- Thrift with me for the quiet luxury / old money aesthetic with a strict budget of $50. The goal is to find multiple outfits, at least one pair of shoes, and a purse. In order to achieve this, our primary thrifting will take place at the Goodwill Outlet where you pay by the pound. We will also stop at the Family Thrift Outlet where everything is $2.25, and the regular Goodwill Store with standard prices.
Quiet luxury is an elevated take on minimalism made popular by Sophia Richie on TikTok, celebrities like Kendall Jenner, and shows like Succession. We shop for key takeaways from the aesthetic, such as natural fibers, tailored cuts, maxi lengths, neutrals, monochrome, and more.

I really really love that you have standards for the pieces you choose to take home and that if its slightly too big, not the right fabric, out of season, worn, etc it gets put back. A lot of people get caught up on “well I’ll wear it in fall” or “I can fix it a bit to be what I want” but most of us dont have the time or energy to follow through on those things. I have a hard time shopping because I’m quite picky with style and fit so its hard watching hauls or thrifting because people make it seem so easy to find so many items. I like that you showed the thought process behind it

The Goodwills here in Los Angeles are charging crazy amounts for old ratty polyester. It's wild the price increases.
I visited a friend up in northern Idaho and her goodwill was AMAZING. Everything was old school goodwill prices, organized, and clean.
Here in LA you can't even be in the store more than 15 minutes bc it smells so bad.

My best moments at goodwill outlet (a.k.a. the bins) involved making a wish list before going in, wearing a mask amd gloves (there are sewing needles and and broken glass in some items) and the chemical spray they use to disinfect everything makes me sneeze. Some days it's a bust. Other times I find amazing things! Also, wearing basics like yoga clothes and shies that slip off help to try things on for fit.
I loved every single piece you got! I started to go for more plain, nice quality pieces a while ago and this was such an amazinf haul! Wow. Makes me want to go to the bins, haha. Very nice video!

When I thrift I never think about asthetics when looking through items but now you put a different perspective for me(: Also is it okay to ask what time you went to the family thrift? Because you still found great things and it was calmer when you went. I always go at opening and it can be hectic
