Ok, I'm not even halfway through the video and I just have to say, THANK GOD someone is finally doing a video tutorial with a screen resolution that's readable. I have gone blind over the last few weeks watching hours of youtube videos where the creator has the resolution set so high that I feel like I need binoculars just to see what the hell they are doing. THANK YOU!
You're very welcome! Do you know how much more work the video editing takes to do that zoom in for every shot? It's a crazy amount of work but I do it to create the very best videos I can for you guys. Maybe you could help me? If you deem me worthy, I'd really appreciate it if you could share out my channel on your social media so I can help more people. Thanks for the watch and welcome to the channel! Cheers!
Thank you my friend, you saved the day yet again. My pinvol just started getting errors and needs a new config, so I came straight here as you are the best. Many thanks from the UK.

Thanks Scott for your kind words! Perfect! Yeah the next video gets ya all setup with Xpadder so you can make shift keys and add buttons to your front panel. Thanks for the watch!
Awesome video! Makes everything clear and easy to follow. Thank you for all the time you spend on these videos, they make our lives just a bit easier in the world of VPIN!
Thank you! I was so hesitant to try pinvol, but boy was it worth it! It elevated my pincab to another level, and you did a fantastic job demoing the software.

@@wayofthewrench Terrific. Finally taking full advantage of SSF with my exciter speakers now at a volume where I can appreciate what they deliver. Ball rolling sounds certainly adds to the realism. Other sounds augment DOF nicely. Thanks again to you, and mjr!
great tutotrail (s) . got it all up and running in no time. (and in the world of vpin that is saying something ;) so thank you for these videos as they really help and explain things simply and thoroughly.

Pinvol is the best! I haven’t needed to adjust my amps since. Good troubleshooting tip, after windows update you may have issues - particularly with external sound cards. Re-run EAPO setup and reinstall it on your device and restart (I used it’s “experimental mode”).
You are so welcome! Glad you found the channel. Hopefully I earned your subscription today and if you deem me worthy, I'd really appreciate it if you could share out my channel on your social media so I can help more people. Thanks for the watch and your support for the channel!

Dude! Thanks for a great video. For the longest most said PINVOL was not worth it but after this video (and your next one) I’ll be installing it. Thanks
Thanks Terry! Yeah Pinvol is totally worth it, it makes all of your tables run exactly how you like it. A must have to compliment SSF! Thanks for the watch!
I've completed my vPin build. I am literally waiting until the next video to sort out my volume because I am exhausted from figuring this stuff out. Thanks so much for making these videos!
Thanks as always for your great videos on Vpinball. I found a problem with the latst 10.8 Beta GL64 has broken the display of the table volume and the main volume stops displaying like the future pinball does that you mentioned. Hoping that it will fix by the time of full release. Have Fun
I started with the knobs about halfway but they were too loud so they are only about a 1/4 of the way now. Plus they are only at 12v not 19v. Thanks for the watch!
Thanks Ryan! Hopefully the RUclips algorithm can get wind of my content one day and share it a bit more with the world. Until then, I'm just gonna keep trying to get better. Thanks for the watch!
Good morning I'm French and I love what you do, it helped me a lot in creating my pincab. I have the same ssf equipment as you on my pincab with the same amp and I wanted to know if it was possible for you to give me your settings for the two ssf amps so that I already have a good base Thank you
I would just pick a very loud pop bumper table and adjust pinvol to zero adjustment on that table and turn up the amps slowly until the pop bumpers start giving tilts. Then make sure you can adjust pinvol down enough to not cause tilts. Then you should be good for all tables. That's what I did. Roughly they are 30-40% of the gains on both. Hope that helps. Thanks for the watch and your support for the channel. Cheers from Canada!
@@wayofthewrench thank you for your quick response, I don't have any toys or tilts, I just have the ssf v2 which table would you recommend for settings? THANKS
I've been following your pinball cabinet playlist, I'm sure I've watched every video a half dozen times. I am nearing completion of my cabinet thanks to your informative videos. I purchased the same amps, exciters and bass shakers that have in your cabinet. I am curious for comparison, where did you settle on your amp settings? Are all your dials about 50%, or have you tweaked some more than others? I know it's personal preference, but I'd love to know what another person decided on. I am also curious, what are your SSF gain settings for say "Champions Pub" table on your front, rear and back box? I feel like I am floundering a bit on changing my amp dials versus adjusting the SSF levels on the the individual tables. I just want someone's baseline as a starting point for comparison. Last request, any plans to do a video on how to install and configure a MAME Rom? My kid thought it would be cool to play some old school arcade games. There are some videos out there, but none as good as what you'd create :)
That's so cool! Glad I was able to help you out with your build! What I would suggest is pick the loudest sounding ssf table you have and turn up the amps until they are causing false nudging, then turn them down a touch. Then install pinvol and use pinvol to turn up or down your tables to suit the same criteria (just below false nudges). Yes I will definitely be installing MAME and maybe Bigbox and getting it to run on the vpin, it just might be a while. Currently tearing down the cabinet to prep for paint and vinyl. Lot's more videos to come in the future, stay tuned and enjoy my welding and car diy videos in the meantime. Cheers!
Lol...Ive been putting it off. I'm planning on doing all of that soon now that the weather is better. Yeah I've been playing a bunch, it makes it hard to get my work done. Cheers!
My biggest issue is that im not getting much from my base shakers in game (ie VPX). But when i test all the speakers, exciters, bass shakers, outside of pinaball, im getting good sound and bass from the base shakers. Just not when i start a game. Its almost like things are backwards. For example, when the ball hits the bumpers up at the top of the table, most of the ummmph and basey boom comes from the exciters and not the base shaker itself. How do i shift those sounds? Would pinvol resolve this issue? Thanks
To be honest, most of the sounds come from the exciters. The base shakers can have a wider range sent to them though by changing the frequency cut off knob on your amp. Hope that helps. Thanks for the watch!
Great video! I see you added a subwoofer AND a bass transducer. How do you find this sounds/feels? Would you recommend both? I was considering doing both, if I did one I'd do the sub though. Thanks!
I love the audio and ssf sounds/feels on my cabinet. I would recommend using my exact set up. Remember the sub box is for base sounds coming from the music while the base shakers is the base sounds from the playfield. Thanks for the watch!
@@wayofthewrench thanks! Good to know. I'm building a 3/4 size cab so will need to probably go with just one bass transducer - I'll need to decide whether to place it at the front or back?! , and def the sub too. Cheers!
actually I see the issue in VPX as well. I just not had not teste thoroughly enough. I can start a table fine but when i close table and go back into same table or select another table it errors out. I posted on vpforums and am I trying to work through it@@wayofthewrench
if it happens in pinball x and vpx and in popper, then it could be an incorrect setup of pinvol. Try disabling pinvol and see if it still happens. if it does, it could be a wiring issue or audio component issue. Good luck.
When the loading screen starts press the hotkeys to lower the table volume and it should lower the pinup popper loading video volumes. Thanks for the watch and welcome to the channel!
I can't get Pinvol shortcut keys to work no matter what I try. I have tried every button combination I can think of. I can't get past your steps because im stuck at this point. I can't watch your xpadder until I can get the pinvol steps working first.
You should be able to use your keyboard and have pinvol work. Xpadder is for getting keyboard combos to be typed when you press a button on your cab. I'd rewatch and look where something went wrong. Also turn on the pinvol volume bar when ever a button is pressed do you can for sure see that pinvol is working and not just not hearing a difference. Also future pinball doesn't work ( at least for me). Hope that helps
Left field to your video but I can't find what I am looking for. Is there a way to set a single theme song for the whole pinup table menu? I wanted sound but I just wanted 1 song playing the whole time while in the menu.
@wayofthewrench Nailbusters had an article on how to rename your media file, where to place it and how to manipulate the pupMenuScript.pup file... of course make backups first. the article is background_music. the only thing im stumped on, but found a temp solution is changing the game launch audio. i tried replacing the current file, renaming what i wanted to use, the same name but it never loads. first time i tried it continued to play the ladies voice. i ended up leaving the file that left it blank and manipulated the loading graphic, adding audio to it. it works but not the way i wanted. i'll keep at it
