He's so much better than Messer or Dion, IMO. I'm not sure if he's British or not, but my husband is. Thank God I don't get sick of listening to my husband :) Regarding capacitors, and a MUCH more serious note. A guy two years ahead of me in high school, about a year after he had graduated, decided to try and fix his microwave. He of course unplugged the microwave from the power socket, and pulled the back off the unit. After that he was fiddling around in the unit and touched a capacitor. It instantly killed him :( TV's, monitors and a slew of other devices can do the same thing.

A lot of people don't know even what capacitors are never-mind what they do or how dangerous they can be. By the way thanks for the compliment :)
@@BurningIceTech You're absolutely welcome :) I think one of the issues with capacitors, for the uninitated, is their appearance. What do most people tell someone about an electrical hazard? As I go through these videos, taking notes etc.. without looking at 40 different videos/options will this actually have me pass the exams. Core 1 and 2? I know the official test online has practice exams if we pay but just curious is this playlist of videos robust enough for me to pass?
This is great! Thank you for putting these modules together for us. I did notice on the Comptia site that the A+ is being updated in Spring of 2025. Are these modules still good to study or will you be releasing an updated version?
It depends on a number of things. If it's a standalone motherboard for building your own computer, there's a good chance it does come with four slots. But if it's a board for micro builds (microATX or miniITX), many of them come with only two slots. A lot of _very_ cheap prebuilt computers also only come with two slots.
I have to pass this cert in order to get into a data traineeship... do you think that makes any sense? Bc I'm not sure. Very glad those videos are here to help tho
I am 20 and I've been studying computer since I was about 12. In more recent years since I was about 16 or 17 I shifted my focus to cybersecurity. I'm going for this certification because of the credibility of it. Now my question is, will the exam ask about modular vs semi modular vs non modular PSU?
Referring to multi channel system memory, you state that you want to pick the slot closest to the cpu because it will be faster, but on my mother board it says use dimmA2 and dimmB2 first which are the 2nd and 4th slot. why is that?
In most cases, you would want to use the slots closest to the CPU first. But that's just a generalization. You should always follow the motherboard's documentation, and if it says you should use the slots in a specific order, then you should follow it. Not all motherboards have their RAM channels configured the same way.
I see the Network + has been updated. Is it okay for me to do this current A+ and the newer Network + ? And if so would i then have to do the newer A+ again afterwards when it comes out ?

You can do either the N10-008 or the N10-009, they are about 95% the same the 2. It doesn't really matter which one you do but maybe do the newer N10-009 :)

These videos are great; however, I'd like to point out some things they could do better. I'm only on the second module, but I feel like this may be a reoccurring theme in the others. You have a habit of introducing topics without offering any explanation. One example would be near the end of this video where you talked about multi-threading and virtualization support regarding CPU's. Now maybe those topics aren't necessary to cover because they aren't integral for the exam, however, to have a little information to understand the concepts would go a long way in making the videos more understandable. There are also several topics that you touch on and you simply say, "You guys know what this is," and you move on. This certification is a beginner cert, and it would be best to assume the person watching does not in fact know what you're talking about. You don't need to go into depth on these elementary topics, but a little clarification will go a long way.
I'm taking notes in a Word document while watching, and I already have 18 pages and 4,116 words at the end of this video.
