- Back In 2012 one of the worst games of all time was released, described as an entirely broken FPS and a complete waste of money. Orion Prelude was a disaster of a game, but how does it hold up nowadays, and more importantly, what happened to it?

Best $0.99 game I ever played.
I got it for 69 cents on steam. Despite the jank I love it. When you lower your expectations, you can have a good time.

Orion prelude is actually a pretty fun game. Given that it’s only a dollar, I’d say it’s one of the best games you can buy for that amount.
The classes are fun and unique, the gameplay is repetitive, but that’s kind of what this game is. A quick game you can jump on and kill some Dino’s.
Personally, I think they could have done better by making a starship trooper type game.
I sat through the whole video, thinking this is so well made. Then i scrolled down and saw only 58 views and 121 subscribers. I was sure i was watching some well established 500k sub channel. Keep making these review type videos and i can see your channel exploding. Great video btw

probably just boils down to the title and thumbnail . idk the stats but im gonna assume based on this video in particular that the channel has some pretty below average click thru rate . the only reason i found this video is because it 6 am and i randomly thot " orion dino horde " and came looking for whatever i could find but im pretty sure nobody is actively looking for these kinda videos for anything other then nostalgia reasons . i do agree that the content is well put out , informative and formatted well . but there could probably be a a stronger hook to pull people in to click and watch the videos other then just a trip thru memory lane .

i only got this game because i remembered a very faint memory of one of my favorite youtubers playing it (5 years ago) and i decided to buy it and play it. and boy, it looked looked way more fun in that memory. but that’s because i was younger and i thought i game like this was the sh*t back then. still, i’m going to play it. good editing in this vid btw

You are absolutely right with this video, however, you talk with standards set on a 60€ sequel to decades old successful series
personally i played this ages ago and it was one of my favorite games when it was dino horde . i remember coming back to it after it became prelude and idk what exactly about it they " fixed " but i vaguely remember it being 100x worse after becoming orion prelude then it acsh was as dino horde despite the devs tooting their own horns and giving us that " hard work pays off in the end if u perservere " bullshit .

Despite this being one of the worst, jankiest, glitchiest and overall least stable games ever... It's ridiculously fun. That's genuinely the most impressive part about it. Despite it being so bad, it's some of the most fun I've ever had with friends.

Microsoft Flight Sim from 1982 has better graphics and is more interesting than Orion: Prelude

This game is what current games lack..... FUN!!!! forget the graphics and cutscenes and visual novels that take over games now a days, it's just start the game hop in and have fun. especially for the price. Just listen to what he relates to or compares the games just says what he plays.
If you like this game, try deep rock galactic. Pretty pricey compared to this but it's like a mix of Minecraft and this game but super polished. If you get bored of this game but want something similar, definitely try it.
