Hello Jonathan. I'm just getting into landscape photography, and would like to use filters for some scenes. When you set up for your shot, do you set your ISO to base? Thank you.
Excellent video. I'm off to France soon and was going to shoot some of those fishing huts. I'm not sure how common they are in France but if it's the same location I'm going it looks like it could be a great location.
Hi Jonathan, can I ask what lenses focal length you typically shoot with / lenses you carry around? Also I really want to see some more videos by you, any plans to upload any? I'd be keen to see some footage from your workshop days. All the best. Daniel
Excellent video, Jonathan, very informative and great attention to detail. One question, is there much of a colour cast with the super stopper and, if so, do you change your white balance in camera? Thank you.
Some of the comments on here amaze me, 'I hate b&w' , 'b&w hides weak points' - if you would convert to BW just to hide weak points in a photo you're in the wrong game, b/w will show up far more weak points than colour, as half of the distraction is removed. Anyway, I found the vid very useful, I currently use a 10 stop screw in B&W and a LEE little stopper, I don't combine them but have you tried stacking a LEE 10 and 6 in comparisson? just wondering, this filter is a nice option for me for days when I can't get to a specific spot at the 'right times' with travel that happens a lot. I'd also be curious about the colour casting but then again I have to remove that off the B&W and it's very easy so why worry....
Dear Jonathan, Compliments for the excellent vlogs you make. I do have a question: you use a manual focus setting for your pictures/photographs with ""modern"" lenses. Using these "modern"lenses it's often a problem to focus in a proper way (focus ring and inner focus setting of the lens are not compatible). The old ones (manual D-lenses) do not have this problem. Do you have the same experience/problems focussing correctly and if so what do you do? Kind regards, Eef Velthorst
Hi! I have cosmetic pack and I dont know what to do with it. Maybe you can make a video on that please? I think that would be helpful not only for me %)
you disappointed me by convert to black white , i want to buy it but need samples color samples not bw, bw hide many weak points of any photo , make new video with full color
Sorry, I don't shoot colour, but if you like that sort of thing I'm sure it's very lovely... ;) Buy the filter and if you don't like it I'll buy it from you.
Jonathan Chritchley hhhh it is not matter of money i buy it but still in USA waiting my brother until he back to Jordan , i will use but some people said that problem with Supper stopper is limited usage you can not use it in golden hours or at least you need to open shutter for very long time , i bought it already and i am really confused , should i buy filter for specific time ? i don't know , and if i want to balance between aperture and filter i will affect depth of field. LEE actually excellent but still expensive , actually injustice that price of little stopper same as big , same as super
Thank you to the creators of this video. Thanks to you I learned how to use the app.
stunning photos - I want one!
I'm loving my Super stopper.
Lee .The best!
Hello Jonathan. I'm just getting into landscape photography, and would like to use filters for some scenes. When you set up for your shot, do you set your ISO to base? Thank you.
One question: does it make sense to combine the Little Stopper with other filters, such as the red/yellow or gradient filter?

Do you notice any blue colour cast from the lee super stopper ?

Is it good to buy cheap filters and holders? Does it gives same images quality as lee???
Mr Chritchley says 'very' 11 times in this video.
Between 0:39 and 0:51 he says 'very' 6 times, that's an average of 0.5 'very's/second.
You made me smile. Thank you so much for taking the time to count! I will try very, very, very hard in the future not to repeat myself.....
Now I can not watch this without counting the verys. Dam you!!!! ;)
You are very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very pedantic.
I am in dilemma about which filter should I buy??
Hi! I have cosmetic pack and I dont know what to do with it. Maybe you can make a video on that please? I think that would be helpful not only for me %)
Would be nice to see the result without black/white conversion to the see the possible color cast
I realize Lee wants to sell the Super Stopper but I would like to have seen a comparison image done with the Big Stopper.
thanks. May i ask what timer release are you using thanks
Darrell, it's the Nikon MC-36A. All the best.
Nice!! What lens do you shoot with?
Seem like 24-70.
A side question... can you please tell me what camera bag is he using? thanks.
it's a very old and battered Lowepro. You can't buy this model anymore but I love it!
It's not very beautiful.... but made it good.
why you converted the photo to BW ? i hate BW , i need to see shots with super stopper but full color
