The people who say, "The customer is always right" are most likely greedy corporate level employees who never had to deal with a customer in their entire life.
That almost sounds like the basis for detective or possibly a horror movie. Like it's the perfect premise. A serial killer gets a job as a Customer service agent and tracks down the clients so he can murder them. At first he was only killing rude and obnoxious people, but his hunger grew to include entire innocent families. And because he kills people within a certain large radius of his job, it takes the combined effect of 3 police departments and the FBI to bring him to Justice.
The weirdest thing is... That every manager will say you can't yell at the customers. But when the manager see what the customers be doing and how they be acting they start yelling and telling them to get the fuck outta the store

Worked customer service for a bank (that shall remain nameless) and it was legit an emotional rollercoaster. Some customers call in with a problem and want to rip your head off through the wireless connection ... others you cried with because you helped them pay the bills that month. Thoroughly satisfying and completely unbearable...

Thank you 🙏🏾- it is the reality of customer service, every time they call they forget that there is a human on the other line - people are just entitled and they think it is okay. I work for apple support and I can give you so many horror stories from people being rude to racist to all kind of disgusting things that a human can do.
This never works out for customers because honestly when I did customer service the moment you get like this I stop caring. I do the bare minimum even if I could help then if I can take no more hang up. Not paid enough and some may disagree but my sanity is more important.
Exactly what I do. If they are nice, I will help them to the best of my abilities. However, the second they start yelling and interrupting me mid sentence, I don't care and give them a fake name and corporate number and purposely tell them they can't be helped. Literally had a person I was 3 seconds into a sentence and I was about to solve their problem, and they cut me off mid sentence to cuss me out and demand me to do exactly what I was about to do. So I dropped it and said we can't help them without the receipt. Then proceeded to work on something else on the computer while listening to the sweet sound of them yelling on speaker phone until they hanged up.
As someone who works in customer service, I can relate. People are trying to figure out why everything is becoming automated now. It's because some customers treat human employees like emotionless robots so companies replace human employees with emotionless robots.
This is so funny because everyone from both sides can relate to this, either trashy customers or terrible customer service getting put on hold for 10+ hours
