The entire Todoroki family is trying to save Dabi, but the one family member that we’ve seen countering Dabi’s flames easily is nowhere to be found. In My Hero Academia the Himura family is a family of quirk users who almost exclusively have Ice Quirks, however the family which used to be held in high favor, eventually came up on Hard times due to their policies of keeping the Bloodline as pure as possible, until ultimately this lead to them selling off family members into arranged marriages to regain status and money. One of these abandoned Himura family members is actually revealed to be Geten Himura, who we met during the My Villain Academia arc. Ever since this character fought Dabi, fans have wanted to know more about the guy who can literally control COLD itself, and has such great control over Ice that he can make Ice Dragons and other constructs, but since he’s in Jail, the Todoroki’s only have Rei, Natsuo and Fuyumi’s ice quirks to rely on to save Toya, and as Endeavor says in MHA 388, it’s just not enough.

Basically, Fuyumi has a very VERY weak flame with extremely weak Ice, Natsu has a weak ice power, and Shoto and Toya have a moderate to extreme Fire and Ice ability? To make things better, Geten has an ice ability that can freeze cold LITERALLY???
Geten can control ice and it temperature but he can't created ice himself.
Geten is their cousin from their mother's side so...
@ChongChongkid no, he has to have at least one tiny piece of ice with him all the time. Geten always kept a tiny piece of ice with him all the time, and he can control it temperature so it'll never melt. So when he fight he can send that piece of ice to the sewer or anywhere else that have water and created more ice for himself. He can't created ice out of nowhere like Shoto or other Himura family

My question is, was natsuo a perfect version of his mother, getting his dad ability to maintain consistence body temperature while using large amounts of ice, kinda like what endeavor wanted for his fire but instead natsuo was for ice.
Both Rei and Endevor had issues with regulating Body heat, and so they were a match made in heaven, where bioth could heat and cool the other so as to have unlimited use of there quirks. This is what makes Shoto so op as he can use both fire and ice giving him more control over his own self and ability. Natsuo, may have gained the endurance of Endevor, but he did not have heat regulation that Shoto has. Furthermore, the only reason Dabi is alive is because he has a weak Ice quirk that allows him to keep his temperature cooler than usual, but comes at the cost of his body not being able to handle his flame (he can burn but stay cool.) Natsuo is like the oppisite of Dabi. better risistance to his quirk, but a weaker base quirk, and no fire unlike dabi to ice.

@@lunasquibBut the Todorokis have been shown to have some extremely powerful fire and ice related quirks with 3 of their family members having them so It'd make sense for another who's a prominent character to be related to them and his character design screams being similar to the mother.

I feel like endevor really blew it on the whole legacy thing. Instead of being fixated on creating one super quirk user he should have turned his family into a who combat squad. Endevor is constantly having to hold back so as to not overheat so badly during his hero activities. But the answer to his problems of overheating was the ice people in the family who could instantly cool him down and get him back into the action quickly.
They could’ve easily made a support gear for Dabi to keep his temperature cool while using his flames. Like imagine an ice user pulls up and tries to freeze dabi and the dude be like “ bro pls my mum is basically Elsa”

Maybe Rei has mentioned him, but they never got to visit, and in the end Geten ended up running away or something like that and thus they never really got the chance to saw him. It would explain why Touya/Dabi the first time he saw him was treating him like a stranger.

It be cool (no pun intended) if one of geten comes to save the day. Dabi and geten are quite big rivals and it would be fun to see them go at it again. And the fact that he can literally control cold could give him an advantage and possibly use dabi's new ice powers against him.
Or see them fighting on the same side,at the end of the day Geten is loyal to ReDestro and Dabi can help their cause

What I can say is that my grandma and grandpa were cousins and my father and I have 2 foot fingers merged together. Even in multiple generation and with genes from my mom (which is not related to my father) I have the same issue that my dad has. Pretty wild stuff.
