The name of this dance is "Zeybek" and it belongs to the Aegean region of Turkey.
This dance is the dance of the local warriors, which was reserved for the Turkish army during the first world war years and generally found in the Aegean Region.
It represents heroism, nobility and force.Some types tell about Love.
This dance has its own manners, it means nothing if you can't reflect that.
I'm a folkdancer and we usually play on stage in costumes that represent this.Every part of the costume has a meaning.
The instruments and melodies we use in our music are generally harsh. However, nowadays, since it has been modernized, we can perform with many different instruments. Basic instruments are called drum, zurna, clarinet, saz and baglama.

Turkey has 7 area and each area and each city in the areas have their own wedding celebration music sound and dance figures. This dance and music belong to the west of the Turkey called Ege. For example I'm from Trakya and our rhythm 9-8 and faster than that and not slowly as much as that.

Hi buddy. Turkey has many different region ad its dance. This dance is comin from west side of country and common name is Zeybek. Briefly shows bravery of the rebel's who are escaped to the mountaines from the unlawful application of the state in the history. Warior dancer is copying the Eagles figures and turning around the girl-sweet heart. By some figures the warrior is showing his guns, pistols, sword etc.. But most hard figure is hit the knee to ground. Should be fast and strong. Thanks alot for your comments also.

it's only common at the western coast (aegean) it was supposed to be a war dance for nomadic turkic guerilla (yörük) back in the days.
and atatürk adored it as well, so, that's about it.

Zeybek dance is national dance Ege region Türkiye and my counrty have seven region have lots of national dances for example Horon ,Halay, Zeybek , Erik dalı .........I think the best dance Zeybek and I am from Karadeniz region :D
