I always liked the Altima's design as it's unique to its own. You'll never confuse it with another sedan. Yeah, It may not be as good as the popular competitors but unlike the rest of the midsize sedans, it doesn't try to mimick that fastback design.
🎯 yeah I don’t like the fast back design either. I tried to like the Honda Accord, but I just couldn’t That’s why I ended up getting the 2020 Altima SR!great car!.
My family has had three Nissan Altimas.... 2008 model that my daughter purchased as her first car. She sold it to a couple in Nashville, TN. Had 175k miles on it. Absolutely a great car. A 2013 model which I did not like and traded in for my current 2015 model. The 2015 has been a great car. Gets almost 40 mpg on the highway. Has 112k miles on it. No problems yet.
I have a 2020 Nissan Altima S and I have a bigger digital display, power drivers side seat, aux, 2 USB chargers, and a bigger radio screen. I Love mine ..

Thanks for the great review. We just purchased the 24 Altima AWD in SR trim. We are really enjoying the smooth ride, comfortable seats and upgraded interior. The only negative so far is the blinker volume. It’s insanely loud and annoying. Is there any way to lower it? Thanks again

I have a 2011 Altima SL that I’ve had for 12 years now. I’m almost at 200,000 kms (about 120,000 miles) and it’s still going strong. Never had any problems with the CVT transmission. My mechanic gave it a flush last year to keep the fluid clean. I keep up on all routine maintenance and use synthetic oil.
I would definitely consider a new one once I need to replace this one, especially as it’s now available with AWD (a plus in Canada). I’d go for the SL, I like the premium sound system and heated seats.

That's dated info. Nissan Altima CVTs after 2016 have been problem free, at least for owners who change the transmission fluid every 30K as recommended.
@@Kirin2022 Kirin, You are correct. My employer has more than 20 Altimas in its motor pool, and I have driven many miles in four states in the 2018 through 2023 base models. These CVTs run fine. We keep them about three years and then send them to auction.

There's no Car Play/Android Play on basic S trim.
My dealer told me otherwise and I found out only after I bought it.

Nissan Connect will let you connect wirelessly according to Nissan
Instead it has Siri Eyes Free. You can do everything with voice commands that Carplay can, but you just can't have navigation on the screen (but navigation still goes through the speakers). It's no biggie really, I just use my phone screen for navigation and keep the Altima's screen on entertainment. There's also some kind of built-in Nissan call and text system that has a terrible robotic voice that will read your texts, so I don't use it. When I get a text the annoying built in system pops up a message asking me to read it aloud, but I ignore it and push the voice button and tell it to read my latest message, which it then does through the Siri Eyes Free (with Siri's voice). Same thing to send a text or make a phone call.
Very good, it’s not electric.
I just bought one of these and I was so mad when I got it home. The S trim doesn't have the intelligent key. You have to use the remote to lock/unlock/open trunk. I'm so mad I didn't notice this at the dealer. It's my 3rd S trim Altima and the other two had it.

I get tired of having to push the button too. It's worse than not having Apple Car Play.

No longer making Maxima ….Rogue sport. Near future cars will be electric/hybrid. No word on which models will be around or not.

@@NissanAltimaGuy im thinking about getting one but there’s too many CVT horror stories online about them.. yes they’re all older models however, but I’ve even seen some bad reviews for 2020 models and up
for it's price point it's a hard car to beat ...

They have made the s trim more basic, and I don’t like that, the only years of the s I would get is 2015-2020
So they don’t put the S on the car anymore… makes it look BASE BASIC! 🤔

They are more reliable now and you just need to change the fluid every 30k miles.

I feel bad for this car. Its literally uber/rental car. Also, it has no defrost on mirrors, its crazy, I would not drive my family in that sedan.

Don't loose your money because of transmission CVT,I buy this car and I drove 2000 miles it's gone fake car
If that's true it would've been covered under warranty
keep your warranty IN EFFECT, the CV transmission WILL FAIL.
not sure how yours was but my last 3 Altima's never showed me an issue

Hmmm, I have 2018 SR with 112,678 miles and NO issues and drives like new still to date! 🤷🏾

Why is this such a problem? There’s quite a huge market here in the US for foreign cars, so it only makes sense for him to review them as it’s a part of his JOB. Just because you have an issue with foreign cars, doesn’t mean he should too.
