Great haul! Those shoes are just gorgeous..... The dream! 😍
Catherine Wales thank you x
I'm sure you hear this all the time, but just wanted to say it again... you are awesomely refreshing to watch on YT. You are honest and candid without ever sounding preachy or defensive. :D Thanks for making fantastic videos!
I love the new classic shoes the suede is beautiful, as for the first pair I think I'd be more likely to regret not giving them a new home where they will get worn & then you can use the proceeds to fund a new pair of shoes, a bag or something from Kate Spade!
Jessica Wilson-Leary oooh!! there's an amazing outlet in vegas.. could definitely use that money there ;)
I have to say you are the only RUclipsr I really enjoy watching , you could do a video on lettuce and I would watch it ha ha x
Stacey batcheldor haha, that's pretty much my vlogs!
I have the Pigalle and every time I wear them I think my feet are bleeding-they're SO painful! However, if you can ever grab the Decoltissimo's (only available in Europe) they're super comfortable!!! I wear mine all the time!
Marnie Goldberg | MsGoldgirl I saw your video about them a while ago and did consider them but I've never actually seen them in store :(The Pigalles have changed shape, the newer ones aren't as pretty in profile, the So Kate is much nicer but too high for me as they only come in 120
I am SO BAD at choosing shoes so this video really helped :) Thank you just subbed xx
***** ahh so glad you enjoyed the video x
That end bit was really useful to put the haul videos into context.
And you know what... Good on you! Well-deserved. I watch so many RUclipsrs and I really do find you one of the most well-spoken - your videos come across very clear, well planned and thought out. And good on you for holding down an off-internet job too. Very well deserved/justified spending in my opinion!
All the best :-) x
xsum ayya Thank you! I never plan ANYTHING, ha so that's great to hear! I usually think my videos are just me rambling incoherently for 20 mins!! I couldn't give up my office job regardless of money, I miss the social aspect of a 'real' job, since I don't really do events etc blogging is a very lonely thing for me. I also want to know that I can give up whenever I want.. I think the minute I depend on my internet income I'll lose all love for it. With regard to the money side of things, people want to know how you can afford things but I don't really know what they want the answer to be. I always suspect they think I'm a kept woman lol.. if I had my way it would definitely be the other way around ;) x
I would keep the sparky ones they are beautifull
I work at Aldo which DIRECTLY transfers European sizes to American Sizes. The reason some people say the sizing is different is because America uses what is called "vanity sizing" to where many times they'll say the women's size is a lot smaller than the actually are, and the men's are a lot bigger than they actually are. For example, I'm male and in most American brands I'll wear an 8, however in Aldo's european sizing which converts directly I'm a 7. So below I'll list the direct conversions
Women:
35 - 5
36 - 6
37 - 6.5
37.5 - 7
38 - 7.5
38.5 - 8
39 - 8.5
40 - 9
41 - 10
42.5 - 11
Men:
39 - 7
40 - 7.5
41 - 8
42 - 9
42.5 - 9.5
43 - 10
43.5 - 10.5
44 - 11
45 - 12
46 - 13
47 - 14
I hope this clears everything up on the confusion of shoe sizing! So, if you're american and you go off American sizing, I would say to size HALF a size up when buying shoes that use European sizing. And if you go off European sizing, to order half a size down when ordering shoes that use American sizing. :)
Also another note to add, from my experience with working with shoes for over 2 years, and being a shoeaholic suede definitely stretches the MOST and the FASTEST out of any sort of leather variant. Definitely when buying suede shoes buy the ones that are very tight, but still wearable, because they will stretch a ton. Another factor to consider is what the shoe is lined with. If a shoe is lined with synthetic materials, it will take a longer amount of time for them to stretch. If they are lined with leather, they will stretch much easier. No as for the most difficult to stretch, patent leather is definitely the devil. I would recommend either investing in a leather conditioner (soften the leather a bit for easier breaking in) or a shoe tree/stretcher if you ever want to walk in your patent leather shoes comfortably.
You are very knowledgeable and helpful!! Thank you for taking the time to write that out. In sure it helps her and it helped me a ton too! :)
Stunning shoes, love them all~ I would have picked the rounded toe black suede as well.
Deborah Sutherland I'm so happy with the style
Thanks so much for your reply. Always appreciate it. Interesting to find out people's stories x
Loved the ending of this video =)
Good Haul, love your videos and you make me happy because you are the most real down to earth person and who cares what other people think how you can afford stuff its good to have some luxury , your children are well looked after , and adorable xx
Julie Perry thank you!! x
One more thing (or two): I always go a half size LARGER with Louboutin's. They run narrow and my feet are on the wider side. I also take my Louboutin's to my cobbler and have them stretched in the toe box. They feel so much nicer then!
Marnie Goldberg | MsGoldgirl I'm really torn as to whether I should size up but then yours are regular leather, aren't they? People say suede gives a lot over time
Mine are regular leather.
Marnie Goldberg | MsGoldgirl yeah apparently leather gives, patent not so much but suede do BIG TIME! I've read on forums people saying the support across their foot almost totally gave out, the SA was stretching them out with her hands - I wanted to cry watching her haha.. she was showing me how flexible they would become over time but it was painful to watch!!
I'm in love with the glitter shoes, there so beautiful and sparkly, there like guilty pleasure shoes
Oh my god... Keep them!!!! They are amazing 😍
Sammi W which ones? lol
All of them!! Haha! They're all perfect!
The suede will strech fairly quickly. I have the fifi 85mm suede and when I got them they were a bit tight but I just wore thick socks with them and they are great now...
They would be amazing for Ella's wedding! They'll be old but unworn so new, borrowed AND blue!
The new lb shoes look very classic. I like them a lot.
you should totally keep those shoes they are so pretty! you could use them if you go to a fancy dress party or something. they remind me of when my friend went as a peacock
I love your hauls and you're so honest! Those glittery shoes are amazing, don't sell them! Even if you only wear them like once, they're so beautiful to look at and they're yours and you worked hard to be in a position to buy them. Keep them :D
I have two pairs of black suede heels and definitely agree that they give after wearing them, but more like 3-4 wears in my experience. My first pair was a ridiculously high lace up pair from Office that suffocated my feet the first time but after about 3 full evenings (4 hours each?) they were the comfiest heels I owned. Second pair were a Carvela pair very similar to your Louboutins, they were wearable when I first bought them but have now moulded to my feet - I wouldn't say stretched out massively, but definitely softened and become more flexible so my foot fits in better and they don't feel as rigid. They have now become my go to wear all evening shoe. I have the same issue with different size feet and wearing a half insole on the smaller side works perfectly!
QuiteBonney I think I will make an effort to really wear them in and see
I've never seen the sjp shoes before but their so pretty x
TheBeautyJournals there are some really pretty styles
Your ron ron shoes are gorgeous. I'm getting them now I never seen a video with the suede ron ron and that's what I wanted...but I wasn't sure but now I'm sure I want them...
Love your hauls! So keep spending how much you want on whatever you want!!! :)
Viktoria Larsson thanks x
You earned it, you spend it on whatever you want! :):)x
I had the same problem with louboutins slipping of my feet, I found a really good tip is to hairspray your foot , that way your kind of sticking your foot to the shoe and they don't move (apparently celebrities do it only the red carpet ) hopefully that helps you
Hi! I work in high end shoe retail and the suede shoes do stretch a huge amount! You have definitely gone for the right size, the first few wears will just feel uncomfortably snug but it is worth it if you want them to last you a long time. Beautiful shoes by the way!
Carissa Avellana thank you.. I'm still nervous but I'm sticking with them.. even if it's a year before they're comfy ultimately it will be worth it
You definitely made the right choice! they'll be fine! (I have serious shoe envy)
Hey, i work for Nine West and have to say that suede stretches more than any other material so i always recommend to go down a half size in suede shoes. Hope that helps :)
kombucha123 they're not uber tight since I've been wearing them around the house so I think after one or two proper outings they'll be fine
Thinking of buying the Ron Ron and just wanted to know how comfortable they are ? I'm used to walking in heels but want to be able to wear them without them destroying my feet haha as they are very pricey by the way these will be my first high end shoe so want to be able to wear them alot :)
I am SO late to the shoe party :) gorgeous shoes - both pairs. I won't comment on the fit as am sure you've sorted that but my husband bought me a similar pair of expensive (but reduced in sale) black suede shoes with a pointier toe and they have lasted for six years and are still going strong despite getting caked in mud at a wedding. I thought they destined for the bin so brushed off the mud, used a damp flannel on them and applied a black suede spray and they came up lovely. So yes, definitely think the wear of black suede can be underestimated x
Hannah Adams I swear suede ages better than anything else!!! If you scuff leather it's done but suede can AWAYS be brushed up!
I think if you sell them I may need to buy them!!! LOVE xxx
SophieSaysBeauty I just put them on eBay ;) x
Those shoes would look amazing with a black bodycon or a black dress so nice. Classic dress beautiful shoes ️xx
floraxoxoxo very true!
Wow...you handled that comment a lot better than I would have! Some people just don't have the manners or tact online they would have in real life.
Annamarie Keillor in fairness some people genuinely have no tact. That's not rudeness per se they just have no filter, it's hard to judge a comment like that so I would rather assume they really don't realise what they're asking.. but then if they're wondering then others probably are too so may as well address it!
I would keep the glitter shoes and display them in your beauty room!
Last comment!!! Suggestions for the Vendome shoes: A Christmas tree topper, decoration in the background for your videos, or you can write them off as a business expense if you decide to become a stripper as your third job to pay for your shoe habit! ;)
Marnie Goldberg | MsGoldgirl ;)
Your shoes are wow...
Got to say you have nice taste.
I myself have a passion for shoes..
I agree, you still have to look after yourself.
I know this is totally off topic but I am really curious as to what your top says x
Love the shoes, both pairs. I prefer the SJP ones, they're so fab and different. What did you wear them with (what outfit) when in London for the day? Would have loved to see an OOTD for a day time look with them. I have 2 pairs almost identical but no hole for the peep toe but, and I find them a bit hard to wear unless I roll my jeans up, because of how low on the ankle they sit..
Stina Egeberg I meant to film one but ran out of time.. loved the outfit actually so will likely repeat and try again!! The jeans I wore were ripped skinnies that I had to roll up, they looked good but I think they'd look good on regular ones without rolling up too as they sit a little lower in the front
I love your hauls! I see them as a kinda escape/something to aspire to!
I would personally got the black shoes in leather, leather is most definitely more hardwearing than suede, and for the price of the shoes you wanna get your wear!
But at the end of the day, the way you justified your decision is fair enough also!
The Green ones, as beautiful as they are, if you aren't gonna be able to wear them at the end of the day, would be a waste of money, selling them would give you more money towards another awesome pair of Louboutins.
Just my point of view, obviously you don't have to do any of these things, it's just how I would see it xx
Melissa Race black leather is more hard wearing in theory BUT if you scuff them they're done whereas suede can be dyed/brushed etc and made to look a little nicer I think
So fitting! Your sweater and the ending! Dont worry!
fbh16 totally accidental lol
I enjoy your hauls so much! Keep them coming ;)
Kate O Thank you x
love the shoes, don't keep the others I've tried it and it never works if the shoes are too big. I've made the smaller ones fit but once they're large they are just too large. xx
***** I think you're right.. reckon I'll stretch the small ones rather than exchange for bigger
Great haul, I love you videos.
If it was me, I would probably sell the glittery shoes, just because they don't fit right and you said yourself they're not really your style. For me, if I want to buy something I know I won't wear a lot, I tend to buy a cheaper version. Besides, they still have the tag on so you'll get most of your money back, which you can spend in Vegas :) Up to you though, obviously.
Regarding the comment at the end - I can't believe someone asked you that! Your money is no one's business but your own. You're right, outside the internet no one would ever ask, people can be so much ruder online.
Alice Red I know! Hard to part with them but it makes sense really
I love your hauls :)
nerdosauras thank you x
Ha ha, that was me with the Ella suggestion 😝
The black ones are incredible, such an iconic look with the red sole.. Hmm, think I need to start saving, I don't think my life will be complete until I own a pair!
I love watching your hauls, at the end of the day you earn your money therefore spend it on what you want, and it's quite obvious you plan your purchases and save up the money, plus doesn't look to me like you dress your children in rags so you can swan about in luxury! Some people need to wind their necks in! 😶
Rachel Allsworth It's a nice idea but I'd like to hand down something more classic maybe haha. They're the ultimate in extravagance really.. totally unnecessary and no better than something half the price, you're only paying for the red sole!! No my children do just fine and the hilarious thing is I once mentioned that our fridge was broken and that I'd ordered a new one and someone told me my children would grow up to be spoiled and that not everyone had that luxury - so I'm not even allowed to buy basic home appliances lol
"Haters gonna hate, hate, hate" Enjoy your shoes and your money! :)
Hiiiii there loveee the shoes wanted to know where did u get the loubs that were on sale? Thanks
Cole has some CL shoes no idea on the name but they look like your sparkly green/blue ones but they're black patent, she was told to & did go down in size too, she said hers are also uncomfortable lol she also told me to tell you there's a place you can get sole protectors from if you're bothered about the red wearing off. As for selling the others I'd think on it a bit more, they're gorgeous shoes & would look fab with lots of things, maybe try an insole? If you've still not worn them after June have a re think? Love love love both the new black pairs 😍 and as for someone asking you how you afford things, my god!! You don't ever have to justify yourself to anyone & you work damned hard & deserve to buy yourself things, I know we're friends & people reading this may think that's why I'm saying this but it isn't, you're a lovely person, a great mum & you work bloody hard & if you want to spend that hard earned money on you then you go!!! Life is way to short, I used to be terrible & never buy myself anything but after my diagnosis I changed my thinking a bit & there's no way I'm getting to those pearly gates & regretting never having anything cause I'm a mum & should have spent it on the kids, they've always had more than enough (like Ella & Milo) you work so hard, I do YT & blog for a hobby & it's hard work but I know how hard you work & you deserve it!!! Grrrr can you tell I'm annoyed? Annoyed as your friend but I'm general too. Work hard/spend hard & have a fab time doing it my lovely, you deserve to, lots of love 😘 xx ps sorry this is a war & peace comment!! Lol
MammafulZo You're absolutely right, life is too short to worry about these things and if I really want something and I can afford it then I'm having it! lol.. I spoil my kids and I'll likely live to regret that but if this was a designer kids clothing haul can you imagine the backlash? You can't win! Obviously I can not show what I've bought but that's the fun of RUclips, being able to talk about ridiculous first world problems like CL's being too tight in a community where people 'get it' and you don't seem totally insane. I wont go in to work and say 'oh guess what I bought' - I wont tell anyone, but that's what RUclips is for. If I want to buy something I look up videos on it first! I want to see what others had to say about it. I actually haven't had much life when I wasn't a parent and for a long time I had no money for myself so now I think f*ck it lol. Thanks Cole for the advice! x
Definitely!! I wouldn't get my bags out when a friend came & say "look I bought xyz" buy YT is different & people get it like you say, It's nice to have people to listen to us chat away about things we wouldn't do with our home friends & I suppose it makes our subs special because we only have that with them 😊 I definitely live by the "if I can afford it im having it" line, life is way to short & im not going to heaven thinking "why didn't I buy the bloody bag" lol xxx
MammafulZo nothing haunts us like the things we didn't buy ;)
🙌 absolutely xx
Diary Of A Spendaholic That is so true! I'm a firm believer of you can spend your money how you want. You earned so you can spend it how you want. That's the beauty of youtube, seeing how the product is what others think.
personally i wear a european 38,5 which is a UK 5,5 and a US 8... so half-sizes are ifferent.
Perhaps if you get the bigger Louboutin shoes, if they do stretch, you could put insoles into them to make sure they fit? I have done that with shoes in the past that were 1/2 a size too big etc and it works pretty well! Love the Louboutin shoes, such a timeless style, hope they work out for you!
ceryssaramay I think I'm going to keep the smaller ones and hope for the best
You go girl! (lol at me saying that but I've always wanted to). No need to justify your purchases, you are a self-made woman and that is a huge accomplishment. Jealousy will always be around. Just wanted to say you should be super proud of yourself and feel no need to give any reason to people for buying what you buy. Wishing you all the best and loads more pairs of fancy shoes ;)
***** haha thanksx
I'll buy those shoes, lol, no idea where I'd wear them or even if I could walk in them but they are very pretty!😜
Marie Louise lol they are pretty!
I have the ones in my profile pic - got them as a present and he bought them in my usual size 5 , I really wish I'd gone myself and bought the size 4.5. They are hard to keep on after a few wears I use double sided tape now on the straps to keep them on . I think you chose the right size
certainromantic well that's reassuring, thanks! I was nervous to keep them if they're not going to be comfy but I think they will eventually stretch
I should have added mine are the "no prive 120" in suede and can definitely say they stretched after maybe 2 wears , I'd persevere with the size you have - hope that helps :)
certainromantic fingers crossed!
Omg, if you do decide to sell those blue louboutins please let me know! They are insanely gorgeous!
Hope your well! Xox
Now I'm hoping that the Ron Ron's are in stock if I am ever rich enough to buy Louboutins! I'm speaking from a student perspective of instant noodles for dinner so hopefully all this studying would pay off! I love the idea of statement shoes with jeans, but if the glittery shoes don't fit right, I don't think keeping them for sentiment is really that good a reason, because they are really high and you're probably never going to be able to wear them, but it's up to you! I'm now going to look at SJP's line.... Thank goodness I have no disposable income for shoes right now!
Dusty Foxes yeah, I've been there lol. SJPs are much more affordable.. wait til the summer sales!
oooooo love the SJP Shoes, I've been after some Tan coloured shoe booties like that for a while to wear with my jeans. I think also when people asked how can you afford something they are just jealous. I have a son of 5, and at the end of the day, if he's clean and got clothes and everything he needs, I'll treat myself to something nice. We work for it. x :)
RaxyM they're so soft!! As a parent you're restricted to what you can do etc (although I'm luck to have a very willing babysitter by the name of Grandma lol) so you put the kids first 90% of the time.. if you can treat yourself without it having any effect on them whatsoever then why shouldn't you? People can be so judgmental!
My suede shoes stretched after about 4 wears I now have heal grips to make them fit better. Don't laugh but I have put blue tack in them also if I have to wear them with tights. Sounds stupid, but it works.
daljon13 haha see that's what I'm trying to avoid ;)
Loving the Christian Louboutins!!!! So in love with them!! And please don't feel you have to explain yourself to people- you are working two jobs, you support your family, you are allowed to treat yourself once in a while!!! People who complain see either jealous, or just want a chance to moan about everything- unless they are the ones paying your bills, they should keep quiet!!!
Jenny Amponsah I never understand why anyone would care about anyone elses spending habits if they don't affect them!
Diary Of A Spendaholic I completely agree with you!! People should learn to butt out and mind their own business!!!
I would sell the glittery heels :) Love your videos and I can't believe someone asked you that question.
P.S keep doing haul videos
SuperCathb well you know.. people wonder these things lol. I am selling the glittery ones ;)
Yes I'd sell the green ones. Might be worth going to CL on a day when you haven't been walking and try the other size on again and gather opinion from a different SA? Then you don't have that fretting feeling of having the wrong size.
shahida khan true!
When you said those glittery shoes didn't fit you I was like awwww no they are beautiful! People shouldn't be so blooming nosey. You spend your money however you want to and whatever you want to. X
angharad2907 aww lol
I have heard a 38 usually equals to about an 8 in the US. However, I wear 7.5 in US sizing but have to get 38 in European sizes. I am more inclined to say they are equal to a 7.5. The shoes are beautiful.
Karrie Stanfill yeah I think you're right!! 38=7.5
I reckon sell the glittery ones otherwise they are just amazing ornaments xx
Catherine Kay true!
If you're having doubts sell!
How did I not know that SJP had a shoe line?! Where have I been??? Heading straight to Nordstrom.
put on a pair of socks, place in shoe, run hair dryer on the top of the shoe to heat the leather and then keep them on to cool. Do this one or two times to stretch them out. If it doesn't work, return them. Hope it helps!
P.S love your hauls!! ❤️
Hannah Rose thanks x
Love them, love them all - jealous that I can't afford to do the same but hey, that's life 😉 why don't you make the Vendomes a feature of your filming room, (expensive decoration, but if you can't bear to part with them?) match the colour of the shoes to the wall(s) - doesn't have to be green, just something that goes with them... OR sell them and put the money towards another pair of gorgeous shoes... Ooh, or a bag... Possibilities are endless...! Do what you feel - at the end of the day, your money and your choice 😘😘
Mia Dreckett VERY expensive decoration lol.. I think if I'm really not going to wear them I'm going to sell them and put the money towards something else
I will never understand the rude questions people ask, I would find it extremely rude to even ask a family member about their income but some people think it's not a big deal. I'm British and know that people in England would not appreciate it, we are very privet people in that respect. It's like asking about your sex life, there's rarely any reason for anybody to ask or know what your income is. Love you new shoes and so happy that your channel is growing you've worked hard and deserve it. Take care 😊 Margaret
***** this is the thing, they may not be english and cultural differences can be HUGE! I would like to think she wasn't being intentionally rude/judgy but what makes me cross is the parenting association, being a parent has nothing to do with my money!
I would get the 8
I think you should keep them
If it were me, I'd probably just stick some little slip-ins into the large shoes. It doesn't fix the shoes, but it will at least let you enjoy them!
Erin Wheeler true but I think I'd rather sell them and buy a pair that fits properly
I have serious shoe envy!!
MsCherylB183 haha
I like the Ella idea! If you ever did renew your vows in the Vendome shoes I think it would be really cute if Ella were then to wear them at her wedding or when she renews her vows. But I suppose she may not have the same shoe size and she may not like the shoes either. I still think they're gorgeous, if I had the same shoe size I would happily buy them from you, haha! xx
Kimberley King haha! I'm going to sell them I think, put the money towards something I will actually wear
The glittery shoes are stunning, but if you won't wear them there's no sense in holding on to them. Better to have the cash for something you really want.
Have you looked at the Upper Street she website? They let you fully custom design your own shoes down to the tiniest detail, they're excellent quality and if you can get to the showroom in London they'll give you an exact size fitting as well. You'd end up paying a similar price (£300-ish) but you'd have exactly what you want and it would fit perfectly. I got a pair a couple of years ago and they're just gorgeous. xx
***** omg I will lose the rest of my evening to that site now lol
lol I take no responsibility for that. It's an absolute time vortex though, I spent absolutely hours on there!
Enjoy your beautiful new goodies! No need to justify your spending.
Regina G thank you x
definitely keep the shoes for memorabilia sake!
Hi, you only live once and life is for living. If you can afford it buy it and enjoy every minute. Lovely video, beautiful shoes, I am so envious. X
Tiggy Kirkby completely! And I was talking about this the other day, everyone is envious of things but I think we've made it in to this terrible thing. Jealousy is natural but how you deal with it and your attitude to those who have the things you want is what makes it good/bad!
People shouldn't be jealous in life, but happy for others. We all can't afford everything but that's life. Live life to the full I always say. At the end of the day there are people out there doing terrible things and in my opinion buying nice things isn't terrible but a wonderful pleasure. Go for it! I love watching your wonderful things. Keep the videos coming with more 👠👜👗👖👓👛
Reading the comments, it looks like you've already made up your mind to sell the shoes, but I used to work for kurt geiger ( not quite the premium level of louboutin but still...!) and a half leather insole that goes in the toe part will make a shoe feel half a size smaller, and a full leather insole can even make a shoe feel a full size smaller. It's a trick that works. Might be worth a try before selling them. ALSO, suede will stretch LOADS, I say keep them! Lorna x
Lorna Turner I really hope they stretch cause I don't think I'd dare buy my normal size in case they get TOO big
Forget Bey, I'm jealous of you girl!
Love you lots & just adore how REAL you are!!
K but seriously, sell those shoes & buy your kids some damn food, woman!
😂😂😂 xoxoxo
Lou J I know, right? I had to lock Milo in a cupboard so we could go to London ;)
If it was me I would change the shoes for a 38. I absolutely adore the green ones, I would so not want to part with them, even if that meant just looking at them and walking around the house in them. Please don't give in to people and feel you have to explain yourself with regards to your spending, it is none of their business! Keep doing the hauls 😙👍👠👡👢
bartlettje I might.. I have 2 weeks to decide :/I know I shouldn't feel I need to but I thought if one person said it a few must be wondering lol
do u always wear high heels all day
ha! not even a little bit. Special occasions
do u ever go to the mall in high heels
I love both shoes. Both very wearable. I don't have any advice on Louboutin's unfortunately however if it was me I'd probably sell the glittery ones. If they are too big and you haven't worn them yet put the money towards another pair you'll get more wear out of ;-)
I love your hauls please dont stop doing them lol an i love those glittery shoes but they cost the same as my rent lol please dont see that as a dig you work hard and have a right to spend your money how you see fit xx
Lisa Tunstall now I'm jealous! My rent is twice that ;) x
wow now i would not feel so bad buying those shoes lol x
maybe try put on a pair of tights(the really thin ones) and walk in the speed that you normally walk and check if its too slippery or not, thats what i usually do anyway:)
Estella Wu That's what sold me on the smaller size, with tights they fit!
The green pair looks very pretty, but personally I won't keep them because they are the wrong size. In long term, it is difficult to get use out of them.
Wen XIA I did sell them.. couldn't justify keeping them when I knew I wouldn't wear them
I would sell the glittery shoes. They're nice but if you can't realistically wear the and enjoy them like you should be able to then you should sell them. You could always use the money to buy another pair you really love!
Becky Severs yeah I'm going to
I'd sell the green ones x
I like this video because of your ramble at the end. I think a lot of us are jealous, really. I work full time and live alone. I'm in a lot of debt and can't afford to eat sometimes. How we spend our money isnf anyone else's business, I personally am not bothered about expensive name brand shoes, I can't walk in them for a start but if you can afford them then why shouldn't you? I respect youtubers who do this and work in a full time job!
Like you said - you can't go round asking how people afford things - that's rude! X
JoyBunny24 I have been there!! I had Ella when I was 19 and a mortgage a year later so I've been in that serious penny pinching state but that's what makes me cross about people judging my spending as a parent.. I've never really had an adult life when I WASN'T a parent! Now I can afford to treat myself I'm making the most of it
I would sell them and put to more stuff 😀
nicky mccann I think I will
And is Milo going to Vegas with you and Lee? X
Jess T that question makes me giggle a bit, I have 2 children and no, neither are coming with us. Ella will be with her Dad and Milo will be with my Mum
I don't know, I thought maybe there are things for kids to do too in vegas haha X
Jess T I mean it makes me laugh cause nobody ever asks if I'm taking Ella lol. There are things for the kids to do but I'm not ready to take them on a long haul flight yet, I'm not a good flyer (nor is Lee) so I's be a wreck if there was turbulence etc and I had them with me. Besides which they wouldn't appreciate it.. I took Ella to Disneyland and she said she preferred Bridlington lol.. I think we're taking them on a tour of UK attractions this year - REALLY want to go to the Legoland hotel, it looks SO cool!
Diary Of A Spendaholic
Not going to lie sometimes I forget about Ella because obviously she doesn't stay with you all the time. LEGOLAND sounds great! X
LOL sack cloth and ashes is supposed to be what a mother is supposed to wear? Sorry its rude and no one needs to know what you make an how you make it and how you spend it!
As for the shoes, I think you should keep the suede, used to wear suede and they do stretch. I love love love suede :). I those are the best looking shoes I have seen for awhile.
Mermaid wedding shoes...I would take a really nice photo of them, either wearing them or on their own and sell them. They will only become expensive paperweights or in the closet collecting dust. Plus if you sell them you can then purchase something else that you will want and use more.
Lovely haul and thanks for sharing :)
***** ha! I know! I mean I have been on a bit of a spree recently but I had a really good gig over Christmas that paid well (and actually involved no youtube/blog sponsorship which was even better) so I'm still riding that wave lol. The suede are just beautiful, I'm so glad I held our as I just don't think the regular/patent leather look as luxe.. I think I'm going to persevere.. I will save them for Vegas so I have a month so wear them in around the houseAs for the mermaid shoes (lol) I think you're right. I've put them on eBay to see what bites I get - I actually have my eye on something I'd like to buy for Lee (who is NOT a spender so it's awesome so be able to treat him to things I know he'd never buy) so if I sell those that's what I'll get - I might even haul it ;) x
Looking forward to it if you do!
So pretty! I love them both. The SJP ones are my fave though. I would love a pair of those! I would sell the glittery ones if I were you. As pretty as they are, if you know you'll never wear them, what's the point? Also, it makes me so annoyed that you had to defend your spending habits to a perfect stranger. You work hard for your money and have every right to enjoy it as you see fit. Your family are clearly well looked after, so anyone asking questions about your finances is just being jealous and judgemental. People are so rude sometimes. x
Nikki Straker they are SO comfy! I will definitely look at other styles when I get to see them in the states! Yeah I get why people would want to ask but it's one thing to ask what your job is or how you can afford to buy so much and it's another to put it in the context of 'how can you afford that when you have children' - THAT'S what makes me mad!
I think its wonderful that you can spend money on whatever you want. It is no ones business but you and Lee's. Why shouldnt you buy something for yourself. Others may want to be able to do the same but cant or decide that these things are frivolous and that is their business. I could never bring myself to buy anything this expensive even though I can afford to do it. Good on you. In regards to selling the first pair you bought, you may decide one day that you should of kept them but if you are already toying with the idea to sell them than that to me means you could do it and not regret it. I know this doesnt help but that is my opinion. :)
nancyv2671 true! tough decision!! I would love a chanel bag one day but that's my 'could never spend' lol.. I've had the money saved before and I just couldn't do it.. it's more than my car cost haha
Jealousy is a bitch - whenever I read comments on RUclips I feel like people are actively seeking out things to be upset about on the Internet...and they really need to get out more! You've worked hard for your money, spend as you wish! I know I would haha. Love your videos xx
Alice Pope very true!! and thank you x
Stick with the size the sales assistant suggested in the Louboutins. I manage a shoe shop and I know how much training that person would have had to work in the Louboutin department at Selfridges. Suede stretches further and faster than leather, so just give them some time.
Also, I love the glittery pair, but please sell them for the heart-toe pair!
Raconteur I think you're right I'm just nervous lol
Oh noooo, it pains me to say it because they are BEAUTIFUL but my new motto is if I haven't worn something in a year then SELL IT and get something else that you will wear and love! I know you only bought them in June but if they don't fit properly now, they'll get even bigger if you were to wear them, no matter what the material! :( About the suede ones...if they pinch your toes as in length wise, I'd get your actual size and put a half insole in the shoe with the smaller foot! Suede does stretch but it shouldn't stretch so much that you won't be able to wear them
The Girl In The Tartan Scarf true!! I have put them on eBay! I've worn the Ron Rons since and they're not as tight as they were - I think my feet were still swollen from the day of walking, I think I"m going to risk keeping the smaller size
Diary Of A Spendaholic Ah amazing, the Ron Rons are SO nice, I always think suede is so much nicer that plain leather! Hopefully your other ones will sell quickly, sure they will though!
Expensive shoes should fit well out of the box I would have thought . Take them back and get the larger size :)
Jill Johnson yes and no.. if they stretch then you don't want them to be too big months in
I read that comment too, and thought it was ridiculously rude! You don't have to justify yourself to us or anyone else. I'm kind of glad that you addressed it though, if only to stop people being so rude in the future.
Kelly Palmer well I guess people want to know and I don't mind telling them but it's important to clarify that being a parent doesn't mean you have no money for yourself lol
You really remind me of Josie from Fresh Meat xD
