Yesssss. A guy approached me at the mall to say hey I wanna get to know you. I said no I'm not interested and walked away. He followed me and asked me WHY I rejected him 🤦♀️
@@ChrisLaBenne I noticed she usually begs to repeat funny moments (Like the Tetris dance) but they tend to ignore her. So glad they indulged her this time!
i really love the blanket story because op's husband didn't just leave her to stew in suspicion by suddenly becoming super secretive. he communicated that he wanted alone time, rather than just leaving her alone to take care of the baby without warning, not to mention that he was in their son's room, so he was also actively doing his job as a parent while doing something nice for his wife and presumably giving her a break. he sounds like a wonderful partner.
“Wheres your ring?” The gym is one of the places where it legitimately makes sense to take off a wedding ring. I work in a machine shop and couldnt wear it there, and honestly wouldnt wear jewelry in a gym either because of the injury risk, its far too easy for it to possible be crushed or caught on something.
My dad basically never wore or wears his wedding ring. My parents have been married for almost 40 years. Dad did a trademan job so wearing a wedding ring was just asking to lose a finger. Mum couldnt wear hers at work either but would the rest of the time. I asked my mum why dad didnt wear his ring when i was like 10 and i cant remember why he doesnt (I think it was just a comfort thing or he was worried hed lose it cause he would have to take it off all the time cause of work and his hobbies and everything), but when i asked if it bothered her she said 'look, no ones gonna be looking at your father even without a ring on, im fine if he doesnt wear it' and honestly, savage mum.
Absolutely, if you lift heavy and especially with metal bars it might also just be very uncomfortable and/or damage the ring. I take all of my rings off for gym, engagement included and it's not any deeper than that.
That husband making a blanket for his wife is so darn sweet. I run into so many men in the craft store buying yarn for themselves to knit or crochet; they always seem to be buff, bald, gym-rat looking dudes too! 😂 Never judge a book by its cover (Angela 😂😂😂)
No really though! I work in a children's behavioral health ward and I often teach the kids how to crochet- The kids that are CONSISTENTLY the ones who take to it the most and end up keeping at it long after the activity's finished are 9-11 year old boys with severe sensory/hyperactivity issues. I think it's because it's a calming and repetitive activity similar to stimming :) Anyways love to see dudes get into yarn crafts, it's such a good outlet
Me, a pleb, in 2017: “Smosh is doing variety content now? That’s a bummer.” Me, an intellectual, in 2024: “Ugliness isn’t good for all the time. But you aren’t ugly all the time either. You are … VARIETY.”
Thats very good advice from Shayne that “if you don’t have things set to private online you are in the entertainment industry” I think that’s an important frame of mind to keep when you do things online.
@cannologoat thank you. Usually I don't turn them on because they don't work well, or if I go back a few seconds, they won't play the words. So, I'll try it now that I know they do their own.
The knitted blanket story was literally the best of reddit updates. There are still lovely stories and lovely people and real love out there and that made me unreasonably happy.
Sorry for the wait guys. I was hit by a city bus and died twice and was in a ten year coma. But I'm back now and will be updating my Snarry fic regularly again.
lol not me being the author that does this kinda crapppp!!!! “Sorry, guys! Life got in the way! Whoops! lol! I moved to another state, had two babies, raised them, sent them off to college, but now I’m back!” Proceeds to post one more chapter before ghosting for 30 more years. 😂😅
True story: My Dad left my Mom for his old high school crush. She was the head cheerleader who wouldn't go out with him because he was the son of the town drunk. Twenty years later he was doing well for himself and she was sitting on the shelf not getting any younger, so she looked him up. When he dragged his heels over leaving his wife, she started stalking him, following us on family outings (she's the reason we had to leave Disney World early). Eventually he left, they got married, and we never heard from him again. We did hear through the grapevine that their marriage didn't last, and he's had two other wives since then. I've run into her a few times but she didn't recognize me all grown up. Thanks for listening; it felt good to get that out.
I'm sorry you had to live through that. I'm not sorry that it didn't last, and I hope your father regrets his decision at least monthly 😂 leaving your family for a frivolous crush is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.
That gym man totally knew how things get misinterpreted and that’s why he was like, “No.” He knew that his intentions weren’t any concern, but too many people misinterpret ONE THING and it literally ruins people’s lives. How many people get fired from 1 viral post is crazy!
She was also looking for that exact scenario, it's painfully obvious. "Oh my totally normal outfit is causing you to body shame me and sexualize me," just screams, "I'm not seeking attention, you're a pig!"
You have the right to say no to being recorded! She was the AO because she was insisting and all she had to do wait for a trainer. She crossed boundaries.
And the exact thing he was afraid of, getting filmed and having it presented in an inappropriate way online, is exactly what she had already been doing. His warning sirens were going off, he just didn't know what to do with them
19:10 he obviously isn't ready to settle if he still has the mindset of "I'm going to miss my chance". If you're marrying the right one then you wouldn't rethink it.
@@chlorox01 in fact you can get in trouble for even ACCIDENTALLY killing one, or taking an eagle feather that's just SITTING ON THE GROUND 😭 shit's wild

Ngl the wife's attitude in the last story kinda rubs me the wrong way. Like, her husband is expressing discomfort at this other girl's behavior towards him and she's just like "You have to keep it going it's SO funny," like her entertainment is more important than his boundaries.
Also she's overlooking how dangerous these false narratives could get. Yes his face is blurred out but the girl's isn't & you never know who might recognise them & dox him and then he becomes the bad guy. If the roles were reversed, the wife expressed concern & the husband brushed her off& turned it into a joke and encouraged hew to engage further everyone would instantly realise how awful the situation is.
Yeah exactly. Plus I did not like that she is approving of that type of behavior. The girl is 22, not 10. She should not be making up LIES about anyone. Not everyone's partners or family would think that's funny and instantly know it's lie.
Yes! I was looking for this comment. He is pretty unconfortable and weirded out by this and she doesn't give a shit, how cruel. As for Hailey...girl you are big enough to be doing this. You want to create a false narrative for content? Okey, but don't record people....
The only time I’ve heard of an appropriate situation about waking up a partner regarding food was a guy finished smoking ribs in the middle of the night, so he woke her up so they could eat fresh ribs together in bed
I audibly gasped when shayne dropped that the book was "a spell for chameleon". I read that book when I was 9 and remember feeling absolutely horrified when the main character describes groping centaur breasts.
describes w h a t 💀i'm equal parts extremely intrigued and incredibly mortified at how bad this book sounds, someone should do a dramatic reading like the my immortal ones years ago
Shayne is right for the second story. If that dude truly loved his fiancée, he wouldn’t have even let this situation with his crush get to that point. But since he did, he should choose her & let that poor fiancée find someone who truly loves & values her.
Yess I will always stand on the fact of my partner is questioning to choose me or someone else. Choose the other person because it shouldn’t be a question.
By asking this question, he already answered it himself. His heart isn't in this relationship and his fiance definitely deserves better. So by breaking up and going for the bartender, he's doing everyone a favour
One of the first lessons I had to teach my daughter when she was first getting into social media was that anything you post is not like writing in a diary, it is like taking out a billboard for the world to see.
You are allowed to be uncomfortable with close contact because of someone's outfit. That doesn't always mean the other person's wearing something inappropriate. For example, if on the beach an aspiring surfer asked me to, idk... help them with practicing pop-ups, I would decline. I'm not comfortable with possibly having to touch them to correct their posture while we're both in swimsuits. Not sure if that example makes sense bc I know nothing about surfing but you get my point.
No you're so right. One person's discomfort doesn't inherently mean the other person is doing something bad or wrong. It just means that situation isn't going to work for them, and that's okay!
I think the other thing to keep in mind is in the context of the story, it was stated he didn't actually bring up her outfit to her. The way it was read, it sounded like it was just something he was thinking but had kept to himself. Which to your point, I think is totally a valid feeling for OP/an okay way to approach it. It's not like he was telling her what she should or shouldn't wear, but was just uncomfortable.
I'm uncomfortable just making contact with someone in a basic tank top. Doesn't mean they're wearing something inappropriate, I just have specific boundaries. You are allowed to be uncomfortable in that way.
it’s like telling someone they can’t be uncomfortable with someone’s fully wool outfit if they have a wool allergy. boundaries are healthy and do not have to be justified. you summed it up perfectly 🫡
What that Tiktok gym girl was doing is creepy and should be taken way more seriously. I get that she didn't have any ill intentions, but if the situation had been different and she had done this to someone else, she could've destroyed their life. And from the sounds of it, she didn't actually learn her lesson because she implied she was going to find another "gym crush" to sexually harass. It's really shameful how the people surrounding OOP enabled this behavior for their amusement, especially OOP's wife who didn't seem to care how uncomfortable he felt. The fact that OOP's wife told him to apologize to the woman sexually harassing him is wild.
Yeah, I'm really confused? Can't tell if I missed something but like.. bro. I would be SO fucking disgusted if someone was secretly making tiktoks of me and talking about how I was flirting with them. Like, they're allowed to love whoever you want, but if you're friends with them, you gotta disclose you have feelings TO them, so that they can decide for themself whether they're comfortable being friends with you at this time. I just feel so icky because there's so many instances on reddit of people not just gushing about their crush but doing some REALLY unorthodox stuff. Like the journal. Idk, I'ma leave it there, but jesus. I have no clue why anyone was brushing over this. The amount of people that lie and say about people making advances, or interpreting kindness and flirtation is insane. Just because OP is a dude, doesn't mean that it's not creepy to sexualise him. Regardless of gender, saying no to being recorded is okay, and it shouldn't be questioned.
This was my take, too. It felt really gross that the wife was not only downplaying OOP's discomfort, but actually enabling it further. I wish OOP would have just asked her to stop and, if she didn't, to then report her to the gym staff.
I think as Shayne said, this is a great role reversal test. If the genders were reversed this could have been a massive issue. I would've feared for OOP's safety if they were a woman both because of the stalker and because of how the wife (but in role reversal husband) would react. I'm glad that everyone could laugh it off, but OOP was really misled by his wife into keeping it up. He should've told Haley immediately that he new, why it was inappropriate and if they wanted to agree to keep making the videos together that is another story. He's so lucky his wife found it funny and didn't see it as proof of an affair.
@@cutegixie Yeah, he's "lucky she thought it was funny and didn't see it as proof of an affair". But he's also got the misfortune of having a wife that enables others to sexualise him without permission/ notifying him, and doesn't validate him when he's uncomfortable with someone's actions. "Oh, you're uncomfortable? Oh well, I think it's funny. Stop complaining" and then because of that invalidation, he goes to reddit, and then it blows way outta proportion. And then she blames him for not knowing that reddit stories end up on tiktok (or youtube). And she also tells their friends about it and, I assume with how she is, she probably explained it in a way that sounds funny, so the friends also take that energy and make it into a joke. It's just sad, really, that no one in his circle actually respects him or his feelings. And they seem to have a stable marriage, so the guy's probably gonna spend the rest of his lifetime with a woman who just doesn't respect that he can be upset/hurt about someone's actions.
The gym story- is this sad to anybody else? This man’s privacy and feelings are being completely disregarded. The crazy gym girl posting him without his permission and making up stories then his wife ignoring that he didn’t want it to continue. If it was a young girl being recorded by a man it would be completely different and the internet would be up in arms instead of laughing. It’s wrong for both genders and I feel so bad for OP. He just didn’t want to be recorded and wanted to the girl to stop. Why can’t his wife understand this? She only cares about drama and going viral. The whole thing is icky, especially the wife trying to make OP apologize to the girl when both women were in the wrong. This poor man got gaslighted by everyone.
Definitely as the story went on I just felt more for op. He didn’t ask to be in this position and when he finally opens up about being uncomfortable he’s laughed at and told to keep going along with it for entertainment. It’s just sad
He straight up was being s*ually harassed and his wife told him to let it continue. Then all their friends acted out the scenario gym girl had planned to not only experience but film and broadcast. They're lucky her intentions weren't even worse and she didn't try to make him look creepy. People have gotten doxxed and attacked over lies like these. And imagine if he actually shared that he felt harassed. Would anybody in his life or Hailey's comments taken him seriously?
This is insane 1:05:19 The wife is encouraging her inappropriate behaviour. She hasn’t been this happy since their wedding!! Jfc. And she says he needs to apologize. I hope there is another update with a divorce. I feel bad for the guy. Imagine going to your spouse to talk about something that is making you uncomfortable and they just laugh and encourage it.
I’d love an episode that is just updates on previously read stories. Might be tough to find stories that were told before AND have updates but if there were ever enough to form a full episode, I’d love to see them featured.
I was just thinking about this! It'd be fun if they had a larger cast day and they brought a bunch of the duos on that had the original stories! Maybe they could do this for an anniversary Reddit. Like one of the big number ones.
@@jeremytorres1071 I would love them doing an annual catchup episode like that. Bigger cast, updates plus clarifying some opinions they might have changed since filming
@@indigocrayon520 that usually only happens if the update happens before the video comes out but was not covered in the video, if an update comes out months after the video there won't be enough people commenting on it to push it to the top.
I would love for y’all to do a mystery theme-like, the guests do NOT know the theme and they have to find the commonality between the stories and GUESS the theme at the end!
No!! The gym girl SHE MADE IT WEIRD! No means no! Including 40+ year old men who have boundaries. For whatever reason. She was pushing him to do something he was not compterfull (grammar sorry) with. That’s not ok to push someone
Another tip: If you activate your Siri (or Android equivalent) and say the word out loud, it will show you how to spell that word. You don’t wanna know how many times I’ve held down the power button on my phone and said “dependency” or “associate” 🙂↕️
Kinda wild that most people have generally accepted that studying just to pass a test doesn't actually educate you on a subject, and yet here we are thinking testing a relationship is the best way to see if it's worthwhile.
Gym story: He is absolutely within his rights to refuse to be recorded. She is a complete stranger. And he does not know what she will do with the video. Once she has the footage, he has no control how someone could edit it or make it look. And she is wrong and weird for pressuring him. The only acceptable reaction of her would have been to say:"Thats completely fine. I wont record it then", or get someone else to help her. And the way she reacted along with what was said about both of their appearances makes me think she absolutle wanted to post this somewhere, maybe insinuating that she is so attractive, that good looking guys like to get close to her.
Seriously, his wife is in the wrong, too. I would have starting going to the gym with my husband, not to confront the girl, but just to be present. 🤷♀️ That's such a weird and inappropriate dynamic.
For real! Also her claiming he wouldn't react the same with a guy.. I think he wouldn't want to be recorded spotting a guy in a tight tank and shorts that was half his age for all the same reasons 💀
The idea of anyone thinking they have a right to record anyone is terrifying to me. I have abusive parents who stalk me. I've had to legally change my name, have alternate media accounts, asked the place I live not to give out my information to anyone who might ring, asked my choir to cut me out of all public social media accounts and my name out of all posters and stuff. It would literally put my life in danger if some idiot recorded me and uploaded it publicly.
@@WookieWomanShe is! I personally also would not get mad at my husband but would be annoyed at how his boundaries were being crossed so I probably go with him so that the other woman starts to see my husband as more than just TikTok material and/or tell my husband that if he isn't being respected, he might have to consider going to another gym.
As an autistic person the idea of friendship/loyalty tests are my literal nightmare. Like I struggle with reading social cues/reading when people are being serious/joking so that to be the test is a nightmare (I’m mostly talking about the previous friend wedding story)
there’s a girl called Hailey on tiktok who did a couple videos posting updates about her “gym crush”, and she was harrased in the comments by thousands of people calling her a liar and telling her to leave that married man alone- She claims that it wasn’t her and it’s an entirely different woman. So basically a bunch of people jumped onto tiktok after that reddit post and looked up the name hailey and gym crush and harassed a poor random woman over this story.
@WookieWoman I don't think it's that. I've seen some TikToks that get put into "watching tiktoks about X" type videos that are literally just people doing GRWMs or just telling a reddit story without any credit to the original poster or mentioning that it's a reddit story. And yeah, when someone is just reading someone else's story in a way that makes it look like they're just recounting something that happened to them, with no mention that its someone else's story, of course people will think it's their story and pop off accordingly.
I mean, that's kinda Reddit's thing at this point. Remember after the Boston Marathon Bombing when Reddit went on a manhunt and ended up accusing and harassing some random guy? That was the least surprising part of the story to me honestly
To be fair, if she was posting the man online, like taking videos and all that, that’s a crime in my country. You can’t actually do that without permission from the person
I love to have Smosh Reddit Stories playing while I’m cleaning or doing things around the house, as I don’t have to watch constantly and can just listen. But when Angela is on, I feel like I NEED to watch and not just listen because her facial expressions are everything!
59:45 she's definitely using him to get views/followers. But it's not okay. His wife knows and trusts him which is great but it's inappropriate since she knows he's married.
The way the fiancé is torn between someone he liked when he was a literal CHILD and his loving partner who is a nurse and going to get her DOCTORATE in nursing (so she is likely smart, compassionate and caring) is WILD.
Honestly though, that story had the best possible ending, cause I agree with the Smosh team, he was gonna cheat on her regardless because he was settling for Sarah. So glad he showed his true colors before they got married and God forbid, had a child.
1:03:49 this whole span of “she’s just childish because she’s a child” when she’s a fully grown adult woman who is quite literally exhibiting stalker behavior is crazy to me
the wife was obviously just getting off on the whole thing. super weird behavior. she knew it was creepy but loved the fact that the internet loved her husband and her by proxy. and gloating about it to her friends….she was LIVING for this form of validation
@@kylebusc3624it’s more modern means of communication. To say “not” is sorta like saying “there’s no way” or “I can’t believe”. So the comment is saying in a sense “there’s no way that he was being harassed and his wife was laughing”
The "loyalty test" guy totally made that up. He was actually mad she dumped him and wanted to make it her fault. So he made up the "loyalty test" to try and make her feel bad. Like, "You failed the test. You're disloyal and selfish."
No I believe it the guy was in a stressful moment in life and could’ve gained insecurities in his relationship. it’s been so common for girlfriends to do all those types of stupid tests and posting the videos on the internet. Atleast he didn’t do that 🤷♂️
So I had to go back and make sure but he specifically said he DID NOT tell the gym girl that it was about what she was wearing (44:40). The only reason he gave her was that his wife might see and misinterpret. Angela mentioned she wished he kept that to himself and he actually did. So he’s definitely not the asshole here. Like I can understand the girl assuming he’s sexualizing her and I guess he is indirectly, but the only thing he’s worried about is his wife and her feelings. And he told her as much
Yeah that’s where I got confused as well because he never said that. I feel Angela doesn’t really have that many good takes anyway and makes assumptions way too much and blames the victim in many Reddit stories
I was literally talking to the screen like they could hear me, saying "he DIDNT mention her outfit TO HER!" Lol, I'm glad I'm not the only one that caught this...
No, I disagree. He is an Ahole. Why would you deny help to a young woman? Just because a man don't want to get filmed, what bs of an excuse it is! You are in a gym, there are security cameras everywhere. That man is sexualizing a young woman and I'm glad Hailey questioned him. A man should always help a woman no matter what.
46:52 The specifics mentioned were for the post, he didn’t say that he mentioned what she was wearing to her at all, just that he said he was uncomfortable being recorded.
Yikes the last story is really uncomfortable- mostly the wife’s reaction. Also she blamed him for causing Haley stress? That was Haley’s fault for doing it in the first place, but it’s his fault for wanting to vent when the wife clearly didn’t take his story seriously?
I would argue that the wife pushing op to play along contributed to Hailey’s videos as well. And then she grinned when she showed op the resulting mess. I get serious mean girl vibes from this woman. It kinda reads like it’s feeding her ego that her husband is “choosing her” over this attractive young woman who seems pretty into him. It comes off as weirdly objectifying to me.
the SECOND i saw mac on tntl i knew he had to be in this weeks reddit stories!! also im so happy we got mac and ang on an episode together. the reactions are about to be insane!
Y'all should cover r/LetsNotMeet for the spooky season. It's a subreddit to read "spine-tingling, unusual, terrifyingly true stories about people you never want to meet again."
47:27 I was under the impression by his wording that her clothing choice was something he kept to himself and didn't share with her but was a reason he silently didn't want to be in that position.
@@amberchristmas979 Your comment is a little unclear. But I'll just say that there have been a LOT of reddit posts with unreliable narrators (OPs) since they started doing these videos and there is nothing about this post to indicate he is one of them. If anything, the fact it's made the rounds through reddit and tiktok already-- to the point the original Hailey's content was found-- means it would be even harder for him to withhold information.
The one about the book between the 37yo and the 25yo... the man said he read it more than a decade ago, meaning he was in his 20s when he read the book and still loved it! So that means his views about women must have matched (at that time in the least)!
I disagree with that, it doesn’t mean your views HAVE to match. Though this guy might’ve. In the case of my partner, he read the books when he was a kid, loves them and knows how bad they are and talks about how ridiculous they are with enjoyment. It’s a dated book and definitely unserious due to the fact that the map of the world is literally Florida 😂 it’s ridiculous
@@jo4489 Again, not saying that guy in this story in specific didn’t like it because he related to it since that would be a red flag, but I’m just talking about the sentence itself of someone liking something and not having to relate to it. Everyone has different reasons as to why they like something. I think it’s important to know why because of that.
@terra_the_nightingale135 that is the point though, he was an adult when he read it. Like if you like a book a lot at least in the moment of reading you feel those comments fit in the story. At that moment he was like yeah I can read about a character like this. Although if it was a decade ago and this post was drom 2016 that means it was 2006 where these thoughts were still prevalent... but still just something about someone reading those books as an adult and not being like "wtf, no!?" And not putting it away, gives me the ick.
The gym story was f'd up :/ It's awful that his concerns and discomfort were not taken seriously. They're lucky she was "just doing it for content" (which is still an insane reason) and wasn't legitimately a delusional stalker. I would be so freaked out if I found videos of someone spinning false narratives about me and recording me. This type of behavior should not be normalized, it's weird and messed up.
49:40 that was the best way to put it. Super neutral, super clear what the issue is, without blame on the person asking the favour. Just descriptive of the actual source of hesitation/anxiety/fear/insecurity. You'd have to be understanding then. But hey... that's the power of hindsight and multiple perspectives. Edit (lol): i was not expecting the update to go that way loooooool
Poor dude in the last story, his wife sounds inconsiderate. After your husband tells you he feels uncomfortable, you're just telling him to play along and that it's just "funny"? Like damn if it were me, I wouldn't wanna tell her anything after this💀
In the Haley story, the wife was a major meanie. You want your husband to continue inappropriate interaction with a younger girl just so you can watch a drama for your own amusement? It's disrespectful for both the husband and gym crush girlie! Where are their integrity and boundaries in your "drama"?
I feel like the wife would also get mad if he was really comfortable with it and played into it. He can't really win with her regardless of how he reacts to such a weirdo.
20:08 I felt this in my SOUL!!! I was so close to saying stfu out loud until Angela said it for me. Guys like this irks my very soul & being. You needed help to realize you love the person YOU CHOSE TO PROPOSE!!!! when someone you infatuated over rejects you?! You weren't ready for a serious relationship & marriage. Stay single & marinate in that feeling 🙄
1:03:23 For the last story, I find his wife very weird in my opinion. Imagine if your partner came to you talking about how someone was recording you without your permission and making up fake stories about you on the internet. Why is your first reaction to find this so funny, and not supporting your partner at all for being uncomfortable. His wife acted like him being uncomfortable was a good reality tv show to her. The woman at the gym and his wife were both in the wrong. Honestly, if my husband was so okay with this happening to me, I would definitely second-guess some things about us. That's just how I would feel, though
i DEFINITELY agree. if the genders were swapped, there wouldn’t have been so many people cheering op’s wife on and encouraging op to step outside of his boundaries just so other people could find his discomfort “funny.”
The wife is in the wrong how? WHY SHOULDNT SHE THINK ITS FUNNY. You live and learn and once you do you become the wife who can laugh at it. HE WAS ABLE TO LAUGH ABOUT IT WITH HAILEY AT THE END OF THE STORY. Why is it so crazy that his mature wife saw it for what it was because they both did. Your last comment sounds like an insecurity.
I think we kind of glossed over how people are considering the 22 year old Haley to be a child. They are 22 years old. They should have been confronted immediately with that information. There was some bad takes all around. It doesn't matter gender or age, if a stranger says No to you, you don't get to ask for justification. Just because you aren't fully matured, you are still an adult and the wife needs to hold that behavior accountable. It's incredibly creepy to just film people without their knowledge.
Exactly. I'm 23 and I feel like our generation has more awareness on how to navigate on the internet and what's ok or not and that its not okay to involve a random person in ur content. 22 is an adult technically even if they r a child in the eyes of a 30 yr old
@@cameron5802 yeah. I get why a 40+ year old might consider someone THAT MUCH younger than them a child by comparison, but they're still very much an adult, and they need to be held to that higher standard. Like, we all do stupid things in our 20s, but we're still accountable to them, and being HELD accountable is the only way anyone ever learns better.
for the gym guy, at the end of the day, he never actually shamed the girl for what she was wearing. he didn't tell her to put on more clothes, he didn't even say he wouldn't help her, he just didn't want to be recorded. he had every right to be cautious with how things can be viewed without proper context, which is clearly his worry with how he also brought up the possibility of her recording their conversation. the internet is insane and however you feel or not, they're gonna think what they want to think and it's not bad, nor is it something to feel offended by that he doesn't want to become the subject of the internet's ire. (especially being an older married man. idk if he's working but it could also affect his working life just as much as his social life.) defo not the asshole. the girl has a good mind for herself ofc to not care about what she's wearing but what she thinks VS what the internet sees is still something to keep in mind when including others in your content.
if you’re so easily tempted to enter a new relationship WHILE you’re engaged, you were never truly in love w them to begin with. You’re just looking for an excuse at that point to break it off because you’re too nervous to just tell your partner you’re not ready.
47:21 so i'm not done listening to this story yet, but on the initial take, he specifically said he DIDN'T bring up what she was wearing; it was a reason he had, but one he said he did not bring up to her for the fact that he didn't want her thinking that was the issue.
I swear they're constantly just hearing whatever they want to hear instead of listening to what's being read. This happens over and over again in pretty much every episode.
@@joon0 honestly sometimes they all do that, i find on this show shayne's pretty good at picking up on that stuff and double-checking the post, but this is definitely a huuuuuge thing with angela. Like i pray that angela's regular life isn't as bad as it would seem in front of the camera, the amount of times she makes mistakes like that would make it so much harder to go through the responsible side of life.
Funny how You people keep clinging on moment when they misheard the story .. because their take was pretty much tik tok girl was wrong anyways. Does it matter if they misunderstood a little when they clearly side with the guy?
@@gonzaloegonzalez8106 i did say i hadn't finished listening to the story, i commented as I heard that part of the conversation. That said, the entire point of Angela bringing up the part about the clothing was specifically because she was trying to rationalize why this girl would have been upset and how she thought it was wrong of him to make that comment to her and bring her body into the conversation, because she was deciding if she should place any blame on the guy. If you're trying to accuse somebody of doing something wrong it's pretty important to know what it is that you're accusing him of doing wrong since he didn't do what she said he did, he did the opposite because he didn't want to make that comment about her body and outfit.
47:05 - With all due respect, the guy said he just didn't want to be recorded and sure, maybe the outfit was a contributing factor (which we can call out for) but from what I gathered, he would have said no to even another guy if the guy wanted it to be recorded. He didn't sound like he told her it was because her outfit.
Story 3:The book was published in 1977, plot summery:In this adventure, Bink is exiled to Mundania because he has (inadvertently) broken Xanth law by not having a magical talent. He returns to Xanth with Chameleon, a woman whose intelligence and beauty vary inversely depending on the time of the month, and the evil magician Trent, who was exiled 20 years earlier for attempting to usurp the throne of Xanth. @@soup4720 I agree. While I don’t think she is the asshole she is in the wrong. She was just trying to have fun and didn’t see the major issue in Hailey’s behaviour and it probably made OP uncomfortable. If the roles were reversed, those tik tok comments would definitely not be supporting her.

i really love the blanket story because op's husband didn't just leave her to stew in suspicion by suddenly becoming super secretive. he communicated that he wanted alone time, rather than just leaving her alone to take care of the baby without warning, not to mention that he was in their son's room, so he was also actively doing his job as a parent while doing something nice for his wife and presumably giving her a break. he sounds like a wonderful partner.

Dude, I'm taking notes for whenever I'm married and become a dad.
You're so right, now the story seems even cuter
“Wheres your ring?” The gym is one of the places where it legitimately makes sense to take off a wedding ring. I work in a machine shop and couldnt wear it there, and honestly wouldnt wear jewelry in a gym either because of the injury risk, its far too easy for it to possible be crushed or caught on something.
Not to mention it'd be so uncomfortable. Like there are brands out there that make stand-in wedding rings purely for gyms.
I bought a ring years ago, and it kept grinding against the bar whenever I'd grip it. I didn't want to damage it so I just don't wear it at the gym
As a jeweller I support this message. Do NOT wear your rings in the gym please and thank you 🙏

Ngl the wife's attitude in the last story kinda rubs me the wrong way. Like, her husband is expressing discomfort at this other girl's behavior towards him and she's just like "You have to keep it going it's SO funny," like her entertainment is more important than his boundaries.
I agree with that. Hopefully it was just summarised oddly by him and not as it sounded

100%. Not sure why the cast was too afraid to bring this up
it’s like telling someone they can’t be uncomfortable with someone’s fully wool outfit if they have a wool allergy. boundaries are healthy and do not have to be justified. you summed it up perfectly 🫡
1:08:15 this is why I love Shayne. His self awareness and awareness of other walks of life is relieving to see
What that Tiktok gym girl was doing is creepy and should be taken way more seriously.
Also, Haley is not a kid!! She’s 22. Yes, she’s young; but old enough to know better.
His wife comes across as just as immature and insensitive as the gym girl
He is not an asshole.
Yeah, when the wife told him he needed to apologize to the gym girl...so not cool. Definite ick.

Harassment is uncalled for. At the same time, we are all too comfortable over sharing on public platforms. It's weird.
The fact that Hailey was probably a fake name too 😭
I mean, that's kinda Reddit's thing at this point.
"8 years later..."it's Joe Rogan" I screamed.

I love to have Smosh Reddit Stories playing while I’m cleaning or doing things around the house, as I don’t have to watch constantly and can just listen. But when Angela is on, I feel like I NEED to watch and not just listen because her facial expressions are everything!
“Unconditional love” even if my 13-year-old woke up at 1 o’clock saying he’s hungry I’m going to tell him to go in the kitchen and figure it out!😂
Haha right even parents would tell their kid to go back to sleep or get a snack from the pantry.
Yes Mama!! Mine is 14 & he already knows what I'd say lol I love him more than anything, but that doesn't mean I'm his servant around the clock
I think the only age you can get away with waking someone up for food is baby and maybe toddler XD
This is when i would roll over and just say "you were adopted." And go back to sleep
But what if your 13 year old saw it on tiktok? /s
12:49 "let me find the answer" 😂😂😂😂 Mac's reaction to that 2nd story was perfect cuz that was Left Field
59:45 she's definitely using him to get views/followers. But it's not okay. His wife knows and trusts him which is great but it's inappropriate since she knows he's married.
"We know who your wife is." Along with the look and the silent threat in her look cracked me up. I can 100% relate.
I’ve heard the blanket story and update before, and it still makes me want to cry 🥹
about the last one... not him getting harrassed and his wife laughing it off 💀💀💀 older people really don't understand how creepy this situation is.
I'm the same age as the guy and it seemed pretty fuckin clear to me!
Oh God that means I'm old instantly I crumble to dust
1:03:49 this whole span of “she’s just childish because she’s a child” when she’s a fully grown adult woman who is quite literally exhibiting stalker behavior is crazy to me
the wife was obviously just getting off on the whole thing. super weird behavior. she knew it was creepy but loved the fact that the internet loved her husband and her by proxy. and gloating about it to her friends….she was LIVING for this form of validation
What does "not him getting harassed and his wife laughing it off" mean? I can't understand how that is supposed to make sense as a sentence
@@kylebusc3624it’s more modern means of communication. To say “not” is sorta like saying “there’s no way” or “I can’t believe”. So the comment is saying in a sense “there’s no way that he was being harassed and his wife was laughing”
The husband knitting story warms my heart. He is so sweet❤😊
warms his hands and her body
40:05 “what if he died” i wheezed SO hard i started choking ohmygod im. crying
Yeah sometimes they miss a very clearly mentioned part in the stories. It's unfortunate. I hope in future the crew corrects them.
@@ashleylobo7090Can't tell if your joking, if you aren't you're being kinda sexist
The story about the husband making a blanket for his wife was adorable 🥺💜 My heart!
46:52 The specifics mentioned were for the post, he didn’t say that he mentioned what she was wearing to her at all, just that he said he was uncomfortable being recorded.
Exactly I think someone should correct them behind the scenes
@@himawariuzumaki5259for real they can interrupt sketches with an obnoxious “yayYyyYy” but cant say “hey guys he didnt say that”
Yikes the last story is really uncomfortable- mostly the wife’s reaction.
Angela’s talking during the gym one was so good, she’s so smart and can clearly be serious and speak her mind I respect her

@@terra_the_nightingale135he never mentioned anything about liking it because it was “ridiculous”. he just stated that he liked it…still weird😬
that’s what i was thinking! he read it in his 20s and still liked it??🚩
@@jo4489 Again, not saying that guy in this story in specific didn’t like it because he related to it since that would be a red flag, but I’m just talking about the sentence itself of someone liking something and not having to relate to it.
12:00 the way her face drops IMMEDIATELY after she finished her sentence, never change Angela, never change
Angela posing to Shayne reading misogynist fiction is EXCELLENT
My Roman Empire
20:08
I felt this in my SOUL!!!
The dynamic of Mac with Smosh Cast is always so impeccable.
No I totally agree! I know I'd be uncomfortable, especially with the wife's behavior.
i DEFINITELY agree. if the genders were swapped, there wouldn’t have been so many people cheering op’s wife on and encouraging op to step outside of his boundaries just so other people could find his discomfort “funny.”
Totally! And the fact they’re saying the gym girl is a CHILD lol she’s 22 lol she’s not a kid anymore 😅
Thank you for this comment. Idk how so few people saw how awful the wife was.
The blanket story was one of the most wholesome things I’ve ever heard 🥰❤️
1:03:45 apologize to her for all the stress? Guy is the most unwilling participant in these interactions.
Agreed but I can see how as an adult who unknowingly added to it (with the reddit posts), you'd feel a bit unintentionally responsible.
@@hernameispekka_Rebecca fair point, I'd feel guilty just being a part of this
I was literally just thinking that.
Mac and Angela is such a chaotic combo and I love them both so much😭
for the gym guy, at the end of the day, he never actually shamed the girl for what she was wearing. he didn't tell her to put on more clothes, he didn't even say he wouldn't help her, he just didn't want to be recorded.
he had every right to be cautious with how things can be viewed without proper context, which is clearly his worry with how he also brought up the possibility of her recording their conversation.
the internet is insane and however you feel or not, they're gonna think what they want to think and it's not bad, nor is it something to feel offended by that he doesn't want to become the subject of the internet's ire. (especially being an older married man. idk if he's working but it could also affect his working life just as much as his social life.)
defo not the asshole. the girl has a good mind for herself ofc to not care about what she's wearing but what she thinks VS what the internet sees is still something to keep in mind when including others in your content.

Can't stop replaying Angela saying "We know who your wife is" like _that_ 😂😂😂
if you’re so easily tempted to enter a new relationship WHILE you’re engaged, you were never truly in love w them to begin with.
In my gym, there's no filming policy and no provoking clothes policy. To avoid bs like this.
The fact that no one cackled at Angela's Bobby flay joke is criminal. I laughed for way too long
