    Alto Saxophone: Bob Eason
    Nir Kabaretti conducts the Indiana University Symphony Orchestra
    Hailed by Fanfare magazine for his "exceptional feel for elegance, wit... and tonal beauty," Bob Eason is currently an Associate Instructor of Saxophone at Indiana University and a doctoral student studying with Dr. Otis Murphy. He has performed with the Jacobs School of Music Wind Ensemble under the direction of Professor Stephen Pratt and he is the Soprano Saxophonist of the Kenari Quartet. He holds a master’s degree in saxophone performance from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in music education from The University of Houston, where he studied with Mr. Dan Gelok, Mrs. Valerie Vidal, and Dr. Karen Wylie.
    Throughout his accomplished career as a chamber musician, he was won top prizes at the M Prize (2016), Coleman Chamber Music Competition (2014), J.C. Arriaga Chamber Music Competition (2013), Plowman Chamber Music Competition (2008, 2013), Chesapeake Bay International Chamber Music Competition (2014), and the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition (2011, 2013, 2015). Bob has performed several times as a result of various competitions and was a semi-finalist in the 4th Jean-Marie Londeix International Saxophone Competition in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2012 Bob won 3rd prize in the North American Saxophone Alliance Solo Competition, and in 2006 he won the Moores School of Music's Concerto Competition at the University of Houston and performed Jacques Ibert’s Concertino da Camera.
    Bob Eason is a Légère Artist, and plays exclusively on the Signature Series reeds.

    Wow, FANTASTIC tone. What are your practice methods to getting really tricky/fast parts?
