The Caprice and all the top model VT - VZs are very interesting, especially with the components that were more exclusive to particular models. I've got an 03 Monaro CV8 and an 05 Adventra LX8, and on the surface you'd expect them to both share the Calais trim, but it's interesting where the Monaro steps down and the Adventra steps up. The LX8 shares wing mirrors with the Caprice, both in function (auto dip in reverse, internal defrost) and in being fully body coloured, as well as using the same rear level ride system. I personally think the 3rd Gen Commodores (VT - VZ) were the peak of Holden, given how many brilliant models they got off one broad parts catalogue and two or three wheelbases. Great to see the Caprice in all its glory, especially with all the features they packed in. My Adventra has the overhead DVD player, and it's interesting seeing how different the limo integrated ones were.
I had that exact car including Holden Assist and factory sunroof. I liked the piano black but I am a fan of woodgrain. Seats comfortable, mine did 2 ungodly trips from Sydney to Adelaide, never missed a beat.
Had a white 06 model with the 6 litre in it L76 Was the code for it from memory what a car actually prefer it to my current 2012 caprice vz/wl shape was just the best. Great vid.
This was the car you'd see with special plates on barracks or around parliament house. The big cheeses and cheesettes would be driven around in one, like a boss.

Nice but not as nice as ashtrays in the door cards 😂
Are you still giving away the vx commodore?
Certainly am! I’m just in the final stages of selling my hiace 😊
This Caprice is well optioned out with the sunroof and holden assist
WK and WL Caprice had the rear DVD Screens in thr headrests and system standard.
They look similar to Monaro rear seats no?
