    I did everything you taught with my first song on Spotify after a long time not uploading and I just got in an Editorials playlist in my country, it's a small one with 21k followers but still, super excited. Thank you so much.

    How do you write a pitch to them? I can only smash the "pitch" button on the Spotify for artist App but not write something to describe the track. Also, I'm from Germany but I do English rap. Do you suggest to place a country with a native English language audience? Great video!

    Hi Signature D, for the pitches that landed you on editorial playlists, did you always pitch it over a month before the song came out? A time frame would be really great! Thanks for the video.

    I did some research about you and your music, it's inspiring that you hardly have a strong social media presents but I believe your music is so beautiful that you don't need a strong social media presents. So I learned something from your releases on spotify and that is you release your music with labels right ? perhaps it's that key to open some of the ways to get playlisted. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm just learning as well. I feel like any one can do it. it's not a sense of luck but good quality work or music... Let's have a convo about this I want to learn more

    • @signature_d
      @signature_d  7 месяцев назад

      Thank you! I think so. At least thats how it has worked for me personally. Me signing over specific songs to labels has seemed to open alot of doors editorially. However, there are tons of artists that just get on editorials without any help. so I think its a combination of luck and good work. I will say though, it seems like the hardest part is getting on intially. Once you get on once, you are much more likely to get repeatedly placed.

      @@signature_d Alright brother, thank you very much your insight was very helpful. My last question If you say good work you mean good quality sound right. Sometimes I think to myself that it's the type of music we make as artist and how It sounds like for example if I make a beat that is similar to Oneheart or snowfall it is more likely to get playlisted but if you introduce and different type of lo-fi it will be difficult for curators to pick wouldn't you agree ?

    Hey man, thanks for the video. I have a few questions if you don't mid me asking. Since me and bunch of people are making lofi cover themes form popular movies or anime, when we pitch and they ask "is this a cover", should I go with yes or no? Because before pitching I said it's original tune and you know you have to pay yearly fees for cover songs and nobody is doing that hahaha
    So should I go with "it's a cover" or what?. THANKS!

    • @signature_d
      @signature_d  2 года назад

      Hi! I don't have much experience with posting covers unfortunately. I try to err on the side of caution because I don't want to make a cover and then get sued ahah. Maybe check out a RUclipsr named L.Dre. I know blew up off of his remix of the Steven universe theme and didn't ask permission from Disney. So I think it just depends on what theme you are working with.

    Did u get placements only by early pitching it on Spotify in the beginning of your career or did you make promotion outside of Spotify? Thank you. I just released my second track so this information could be very helpful for future releases. :)

    • @signature_d

      I didn't land on an editorial playlist until my 4th year of producing music. up until then, I just did my own promotion and signed publishing deals with some labels
