Little late to the party here just came across your video on RUclips. I have older airport, extremes, and time capsules I didn’t know if you were still using yours this many years later and if so, how is it working for you? I have a few and I do not want to upgrade because they’re super reliable.
Great Video. I only would hope that he would actually show the back of the Apple unit designating w hich port is for what.
Thanks for the video....but how many people will actually have a separate PC doing DHCP? How about a video that would fit most normal users.....setting up and extreme as the router doing the DHCP
Hi, This was just a guide for running on a separate machine.
Having a DHCP Server gives you more flexibiity and more options, but yeah it DHCP can be setup of many other devices. Happy to look into making another video :)
I have just bought one of the AirPort Extreme boxes and you have just really made me feel that it's very complicated to set up. I thought I just plug the existing router into the Extreme and then go to airport utility on my iPad and set up from there. Your video was fine up until all the stuff about fixing orange light problems.
I live in the U.K. & I really hope I don't encounter any of this. I was told it was a very simple set up and I've always found Apple products are easy. What I have is an existing router that is not really providing good range and I get drop outs while streaming music on my Apple TV so I thought I will buy an apple Extreme and it will fix that.
Can you maybe provide an easier explanation on how to set it up from using the router I have please. I will be getting it on Monday and don't want to screw anything up. I am now worried I may have made a mistake after watching this.

Great video. Followed all the way and worked beautifully. Question: I have a Extreme plugged with ethernet cable and two Express spread around the apartment. To start the 5Ghz network, do I need to start on the router that is connect via Ethernet or can I trough the one where 5ghz extra speed is more important?

I have an airport extreme that works perfectly fine and has a green light, but whenever I try to set it up in airplay utility, it just says "No configured airport base stations could be found". What should I do?
Can you help me walk through and select the 2.4 ghz for AirPort Extreme. I have a device that requires 2.4 ghz.
can you set up a web filter in the Airport Extreme. If you can please show me.

☠️BLACK BARON☠️ 15:30 Could someone code a firewall to deny access of every little app on my puter. It's so utterly annoying to do it yourself and scan every installed app to know what the software on my puter really wants from me. Working without software troubles and issues because of software wanting more and more access can be much more comfortable for artistic digital work benches.
