The lock down end March 2020 was too late, a lot of people were sick then and couldn't get swabs because they didn't travel. This meant people were locked down while sick with no possibility of medical treatment as clinics quickly "green zoned." It didn't matter what respiratory infection you had, there was only one option for medical treatment which meant possible exposure in a hospital via the ambulance at bottom of cliff. Ask the long haulers what that result was.

At age 72, I have.not had a symptomatic case of COVID despite going maskless in public since our mandates ended. Still unvaccinated because I don't have trustworthy data from which to draw an educated risk versus benefit analysis. The past several years have made me lose trust with the entire medical establishment, and not only over this particular issue. Our doctors here in the US are more interested in doing what the government and the corporations that employ them decree than treating us as individuals.

I fail to see how a jab gives such high protection and for how long what with booster jabs being needed ?
the flu jabs are only ever 60% effective at best.
Natural immunity is better, longer lasting and you don't want a jab on top of your natural immunity coz that's where the damage is caused people being injured and die as a result of a bad reaction.

Yes I just recovered from delta covid & I didn't get a fever at all ! Just a headache for the first day then a slight cough and runny nose .. my symptoms were so mild that I didn't get tested until I lost my sense of taste & smell about ten days in . At that point I went for a test & was told to isolate for another 5 days . After a little over 4 weeks with a minor runny nose I am completely symptom free . I am not vaccinated and don't plan to get it as I trust my natural immunity . Sadly my provincial gov doesn't share that opinion as we have a vaccine mandate & passport program in effect here until at least Jan 2022 !! At least I am still able to go to work without it . Plus I'm saving a lot of $$ not going out for entertainment or food !! Shame about what this must be doing to our economy though !

Although no one claimed that SARS-COV-2 is a deadly mass killing virus. But even healthy people can get severely affected by this virus. Better get vaccination prior infection, natural infection is just an unnecessary risk. It's people with the attitude like you that cause a problem for the health care system and prolong this pandemic. Although it's only a small fraction, there are still too many affected [considering the whole population].

The Israeli data is a preprint and not peer reviewed. The fact that the preprint was posted in April and still hasn't been published in a peer reviewed journal is a red flag. After a quick perusal of the paper, I was able to identify two major issues that seriously cast doubt on the conclusions. Firstly, selection bias, which means that people who were vaccinated early would be those that had the greatest risk from COVID. These are also the people who were likely to have the poorest immune response with the vaccine. The second major issue is survival bias. Those people who didn't survive COVID are not included because they are no longer with us, and therefore can't be reinfected. In a similar vein, those who are suffering long-term effects from COVID will not be as mobile as those who are healthy so their exposure risk is lower. The ZOE data also needs to be properly assessed. At the moment, we can't draw clear conclusions from either source.

I apologize if you have read my posts before, but when you read you will see why I am so insistent.
My parents were in an aged care facility in Adelaide in South Australia. My siblings had an enduring power of attorney for both my parents. Against my wishes my parents were enrolled in a vaccination program.
They both got their 2nd pfizer jab on the 14th of May 21. Both parents had initial poor reactions: nausea, lethargy, aches and pains. In addition, my mother complained about lower leg pain in her left leg. We told the home to be aware of the possibility of blood clots, even though she had never had clotting issues.
On the 30th of May, I received a phone call to say my mother had been rushed to hospital with clots in her left leg. On the 2nd of June she had an emergency operation to amputate her left leg above the knee. She was sent back to the home to recuperate.
On the 14th of July I got a phone call to say my father had a cardiac event and was being rushed to hospital. He died later that night.
On the 3rd of October I got another call my mother was being taken to hospital with a kidney infection. She was operated on they found puss in her bladder and surrounding the kidney. I got a text on the 4th that my Mother had a stroke. She passed later that night.
Yes, my parents were older, 82, and 89, but Mum was in good physical health. They were both dead within 5 months of their shots.
Anecdotally I do not know ANYONE who has had covid but I have talked with many people who has had one or two jabs and the stories are horrendous: 5 mini stroke one major stroke, cardiac thrombosis resulting in death, 4am after the 1st shot emergency ride to hospital, 13 days off work sick after 1st shot etc. These are some of the stories I am hearing.
I am in Victoria and have been unable to see either of my parents since May, didn’t attend Dad’s funeral, and won’t be able to be at Mum’s either.

What's more, from next week the government is mandating masks for kids (yr 3 and above) in school. If I was into conspiracy theories I might think there is a global plot to subjugate the people of the world bit by bit, inch by inch using junk science, draconian restrictions, circumvention of common laws and human rights to set the stage for the great reset. Where we own nothing, are tagged and tracked like cattle, are placated with energy credits and a UBI that is linked to a social credit score, where some people will have more rights than others due to their compliance. I think the problem is the virus itself and it's various double mutants [Captain Obvious] . I had Covid in March 2020 - very bad case but didn't need a ventilator - May 2021 double vaccinated in USA Pfizer; got a "break through" case of Delta a months ago - loss / distortion of taste, sneezing and middle ear infection that temporarily stifled hearing by up to 85% ~ I'm OK now. Seems whether you have natural or 'Synthetic" immunity something new (Covid wise) will come along to make one fairly sick once immunity in whatever form or combination starts to wane after five to six months.
This is an inherent problem of the gene shuffling in a mutagenic friendly host population that won't take the vaccine.
[ 6 months protection multiplied by 18 % of the population who are defiantly unvaccinated = endemic (permanent ) problem that shifts like the sand dunes in the Sahara desert but never actually goes away, just morphs into different profiles demographically and geographically.].
