Do you know which season they started tuning her vocals? I noticed they do it quite a bit in season 5, especially in the Wide Awake cover (a bit painful to listen to ngl).
I think they started in season 3, so there's a little bit of autotune on almost every kellyoke since then. The autotune isn't the only change they've made though, I respect that they put a lot of work in mixing the sound of each kellyoke. But sound/production wise season 2 was my favorite because it sounded better than season 1 but there still wasn't any autotune
@@attentionseeker420 Thanks for the answer! Yeah, I do appreciate them putting some more effort in post-production and tuning here and there is not a bad thing. But sometimes, if overused, it becomes very noticeable and a bit distracting imo.
@doctorits yeah autotune is kinda just the standard now like it is what it is. I wish it wasn't like that but people have become so picky about pitch like the way they bullied olivia rodrigo for her snl performance when it was really good

i noticed when she sang “invincible”, “it was almost like a song”, “i dare you”… the wide awake one ain’t bad, they normally sound good
@KarenKaren-iw1shall “vevo” performances are autotuned, belasco was autotuned, a lot of “produced” performances are.
