    It's called a pressure reducing valve or pressure regulator and they tend to go bad after about 10-15 yrs but sometimes sooner. Pretty simple replacement and they are available at any plumbing supply store as well as Home Depot/Lowes etc.

    Great water pressure to front 1/2 of house. Back 1/2 low pressure and air mix but no leaks. Is this the possible cause?

    What if you have low water pressure in a couple different places inside the house? For me it's the cold water

      @@S4_QUATTROPOWER The PRV will be after the shut off in the house. Ask your neighbour if they have the same issue to see if its only your house or not.

    What appliances am I going to ruin because of excess pressure?

    • @markwest7258
      @markwest7258 6 месяцев назад

      @lizzardlife The washing machine solenoid usually dies first. Mine died after 10 years of 100 psi pressure. The water hammers the washer makes are epic. It sounds just like a hammer hitting the pipes.

      I agree. What is this person doing? What are the names of all this stuff? Is this person clueless about how many of his viewers are clueless like me? Maybe these activities are illegal. You know how the police will break down your door if you remove the flow limiter from your shower head.

    What in the solder job from hell

    • @markwest7258
      @markwest7258 6 месяцев назад +1

      It's passable but I like to start by applying solder paste to the copper and brass. Once you apply heat, it "wets" the joint. After my first pass with the solder wire, I reflux, reheat and apply more solder. Then hit with one last round of flux while the solder is still molten. I get solder on the floor from applying so much but my joints NEVER leak.
