At that time I would have willingly tried to pay my share. I donned a sweater, turned the heat down, wore slippers. I drove as little as possible as the Saudis did the same as before, raise crude prices putting pressure on American families. I felt patriotic. Sounds almost quaint, mid 1970s Archie and Maude days
