airfryer 😂

    clearly doesnt read comments, no chance he would have kept using liners if he did!

    This should have been called A Week On Chicken, never seen anybody eat so much chicken, you seemed to have it for half your meals.

    So I pretty much never pre-heat the oven, because like Mike most of my food is frozen crap. I put it straight in, and it usually doesn't take any longer to cook through. It just might not be as crispy, which doesn't bother me for most things.

    Another vote for a week on without the liners, so we can see how it really should be done lololololol

    Who would make an entire week's worth of videos, post them without seeing the comments, and so not adjust your behaviour? Oh yeah, someone with a giant ego.

      The point is to push the patreon (_"see the rest of the week right now"_) and also it's his journey, not ours. Although I wish he'd do a bonus 8th day where he would respond to comments & take the advice given.

    • @bobroberts9084
      @bobroberts9084 Год назад +4

      @@OSW from past week on's he has messed up. What he will most likely do is ignore the comments. Not post anything for a few weeks. Then come back with a random Infomercialism video. He certainly is stubborn.
      He could easily re-do this week, doing all the same food again but properly and compare the results to this week. Easy content his supporters would enjoy. I highly doubt he will though.

    Not interested in feedback. Airfryer users are very interested in temperatures, that is why they use instant read thermometers
