That's a great first Striped Bass to catch. Congrats! That'll be a story to remember for life... one shoe, light tackle, fought it like a champ! Nice catch, great video!
Chris' Outdoor Adventures they will frenzy randomly at lakes! Where shad are. Try throwing strike King 6XD lures. They work great for me. Every time I go bass fishing I run into stripers.
Chris' Outdoor Adventures same here I would love to catch more of them ASAP I'm going to try Kiser Lake a bit more and I wouldn't mind getting out to Brookville sometime
Watching you fight that was extremely entertaining. Good thing you had someone else in the boat with you, both for driving and netting. Good teamwork, great catch!
Extremely cool video! The excitement was so raw and real, this is one of the best fishing videos I've seen. You guys did a great job fighting that fish as well. Congrats! Cold day, launch with plug out, lost your shoe, WHAT? Awesome man. Go catch some more!
Good vid and great catch bro. I live in southeast Ohio and we had like an inch of snow on top of the wind and cold temp. A lot of people overlook cold weather fishing, I caught a huge ( my PB ) saugeye this time of year and numerous big bass.
Great vid man, i was feeling the suspense while u were reeling that thing in, it might help to tilt the go pro a bit downward to get a better angle when you are fishing
Glad you enjoyed!! Yeah I need a new mount so badly.. It gets knocked down so easily and in moments like fighting a fish I forget to make sure its shooting the right angle
Lol this is why in the reservoirs I fish I target strictly wipers and stripers, they are amazing game fish to chase. If they don't cooperate, then I will pursue smallies and largemouth. Great video!
watch bass fishing videos almost every day and this has got to be one of my favorites! you should come to georgia and actually target striper on lake lanier or lake russell by the dam. they get that size +. i believe the state record is somewhere around 50lbs. i dont have to gear to target striper i typically stick with largies but definitely on my to-do list
Yea man good catch, congratulations on landing that tank at JUST the right time when the lure came out, quick thinking on following him with the boat....first video of yours I've watched and I subscribed an now am about to watch more of your vids forsure man! signing off from Wichita, KS 316
Brookeville! Thats only 2 hours from me. They do have a ton of walleye. Our dnr uses Brookeville to stock all the lakes in Indiana with walleye. Great catch man!
Brookville is a great walleye lake, but very difficult to catch unless you go early spring or late summer after dark around the shorelines. You can go days without catching a single walleye at Brookville and then one day just burn them up. It’s an awesome lake but a very tough lake.
striper are more typically measured, not weighed, in the ocean anyway! Chris you seriously should try and fish for striper more often, this was honestly your best video yet, watching the fight was unreal!
Unreal im so excited to hear that good luck! oh and by the way, you should make your way up to the east coast and come fish some striper cows at race point off the coast of provincetown, cape cod this summer, then youll REALLY be hooked haha
I live nearby Brookville lake and fish there often. That Striper is about as big as they get in southern Indiana. I’m sure there’s a few bigger ones than that swimming around the lake but not many. I give you props for releasing that fish. I love to eat stripers. They are very tasty, but a big breeder like that needs to be released. Great catch! Target those fish in deep water with live shad and you could probably pull a few real nice fish up out of the deep water in the summertime. Get after em bro!
Chris' Outdoor Adventures congrats on that catch thing was a monster and its all good I feel like when ever someone has a crazy catch they forget something so at least you got it on film. And you fought that thing so well not many people could land that fish with the circumstances you were under.
Chris I am going on a trip to Canada for fishing, and we are going to be targeting Walleye, Pike, and Smallmouth. Do you think that a MegaBass Vision 110+1 is a good investment for me if so what color would you recommend?
I know it would catch em, but I would never throw it around pike since the lures are so expensive.. If I were you I would definitely go for a cheaper option. If you are only around smallies and walleye then it would catch the snot outta them
That was a good Striper! For Brookville Lake that fish was full grown. I live nearby and fish Brookville often and I haven’t seen to many Stripers that big. Like I said that’s about as big as they get in Indiana. I’m sure there’s bigger ones in the lake but not many. Great catch, and props for releasing that fish. I like to eat stripers, but a big breeder like that has to be released.
That is awesome!! Congrats dude! I hunt and fish in southern Indiana and do a lot of fishing in northern Indiana by Chicago (I only say this because of you mentioning being from Illinois I think?). There isn't stripers like that up here, but it is not out of the ordinary to catch a 6lb largemouth. I've caught more 6lb largemouth than I can count on 2 hands up here. It's all about being at the right place at the right time. I love the Vids though man, keep them coming 👍👍
Nice catch, I caught my first large Striper on a $25 daiwa combo 6 ft floppy rod lol. Been addicted since. But seriously, you can't panic like that that's how you lose them.
Awesome props on one heck of a catch!! That was an incredible video! How did you not break your line?! Mad skills! Last time I went striper fishing it snapped my pole! Way to go landing a beautiful fish. Keep it up!
down south here in Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas and Tennessee, we get freshwater stripers up to 65lbs. We catch them mostly on live shad, big swimbaits and bucktail jigs.
I have dreamed of catching a striper that big. I wish you could have weighed it. Now I know what it takes and looks like to land a striper that big. awesome job!
Even the small ones will put your gear through it's paces. I fish from the surf with a 10ft M-power MF- action st.croix, with a 5000 series penn surf reel, Stripers are just a joy to catch.
+Chris' Outdoor Adventures I'll tell you a lil secret when fishing on these days the fish may be spooky so stay away and make long cast with crappie or shad color swimbaits they will eat big crappie I cought a striped bass last year the way 30 lbs puking up crappie after crappie 9 to 12 inches long ever since using a swimbait to imitate them I've cought huge striped bass on Boone lake TN and big largemouth and smallnouth ranging from 3 to 6 pound
dude awesome catch. I went through the same thing two years ago when I hooked a 44 lbs white sea bass on my jerk bait rod. Spent an hour getting towed around Sea of Cortez in a kayak
Great job fighting a 20-30lb fish with 10 lb line!! That takes some skill! Great vid man!
Glad you enjoyed!!!
Chris that was amazing man
Fishing With Lawson Lindsey I'd trade the stripers we have up here for snook/tarpon anytime :)
Appreciate the love Lawson, I'm sure some Tarpon have dragged you around pretty good before as well!
Chris Bulaw nice vid. What is the name of that lure you used .it looks like a real fish catcher.thanks
@@dr3wskiiiiiii the grass is always greener huh
"I NEED TO SEE IT!!!" LMAO!!!! i know that feeling man..!
It was too real
Chris' Outdoor Adventures they get up to 50lbs.
Congratulations Chris!!!!! Big moment. These are the moments you get to experience when you take on fishing. Good job bud.
The ones you don't expect are the ones you will never forget, great catch and video bro!! 👍🏼
Welcome to Cincinnati weather .... haha great fight and beautiful fish!!!
Can u invest in a scale already. They cost like 10 bucks
Great vid by the way!! Had my hands sweating while u we're fighting that striper
I typically only like weighing fish when they're trophy sized, I'm gonna get one now lol I didn't expect this guy!
more like $100 if you wanna get an accurate one. Boga bro
Chris Bulaw too bad you didn't have one for the small mouth yet....
That was pretty cool. Easily the top fishing story on RUclips this week. MegaBass should sponsor you.
Now wouldn't that be cool, thanks dude glad you enjoyed!
That's a great first Striped Bass to catch. Congrats! That'll be a story to remember for life... one shoe, light tackle, fought it like a champ! Nice catch, great video!
Story of a lifetime for sure, glad you enjoyed!
Your reactions are SOOOOO awesome and visceral!!! Chris, I watch all of the googan squad and your are far and away my favorite fisherman of them all.
Hahahah glad you enjoy my man!!! Awesome to hear someone enjoys my content so much, hope you continue to do so!
Dude, that was incredible! Nicely done fighting that monster and getting it in! That might be the craziest fish catch you'll ever have! Congrats!
I think it might be dude!! Appreciate the love
Awesome !!! stripers produce an amazing fight as you found out.. I've only caught one in a kayak and it spun me around and around and around LOL
I'm so hooked dude, in a bit here I'm gonna target them and hopefully run into more!
I got so exited watching this catch, so tense it nearly took my breath away. Well done, that was incredible Chris!
this is why I love RUclips. what a treat young men. thanks for sharing. KEEP FISHING!!
Glad you enjoyed my man!
Awesome video man, keep up the good work, I told all of friends that fish to check you out, you deserve endless subscribers.
Love it. If you want a lot more of those line sides come on down to lake lanier in north Georgia. Great catch!
That fish was amazing, if I caught a fish like that , I'd be dancing like Peric! Nice 🐟 Chris!!
It was an unreal fight to experience!
One of the best fishin vids. Great work dude. Awesome channel
Appreciate the love my man :)
I been to Brookville lake, before. Dang it, I miss see you there!
Awesome video and congratulations on that huge striper! Nice job playing the fish, that was crazy!
Appreciate the love!! It was a crazy fight for sure
Watching you fight that was extremely entertaining. Good thing you had someone else in the boat with you, both for driving and netting. Good teamwork, great catch!

Appreciate the feedback, glad you enjoyed the crazy day!!
That's just a baby striper but still damn fun to catch. Come to NE TN, I'll show you where to catch some 30-40 pounders or bigger.
You were like the captain in Moby Dick "I must see this fish"
Love the reference
Dude I started watching this channel with 400 subs now your closing in on 20k! Keep it up man!
Appreciate the support dude!!
Favorite youtuber with yet another insane day on brookville!
Thanks my man!! Appreciate it
Lmao the whole time you were reeling in it sounded like you wanted to cry 😂
Good vid and great catch bro. I live in southeast Ohio and we had like an inch of snow on top of the wind and cold temp. A lot of people overlook cold weather fishing, I caught a huge ( my PB ) saugeye this time of year and numerous big bass.
Thanks dude!! This cold water period is when the big ones show up again for me as well
Great vid man, i was feeling the suspense while u were reeling that thing in, it might help to tilt the go pro a bit downward to get a better angle when you are fishing
Glad you enjoyed!! Yeah I need a new mount so badly.. It gets knocked down so easily and in moments like fighting a fish I forget to make sure its shooting the right angle
That is a legit crazy fish catch Chris
That was incredible. Not only was it a great fish for you, but a pretty epic video for us!
I was so happy to be recording and able to relive the moment
Lol this is why in the reservoirs I fish I target strictly wipers and stripers, they are amazing game fish to chase. If they don't cooperate, then I will pursue smallies and largemouth. Great video!
Duuuuuude! That was an epic catch!! Awesome!
Talk about an amazing catch! Great job man working that fish.
Nice catch dude!! Keep doing what your doing, your videos are awesome!!
So glad you enjoy Blake, you know I'll keep em coming!
dude this honestly needs more views cuz it's badass
Holy crap man. Great catch. I was surprised to see you went out in that weather but that was definitely worth it.
So worth it!!
Wow , what a catch and I can't believe it but saw how much line you had on that reel.
Only 10 lb test too! You remember that one for a long time.
You know I will! Truly blessed to have landed it
Awesome catch!!! Well played to get it in the boat!
Thanks dude!!
I caught my first striper at 17 and ive been obsessed for 20 years now. They are amazing.
watch bass fishing videos almost every day and this has got to be one of my favorites! you should come to georgia and actually target striper on lake lanier or lake russell by the dam. they get that size +. i believe the state record is somewhere around 50lbs. i dont have to gear to target striper i typically stick with largies but definitely on my to-do list
+Alan McQuaig glad you enjoyed it!! I hope to target big stripers this fall and winter they're so fun I miss it
Yea man good catch, congratulations on landing that tank at JUST the right time when the lure came out, quick thinking on following him with the boat....first video of yours I've watched and I subscribed an now am about to watch more of your vids forsure man! signing off from Wichita, KS 316
So sick dude, that fight looked pretty incredible
amazing man. fish of a lifetime.
One I'll always remember!
Hell yeah! Now that's a fish story!
Damn right!
Frickin epic. on the edge of my seat the whole fight even though i knew you were gonna land him.
It was such a ridiculous fight dude, glad you enjoyed!
Drag nightcrawlers on the flats early spring and you can catch your limit very quickly. But throughout the summer the walleye fishing is tough.
Awesome catch Chris
Thanks dude!!
striper are more typically measured, not weighed, in the ocean anyway! Chris you seriously should try and fish for striper more often, this was honestly your best video yet, watching the fight was unreal!
Cam I'm hooked lol, I'm gonna drift some big gizzard shad there a couple times and exclusively target them to hopefully hook into some more!
Unreal im so excited to hear that good luck! oh and by the way, you should make your way up to the east coast and come fish some striper cows at race point off the coast of provincetown, cape cod this summer, then youll REALLY be hooked haha
Dude, that's so insane - congratulations on that monster striper!
Thanks duder, puts those donkey lake huron smallies to shame ;)
I bet! That thing almost pulled you in - good thing that DC reel held up for you for another monster ;-)
That was so insane! Nice catch!
Thanks!! It was crazy for sure
"Its not a bass" well your wrong
Shoulda specified lol
I live nearby Brookville lake and fish there often. That Striper is about as big as they get in southern Indiana. I’m sure there’s a few bigger ones than that swimming around the lake but not many. Awesome catch and well fought!
Thanks man!!
it kills me how many fishermen that own a boat don't own a scale and it looks like you need to do a little gear maintenance lol
It bummed me out today. I typically don't like weighing my fish unless they're absolute trophy class, didn't expect to run into this guy!
Chris' Outdoor Adventures congrats on that catch thing was a monster and its all good I feel like when ever someone has a crazy catch they forget something so at least you got it on film. And you fought that thing so well not many people could land that fish with the circumstances you were under.
dont need a scale, just get a length and girth then find the multiplier online for striper. Very accurate, especially with striped bass
What a catch dude especially when you weren't expecting it!
Never know what'll happen on the water!
Those stripers sure pull hard bro. thanks for the video
if you ever come to California and fish the delta that's a typical striper. nice catch! and + every largemouth you get is typically a 5 or better.
If you are only around smallies and walleye then it would catch the snot outta them

lmao "I can't even hold it up really" *holds it up*
That is awesome!! Congrats dude! I hunt and fish in southern Indiana and do a lot of fishing in northern Indiana by Chicago (I only say this because of you mentioning being from Illinois I think?). Thanks man!!
Nice catch, I caught my first large Striper on a $25 daiwa combo 6 ft floppy rod lol. Been addicted since. But seriously, you can't panic like that that's how you lose them.
And from that day on Chris' kept a scale with him everywhere he went... haha unreal dude nice video
Nice Job Chris!
Great Catch!!
Dude that's nuts haha awesome catch
Amazing catch!
dude that is an epic catch!
And that is why I striper fish over anything! Nice catch bro
They're an amazing fish for sure! Thanks man
Awesome props on one heck of a catch!! That was an incredible video! How did you not break your line?! Mad skills! Last time I went striper fishing it snapped my pole! Way to go landing a beautiful fish. Keep it up!
Thanks dude!! I was so worried that something would break, was blessed to land this guy
What reel were you using when you caught that first large mouth?
awesome catch man. fun video to watch.
Glad you enjoyed!
Best video Ive seen all month!
Glad you enjoyed dude!!!
at least a good 19lber we have a good set of striped bass here in the Colorado river my PB is 11lb and my lake PB is 16lb
down south here in Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas and Tennessee, we get freshwater stripers up to 65lbs. We catch them mostly on live shad, big swimbaits and bucktail jigs.
ya I follow a few guy on IG from there and see there stripers makes me want to take a road trip lol
Jeremiah Giles here on Lanier 20+ pounders on topwater is not uncommon.
Great video brother!!!
Thanks man!!
This is the most epic fishing video ive ever seen in my life
Glad you enjoyed my man!!
You ever fish any of the northern lakes in IN? Robinson, Engle, Eagle all all real good lakes up past Colombia City
I have dreamed of catching a striper that big. I wish you could have weighed it. Now I know what it takes and looks like to land a striper that big. awesome job!
Even the small ones will put your gear through it's paces. I fish from the surf with a 10ft M-power MF- action st.croix, with a 5000 series penn surf reel, Stripers are just a joy to catch.
those stripers like crappy cloudy weather before fronts push in and chops on the water great catch
True that, that weather excites all the fish on this lake
+Chris' Outdoor Adventures I'll tell you a lil secret when fishing on these days the fish may be spooky so stay away and make long cast with crappie or shad color swimbaits they will eat big crappie I cought a striped bass last year the way 30 lbs puking up crappie after crappie 9 to 12 inches long ever since using a swimbait to imitate them I've cought huge striped bass on Boone lake TN and big largemouth and smallnouth ranging from 3 to 6 pound
Awesome fish man. PS, What megabass jerkbait is that and what color was it?
MrAliLonghorn megabass vision 110
Such an awesome fight to watch. Nice fish man!
Glad you enjoyed!!
That was dope AF!
dude awesome catch. I went through the same thing two years ago when I hooked a 44 lbs white sea bass on my jerk bait rod. Spent an hour getting towed around Sea of Cortez in a kayak
Sounds like a blast to me!!
nice catch man. reading the history of stripers is very interesting.
Thanks duder!
Hey dude that was GREAT

off the bank LOL hella fun
on light tackle... for a
