I dont like the idea to mention gpt-5 in a title of a video where gpt-5 was not mentioned
The whale represented the relative size of the next model, whatever they name it
Did not change the title because of the feedback? I’m not seeing gpt-5 mentioned in the title
Agreed
@@richardcharlesworth2020 Looking at your comment while also looking at the video title: “Microsoft MASSIVE Announcements: GPT-5, Copilot+ PC, Phi-3, Devin Partnership.” Hint: Look at the fourth word.
The balls to like this post without changing the title
Why is GPT-5 in the title as it is not a subject? Or did i miss it?
clickbait i guess, got a dislike for it.
Saved me the view
This guy is not legit content creator
It's fkin Bullshi T. I hate clickbait so much.
It wasn’t announced, but touched on Microsoft revealed the approximate relative scale of compute used to train gpt-3 4 an the scale of compute open ai is using to train the next thing (gpt-5) almost confirms it mostly hype for the level that it should or will be, give it a few months
next year at a press announcement:
"And today we would like to introduce our next CEO of Microsoft..... GPT-10! Alongside him, our new Chief Compliance Officer, VP of Operations, VP of R&D, and the rest of our board will be GPT-9!" LOL
AutoGroq! 😎
I don't doubt you're not wrong!
Autgroqracy?
That would require a new model release every 2 months. With how long they are taking to release GPT-5...(I wanted it around November of last year) even just releasing GPT5 this year would be nice...but they are taking more than a year to release this model, could take 2-3 years before we see a GPT-6, they could just keep optimizing a GPT5 since it will be much better supposedly, good enough to take 100 million jobs supposedly..so if it was optimized it would be enough for a few years. I remember GPT3 in was it 2022, we are in 2024 now and only 1 model above it. So I don't get the meme of ultra fast GPT releases within a year >.
People are going to revisit your comment in 10 years and wonder if you were a time traveller. The future is going to get VERY weird.
This is a way for corporations to slowly learn your exact job perfectly. Imagine if the corporations a.i. were on each users computer. After watching every keystroke and mouse movement of every employee over time, it could do it all so much more efficiently. It's amazing what it will be able to do. Those people will now be free to go outside and pick up garbage, and repair the roads, and plant food forests, etc. A.i. will manage us like the robots we were born to be. Obviously it'll take care of the paperwork, the owner always does.
This is whY 99% of users do not realize: the data they give away for free. to allow the rest of Us. To use and abuse. against any of those that wish to fall for these trickS? WHAT FUCKING FOOLS THEY ARE.....!!!!!! THANKYOU TO MICROSOFT! YOUR THE BEST......
Have you ever seen the movie "Surrogates"? I recommend if you haven't. The way the movie portrays the future is similar to how I see it. Admittedly slightly different from the movie, I see Avatars going to work inplace of the real people who enjoy life and the income their avatar(s) generate(s).
Often times sarcasm does not come across in text... you nailed it man!
so which slave would you like to die first? as you thick you are above all that die before you???
You know what a great business would be...software. So, they know how you do all of your work. Because they made the software you use. Wait, thats Microsoft. They did this 40 years ago.
WOW, did I hear Sam say it got safer? Didn't he just lose a lot of his safety team who either quit or got let go or fired? I would not trust or believe anything that he says! People - please learn to think for yourself and do your own due diligence and research with only trusted sources! Take care!
It's pure politics at this point, i.e. say one thing, while doing the exact opposite.
the only MASSIVE thing is the clickbait title.
Where is announcements of GPT-5 ??
Didn't happen but was implied.
@@budekins542 It is only implied in your head. If we all believe it hard enough, I guess the AI will hallucinate it into existence. Otherwise...there is not going to be a GPT-5.
these creators are using clickbait to push the same copy+paste content. Hopefully AI will help platforms caption content appropriately so we can stop wasting time on trash content.
putting gpt5 in the title was clickbait. Im unsubbing
And who cares?
What did you think the whale was for?
same. sick of his clickbait
Yes, this is known clickbaiter, shame to him
Guys become bigg
Paperclip 2.0: "I'm back! Let me write the letter for you."
Haha ha that's the funniest thing ever
And with AI we can still have Gilbert Gottfried voice paperclip 2.0
😂 I knew it .. master of the universe right there. “Instrumental convergence” making humans into its own bio robot assistants
I need a job in AI so bad. There's so much going on in this space and my kids are young. They're going to grow up in this world
It's too late. The train has passed. Learn to garden. It's amazingly interesting. When I'm in my garden, I listen to a.i. podcasts. It's bliss.
@@middle-agedmacdonald2965 yeah I'm a single father and pandora's box opened while my kids are young. I can't afford to put my head in the sand or pay for my kids' future with tomatoes.
It's not too late. You need connections to people who know what you can do for them. When your value is common social knowledge they will call you. The best way to build connections is school and training. Degrees? As long as you are learning and interacting, it's all you need. A degree sometimes is like a period at the end of sentence. The question is: are you still learning. The critical activities you must be doing are learning or developing or teaching. Hoping around between the three is good.
@@BabyHoolighanthis.
@@middle-agedmacdonald2965 you don't know the thirst for AI engineers.
Look, we as individuals demand privacy, which this OS (Microsoft) does not deliver. It gives a false sense of security to those who are naive enough to believe the trash put out by this company. They proclaim they will not use the data, yet in the past, they have!. In the past, there have been instances where Microsoft faced criticism for its data collection practices. For example, Windows 10 was scrutinized for its telemetry features, which collected data about users' activities without their explicit consent. Despite Microsoft's assurances that the data would be anonymized and used solely to improve user experience, many users felt betrayed and misled, as they were under the impression that their data was completely private.
Windows 11-12 are death traps for your personal information and you security.
On one side, I'm happy with all the progress and super hiped as a developer, integrating these tools on a daily basis.
On the other side I think Microsoft is getting out of hand. They have github, openai, and mistral.
They dictate what will happen, not sure if I want AGI or ASI in the hands of one corporation (don't trust the government either, though 😅)
Exactly I guess there’s no such thing as anti-trust anymore
@DailyTuna I'm not against a monopoly if they are the best at what they do and got there by supplying better goods or services, but just buying out competition to squash any threat is a bit scary.
@@santicomp then you don’t know much about centralized power or monopolies. Every monopoly and centralized system of powered in history abuses that power, that’s what people do. They don’t have to continue to the best. Don’t believe that look at windows back pre-apple. They sucked. I had to put up with that crappy operating system until they had a step up when Steve Jobs came around.
@@DailyTuna Im not sure, but I don't think Windows even existed before Apple. It's was a dos-only world. And Unix.
I'd rather trust OpenAI or the government than Microsoft with the control of the world.
Did I miss GPT-5?
Dude you got me "we're going to watch the whole thing together" me: "ugh" lmao
LOL
I went to check the video's length right away 😂😂😂
The Minecraft segment seems really likely to be faked/staged. Zombies burn during the day in vanilla Minecraft and it doesn't react to him going into a cave... Which is where you're likely to find more monsters. Weird that they would get this wrong.
Copilot +TexasHoldem=$$$
Hmm not liking the Idea I can't put the AI in a box and control the data it has. This idea of having the AI (microsoft) have access to 100% of my data, what information I access and how I use it, Is so Big Brother is watching you.
They say that they're keeping your data on your PC. And that's why the machine needs to have A.I. capabilities; so that your data doesn't have to be put on the cloud.
@@StephenAkins Hmm that kind of data usage stored on your pc makes it a prime target, as it hold's image and key strokes of any form you fill in, hell if some one could hack your pc or gain your id will be able to access the last 3 months of everything you have done.
@@timduck8506 Much of that data is already stored on our PCs. The only way to completely avoid vulnerability is to not save any data at all.
Someone needs to teach Microsoft event planners about echo and how to combat it. No other keynotes in the past month had this kinda of echo. This is one of the biggest companies in the world, WTF?
“Closed source with OpenAI, open source with Meta”… oof that hurts….
I've got a funny feeling that as voice AI interfaces become more realistic and we become used to them, we will start naturally interrupting each other in real life without thinking about it and accidentally coming across rude to real life sales and customer service people
Gotcha. True
*Tries to write AI thriller novel on Copilot PC* Copilot: Sorry, I've been reading what you've been writing and you're not allowed to create inflammatory material. Your text has been deleted, and reported to the authorities.
I'm impressed by Microsoft Copilot's ability to generate art. It's probably using an improved version of DALL·E 3. And it's still very early in the history of AI! Mindblowing.
Agree; probably optimized somehow
Mad Cortana died im so mad copilot is the new name
I agree. Satya is the most investable CEO today. By the way, this is the second time he went all in. When he took over MS after Balmer drove into the ground, he killed the phone and went all-in to cloud and saved the company.
Microsoft Buid has been very interesting this year. #MSBuild
Agreed, extremely compelling!
Holy crap I’ve been an Apple fan for 20 years. I just had a conversation with ChatGPT. Asking questions about these new copilot PCs. For the first time I think that I might be considering switching to Microsoft I can’t believe I’m saying that! So yeah, where are you Apple?
dont be such a fucking sheep
Yet chatgpto:s first on Mac hmm, but yeah.. interesting
OpenAI's alignment with Newscorp ruined my support for them. I hope other models are competitive.
Hallucination squared.
I'm completely shocked at what AI is now capable of. I never would have thought when I was a kid playing video games, that there would be an AI that could understand and play the games just as I could, possibly even better.
"Hi! It looks like you're writing a letter!"
10:00 That absolutely looked like the damn bot knew when they were walking into the cave and adjusted its own voice to match the environment. holy. shit.
Things are certainly ramping up!!
so the question becomes- did you watch the full 9 hours of video, or did you run it through AI to give all the cuts / highlights?
Copilot is just a supercharged clippy
Who needs to keep up with new features anymore, we have an assistant now 👏
I'm intimidated by Nadella. He's such a cold, brutally efficient CEO. Is there anything that scares him? And his morals...
Is it just me, or do you hate when they talk about "safety" without defining it? Real safety is important, but I don't care if the models will say something offensive. I'd rather not cut back on their capability just to have "safety". Imagine if Google Docs wouldn't let you type in an offensive sentence? If you are over 18, why do we need a PG experience with these models?
"... is a 9 hour. So let's watch the whole thing together" you scared me there XD
being from GenX, this is such an exciting time! I'm seeing all the cool stuff from movies and books from when I was a kid come to life. I can't wait for the next 10-20 years to see how all this develops.
It's funny because in most movies this would be the time just before things get really bad
@@nou3077 Only in American movies. In Japanese anime this is the part it gets awesome.🤩
Yeah this would be exciting from a place of financial security wouldn't it
@dg-ov4cf If you know how to use it, then yes.
Microsoft still has not figured out how to get rid of all the viruses and malware. If Microsft offers AI bots to fight off viruses, I will be impressed.
I told you, R1 is already outdated. It's only a matter of time till we have AI Super Smartphones, Smart AR glasses with eye tracking, AI enhanced VR/MR headsets
Has anyone thought about whats its going to be like with more than 1 person in the room when everyone is talking to their AI trying to do their work?
I don't see screen phones going anywhere. We will need to retain all other interfaces anyways.
Sama can't be too mad. He negotiated that MS won't have access to AGI, once achieved. Now, MS doing everything in their power to make sure its in the best position possible
Did I miss the NPU part? Where is it?
24h earlier a new breed of laptop with a neural processor was announced.
LLM hallucinations are real. It is hard to see MS ignore the issue completely.
I think hallucinations are going to be like learning how to make Google throw up good results or learning that Clippy needs to be closed immediately. People will learn how AI operates in the real world and, simply, you trust it like you trust a human being. Or having a simple function that says "this sounds good, let's verify that" and it passes the output off to another model that does a search and cross checks without trusting the original input.
There will be ways around it but, as you say, people need to be aware of and considering hallucinations. When you're taught to use a dictionary, you're told that one word can have multiple meanings and you need to use your brain to figure out which one is relevant to you. Same with learning to drive a calculator. We do need to be open about the fallibility we're injecting into compute.
Corporations are hallucinating that LLM hallucinations are a thing of the past 🙃
This is not only the end of Windows as an OS but also the end of all AI excitement.
microsoft needs to come out with a home assistant device
>>puts GPT5 in the title
>>Nothing about GPT5 is mentioned.
>>Title now says gpt-4o
Thanks for the gaslighting and clickbait that made me waste 25 minutes of my life.
That is nothing compared to ALL of your life wasted, believing that GPT-5 will ever exist. Because it won't. Not gonna happen.
he "fixed" it, its back to GPT-5 now.
Liked & Subscribed.
Matthew, first time on your channel. Great substantive video.
Used Copilot the other day for guidance for a SWTOR quest on the public test server that had just gone live the day before. It totally worked, even gave me coordinates & strategy. Best part is I didn't have to endure reddit!
13:50 Oh shiiiii!! They even got the French data? Holy crapoly.
HR, Accounting, Administration, Marketing, etc can be replaced by A.I., eventually Humanized Androids with A.I will take over the physical jobs.
Microsoft lost its way in mobile but came out ahead in AI.
17:20
Project managers have too big an ego to register a threat until they're told they're fired.
A lot of companies I've talked to have concerns with MS and privacy. A standard install of MS anything is a privacy sieve. This raises more concerns than it answers. Everyone is working on AI implementations, but air-gapped and local. I like much of the MS thinking and progress, but enterprise implementation is more complex.
As an LLM engineer, the types of things I can do have increased my productivity through the roof. There is no doubt a lot of jobs will be made redundant. We really are heading into a potential dystopian future that Marc Andreesen predicted: “The spread of computers and the Internet will put jobs in two categories. People who tell computers what to do, and people who are told by computers what to do.”
Thanks matthew... updated from 🇿🇲 Zambia, i hope those Ai pcs with NPU will be affordable for the average person
They will be 2000 USD minimum so I wouldn't hope for that
When do I get my NPU card to plug into a PCIe slot on my motherboard?
This is great. Don't want to have to scrub through 9 hours of video
What I found interesting was the item was added to cart almost immediately, it may just be how the vid was edited but I would expect the screen content to change, get to the product and then add it. Unless a page is opened and product added in some back corner of the AI's private browser :)
Thank you for helping to make the rapid changing landscape of AI. I really appreciate it.
LOL ai added shoes to cart without asking for his size.
Oh damn I didn’t even think of this! Maybe it knew his size already?
@@matthew_berman I know its just a demo for now. But it won't be long before these ai will know intimate information like this for millions then billions of users.
I look forward to arguing with my computer on how I want things done. That'll be alot easier than understanding anything. Too bad the field of marketing and advertising will vanish, since I won't have to make tough decisions like what shoes I want to wear.
For those of us who typically purchase 2nd hand tech, we're about to be in a predicament between purchasing a new AI capable device or jumping on a _great_ deal for new tech that will be on offer by others who want to upgrade immediately... what to do? 🤔
In the Minecraft scene with the cave I think that the AI added the echo automatically.
This is not only a voice model, it can generate all kinds of audio. But yeah, really impressive if true
Sorry, you are the one hallucinating, not the AI. It is just bad audio in this video.
I don’t know. Could be. But anyway the model can generate all kinds of audio.
Am I the only one that is cheerfully dancing behind the Pied Piper!?
I hope you did a due diligence on the sponsor this time ;)
Voice echo was a neat touch. Copilot is “there” with me as the player.
the function to add items to your cart must be open api only because I very much doubt Microsoft will scrape any store, so much controversy doing that. Plus, if ai can add items to cart it may be possible for hackers to trigger a target puter to purchase things. feels like much of this presentation is dreams rather than actual features coming to the public soon.
The word "safety" is mentioned several times in the video and yet no one defines what they mean by "safety". ChatGPT is a fancy chatbot/GenAI, not AGI...
Thanks for the News Matt, you´re being my main source for AI news
I think that potential for at least 10x value to be generated into the economy was generated at the ChatGPT moment. The next important moments will be the AGI and SAI moments.
I'm at build right now. It seems to me that every product team at Microsoft got a mandate to integrate AI/copilot.
Echo in a cave? Yes it was. Because they were there.
spy machines! you are a slave! ABOUT TO GET WORSE!
Copilot Studio for using their Ai agents is expensive. Like 200$ per month iirc
Satya is really amazing CEO.
@Mathew Berman You mentioned on the video on minute 11:00 that you have not being able to try the feature of the voice interaction where you can interrupt the conversation, If you want to do so, please try the mobile version, it is available for plus subscribers in the android OS. It came with the update 2 days ago. It is very cool.
Pros might include:
- Increased efficiency in accomplishing tasks
- Improved access to AI smarts across various Microsoft products
- Enhanced productivity and innovation
Cons might include:
- The cost of subscription fees for premium services like Copilot Pro
- Potential concerns about the impact of AI on jobs and privacy
- The learning curve associated with adapting to new technologies
This video opens up so many questions that are absolutely more important than the minutia that most channels focus on
I am interested in how CUDA will transform on windows considering things like Tensorflow, and pytorch have moved away from the windows versions of CUDA
Demo this scenario.. you and your significant other are in the same room, doing your own things on your own computers.. and one or both of you are chatting with CoPilot. .... Silence has its benefits. Open-comcept office floors? Not that anyone goes into work anymore. Cubes? On the street with your phone? Co-Pilot: "Oh no, that street-person looks like he is going to mug you.. RUN!".. in your car? Co-Pilot: "You are driving too fast. I will have to report you to local law enforcement and your insurance company".
Heck the insurance companies are doing that now with these plug in units they send you and give you a tiny reduction in your policy! Think people think!
Microsoft is dominating Google, Meta and Apple in the A.I world. They have become the king!!

Watching the mine craft video - I’m thinking of the real world application for this. You could imagine wearing glasses , and it’s telling you how to help someone at the scene of an accident for example. If there is a wound in an artery it is telling you to stuff it with cloth, if there is a different wound it is telling you to create a tourniquet.
or, basic Electrical work- it could easily walk you through adding an outlet.
there’s so much room to grow augmented reality for real world applications, who’s working on it?
11:43 I am not sure if microsoft is the only one that could pull this off. I'm betting we will see pro phones and laptops from apple being able to do the same at their WWDC
it only took 1 year for chat gpt to get this crazy and robots to start doing tasks physically I'm scared for the even just the next 2 years lol went from small text to visual recognition we are fucked man fucked.
Sounds like Recall will have very good deletion settings. Just like Apple!
Like it! 👍 The Delete button dose not delete as you would think it would, but rather move's the date to a new apple data base.
Bing and copilot had huge outage today, still not recovered in Edge. Even Duckduckgo went down.
totally fucked when corporations pervert the reason Open ai was Open
Tim Cook has invented nothing without that other guy
I work with Windows at work but use Mac and Linux at home. I am really looking forward to AI to help me get stuff done.
You knew this (AI) was going to sink the PM field.
Wow! AI Engineering Frameworks getting better every quarter of the year especially the digital world
The acoustic has so much echo… this isn’t from AI, is it? 😢
Rewind’s history storage is 100% local, so no inherent security issue. Their new product (name escapes me) is cloud based, but they made a *big* deal about security with it.
CoPilot + and Recall are a privacy abomination Pandora's Box.
Just wait till the agents start making actions on their own behalf, that’ll be fun.
I heard the echo too!
my only concern is that it will likely track your every word, surrounding... contact... one has to be brave in this new world.
this is what I dreamed of when the aptiva was released (first pc you could speak to, barely) ~30 year ago... 30 years of seeing the problems with authority overreach... concerns me greatly.
The reverb echo might have just been the game setting environmentally influenced audio play back.
11:20 buying shoes over the internet and at his age? I remember during the covid mass hysteria craze, I could not try on shoes. The result, blistered feet because they were small. And he wants to buy shoes without trying them on for hiking. Brilliant!
