Sad truth. Lots of donators have no idea. It would be better to have a yard sale or just sit on the side of the road. Goodwills original concept for the company was wholesome, now it's greed.
Those kids shoes are from Target. Target buys tons of Target clearance merchandise & sells it for more than the marked down Target price (usually). Anybody who thinks that Goodwill is a non-profit “charity” this sadly mistaken.

Hi, where do you find 20% coupons?
Our GW doesn't do that. They have a 50% off sale like 2 days a month. I went 1 time...it was like black Friday😵💫
Thrift stores really don't save you much these days.i saw a brand new pair of jeans tags still on them.they were a dollar cheaper than at the walmart.ive bought many pairs of jeans that don't last a week because they were dry rotted.thrift stores have became a rat race, you have to get there a certain day and time and hope they have something decent.the employees usually have lists from people that they know who want certain things that are put aside for them.they get paid to do it to.
You is so right I went to Goodwill this morning and the prices was plane ridiculous for free the government needs to look into those thieves
Goodwill price are RIDICULOUS
Goodwill prices are Outrageous!!!
You can buy new clothes for cheaper then second hand. That's why fast fashion is so popular
Right!Same with the Salvation Army too!
I remember when thrifting was cheap 😭😭
Goodwill pockets 100% of their profits shop The arh and little thrift stores
RIGHT..DONATIONS WILL FALL OFF
that’s crazy maybe it’s because people have been reselling and marking up everything from thrift stores 🧐 who would’ve thought that’s what was going to happen?
Definitely....some of their prices are ridiculous. People shop GW for fun...we really dont need anymore junk. 😒
It's amazing how much they charge for free items. And yes the donate to a foundation but it's usually one that only a few people qualify for
Once I saw a "light" school bag in their bags section. The bag was new and original price still there for $7.99 but goodwill priced it for "$10.00". The greed of this store is too much.
Ya that's what I say my boyfriend hates goodwill because he said they get it for free that it should be against the law cuz there ripping people off an I live in Oklahoma
Well look at these resellers. They even charge higher than a lot of these places.
Exactly thats why I stopped going.
They can't blame it on the economy.
Goodwill has some seriously bad habits
Stopped shopping there a long time ago
Yes this goodwill is crazy on prices
Goodwill is awesome!
They just keep raising prices pisses me off
I notice that as well!!!! I don’t waist my time going their any more.
The workers look things up online
It's kind of interesting. Because we have a second hand store in Sweden too. And it's a whole chain of stores. Anyway they also get their stuff for free. People donate. And the people who work there are volunteers they don't get payed. And some stuff they sell are ridiculously expensive 😬 and some things are super cheap depending on which store you go too..
I worked for them and after Christmas when people would donate their decorations of ornaments, outside deer made of wicker with lights very expensive donations that families with children would love to have and store for the next season because it's to expensive during the season, THEY(GOODWILL MANAGERS) would instruct us to put in the trash compactor because Christmas season was over.
My mother said the same thing that's why the stuff is still there because of some of their prices and that they get these donations for free
Goodwill is so expensive now. My goodwill (keep in mind in an area which is not very wealthy) is selling target crop tops which retail for 5$ at 7.98, and a coat for 98$ its ridiculous at this point.
I was in one today. They had a metal paper towel holder marked $4.99 you can buy it at Dollar tree for $1.25!!!!!
They are way overpriced. I rarely will find a good deal there anymore. Last time I was at goodwill I found baby board books torn to holy hell up but charging a dollar more than I could just buy brand new for less.
My old good will had the most passive aggressive sign on every single rack that would answer this video. “it’s a hand up, not a hand out”
They have uped their prices so much!!
Goodwill prices are truly getting outrageous
I agree with you! It pisses me off cause they are for Profit. Savers and Good Will in my area are out of control! As the mom of a Disabled Combat Veteran, donate to the Veterans!! They come to your house to pick it up and it ALL goes to our Veterans who served our Country!
Church trift stores are great!!
Thank you for saying this!!!!!!!! ❤️ I may as well go to the Galleria or South County!
Well u have to remember the CEO of Goodwill Mark Curran makes $800,000 per yr & after you add in all the other perks his total salary is $1 million per year. I haven’t shopped at Goodwill in several yrs because of their high prices
Right! It’s all about lining his pockets! No Senior Citizen discount & no. Veterans discount, doesn’t that say a lot about him!
It's the same problem in Alabama locations! Yesterday was my last trip to our local Goodwill. They're too expensive!!
Watching your videos
If they have that many of the same thing in stock it's a new good that they bought themselves from pallets of discontinued items. You can ask employees about it, so no those aren't free. But in general yeah the prices are getting raised because they gave employees raises, or they were supposed to.
