    Made moving my treadmill easier than I expected. One tip. The grommet for my pass through was stuck so I had to go on the inside and push the pins in.

    You forgot to mention the 2 screws that are underneath holding the 2 back corners of the motor cover down , you didn't mention so when they would not lift up I gently pried upwards thinking that it there was some kind of clip that would release or disconnect but nope I snapped the 2 female ends of the plastic that those screws screw into, in order to reach these 2 screws you have to lift the deck in the upwards (transport position) to access them . Luckily after i reassembled everything those 2 corners sit flush anyway but i am going to get some good glue or epoxy that bonds well to plastic and repair it back to original condition . Thanks for the video though as everything was accurate and it was simple to disassemble and reassemble .

      That’s a shame about the screws, unfortunately there are hundreds of models of these treadmills and only a handful have the screws underneath.
      Did not think to mention it in the video as the one used for the video doesn’t have them 🙂

    hello, so “supposedly” we have the exact same treadmill however our motor board looks different. is there anyway of trouble shooting this?

    • @FitnessEquipmentHowTo
      @FitnessEquipmentHowTo  4 месяца назад +1

      There are 2 different types of controller but they both have a main connector and wiring harness.
      Just follow the wiring from underneath and you will see it.
      Same process, different type of plug

    I followed the steps for my Proform Pro 9000, but there is still a black cable that connects the bottom of the right upright to the base, so the two pieces are not completely independent as they are in your video. Can you advise on how to completely separate them? Thank you!

    • @FitnessEquipmentHowTo
      @FitnessEquipmentHowTo  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes the Pro series has a completely different setup and is not as easy.
      The only way to do these is to pull the console off or disconnect the wiring at the top of the upright where it connects to the console.
      You will then need to feed the cable back down the upright so you can leave it connected to the base.
      Best thing to do is tie a “feed wire” like string or rope to the end at the console before you take it out and leave the feed wire inside during the move. That way you can easily feed the wire back through when you reassemble, similar to the original assembly instructions.
      Hope this makes sense, very difficult to describe but not too difficult if you can get your head around it 🙂

      @@FitnessEquipmentHowTo Thank you! I decided it would be easier to transport the treadmill if I just removed the console rather than leaving it attached to the uprights. I really appreciate your giving me the guidance and confidence to do this!

    Hi! I have a question about the Proform treadmill carbon T7 model: FBTL87723.2. When I wanted to start the workout it keep saying "please replace your key to start the workout" even tho it already in the console and I try to unplug it and turn off but it still said the same thing. So do you have any idea that's I can fix that error?

    • @FitnessEquipmentHowTo
      @FitnessEquipmentHowTo  Год назад +1

      That’s going to either a wiring problem or a problem with the safety key housing mechanism. Doing a reset won’t fix that unfortunately.

    Is this the same procedure for norditrack 2450? And do you recall the socket size for upright/base frame bolts?

    • @FitnessEquipmentHowTo
      @FitnessEquipmentHowTo  9 месяцев назад +2

      Yes same procedure. The newer 2450s have a connection at the base of the upright which is easier to take out. The socket size is 14 🙂

    What kind of strap did you use to hold it together??

    • @FitnessEquipmentHowTo
      @FitnessEquipmentHowTo  4 месяца назад +2

      We use ratchet straps/tie downs.
      You can use rope etc but have to make sure it’s 100% secure, I can’t stress that enough.
      If it’s not secure and let’s go the gas strut will release while you are moving it.
      For extra safety you can remove the gas strut beforehand.

    I just did this with my treadmill. It's the same brand, newer model. I reassembled everything and turned it on but for some reason the track won't work. Everything else works including the incline, but when I try to turn the speed up, nothing happens.

    • @FitnessEquipmentHowTo
      @FitnessEquipmentHowTo  8 месяцев назад

      First place to start is check all wiring is ok, check motor connections and check all pins in connectors are ok.
      Failing that it could possibly be an issue with the controller.

    Why bother removing the earth core and all the detailed wiring? Why not just disconnect the bottom cable insert? Don't get it....

    • @FitnessEquipmentHowTo
      @FitnessEquipmentHowTo  2 месяца назад +1

      Because it’s one long cable loom with the earth from the controller all the way to the console, it’s the only way to do it. Some newer models have a connector in between that you can disconnect easily but most models don’t
