Peter, good tasting notes. I get just a whiff of smoke on the Bunna 12 for some reason. Love it and sharing with BourbonFriends, they have all loved. On my 3rd bottle. And even better is their 12 Year CS. Cheers!
Its classic. Its legend. Its small holy grail. Every novice should start its journey with Bunna 12 in sherry category. Amen. Good stuff Peter. Well done. 👍😁🥂🙋🏻♂️
Bunnahabhain 12 always gives me of a tootsie roll note on the palate. I don’t go to it much if I have Edradour 12 but it’s definitely a sip and a wonderful and affordable bottle to show up at a friends house with or as a gift.
Just picked this bottle up today. Just starting to explore into Scotches and I’m happy with this purchase. In CT. I paid $70.00. Definitely a crushable bottle.
Bunnahabain 12 is a staple on my bar. Just a terrific pour. If you get a chance get the 2022 Bunnahabain 22 year cask strength as it was one of the best releases last year. The 2021 Bunna CS was okay but the 2022 was phenomenal
Its an outstanding whisky and was a staple on my shelf for years, but then... the 2022 cask strength 12. You start to reach for the 12 but somehow end up holding the cask strength.
I watched the whole video, even though the outcome was no surprise. Bunna 12 is a great bottle, wish it was easier to get here in AL, I haven't seen a bottle in 5 or so months. It goes for $83 here so I usually pick it up in GA or FL. - Cheers!
After I said it might be the last time it appears in a video I got a little depressed. I've got to find other ways to match it up with other whisk(e)y to keep showcasing it on the channel.
@@whiskeyisajourney How about Bunnahabhain 12 vs Glenmorangie Lasanta 12 or Bunnahabhain 12 vs Bruichladdich OLC or just Bunnahabhain against some of its own iterations.

Actually discovered last night that Dalwhinnie 15 and butter crackers like Ritz it's an amazing pairing. The aftertaste is a butter Caramel. Especially with some mild white goat cheese. It was really good.👍
@@petevj interesting. I will try that. Cheers. My colleague brought some small fudges with a hint of espresso. I already asked for some, might be awesome.
The only reason I don't have a bottle of bunna 12 is that the bunna 12 CS is just better in every way, and I have limited shelf space. That said, when I go to english bars I'm always looking for a pour of Bunna 12.
I dunno if I'd agree on every way. The CS is beautiful with a gorgeous palate and great mouthfeel and the way it clouds with water is a great experience. But on the nose the normal 12 wins out imo
there are two lower proof (under 50% ABV) single malt whiskies that are ever-present in my collection. Yamazaki 12 and Bunnahabhain 12. Other than that... DITTO on all the other comments.

The Bunna 12 is a staple on every whiskey enthusiast's shelf.
Agreed! Cheers!
Bunna 12 is always a sip for me.
Same. And the 2022 CS is even better.
“Consistently good” is spot on. Definitely fans here. And words are definitely hard sometimes. 😂
All spice is a berry looks like pepper just bigger. It is also called Jamaican pepper it’s ground with mace and clove to make a spice blend.
I'm surprised I never knew this. I guess you are never too old to learn.
Bunna12 definitely deserves all the praises. It is in the camp of very few good quality to value whiskies around.
Totally agree. Cheers!

I need to hit my hands on the Edradour.
Bunna 12 was the first Isla that I tried, and a bottle has been on my shelf ever since.
This will always be on my shelf as well. Along with a bottle of the cask strength as well.
Bunna 12 is amazing, should be in everyones whisky collection :-)
Agreed! Cheers.
Heard of this one hope to try it. I have 3 Isley Scotches. I’d like to have more.
Give this one a try. It's not peated but still very good.
