You’re a great instructor Nigel! Thanks for doing these videos.
I appreciate that!
Hi Nigel, what a brilliant Newbie tut, some good advice and tips that can really help a Newbie and people who have had a break from the hobby, than once again a big thank you and super nice to see you back.👍👍😊😊
built my first model following your hurricane series. Just bought the Lancaster and will be following this series, looks brilliant the best modelling videos on youtube
Nigel, another excellent instructional video; keep up the great work.
Glad you enjoyed it
So glad you are back! If I ever get my Liberator built I will name it “Jess”.
Not really "Back" as such Paul, this is an old video.
Still, we miss you.
That’s a lovely idea @hacheyp ❤️😊
My Airfix lancaster special has just arrived looking forward to building it with you Nige with your expertise first build for me in years and years so learning loads watching you thanks Nige for getting me back into the hobby
They are excellent books as you recommended Nigel. I have all 3 of the Lancaster.👏👏👍
It's a fantastic and informative video on a great kit. Your model skills are fantastic. I look forward to your next update. Enjoy your weekend ahead.
Thanks, will do!
We all love a Lanc glad to see you back
Wow what a great way to get people getting the most of this great hobby
ohh yes! been waiting for this, superb! Thank you.
Simple but effective, nice work Nigel.👍
Thanks 👍
I’m still struggling with my Revell 1/72 B-17F model or else I’d get this Dambuster kit and build it with you, Nige. I’ll save it for later then. 😊
Very many tips and hints in this vid thanks Nige. I've always been uneasy with the 'map pockets'; I couldn't see why the navigator would keep spare maps there rather than on his own desk. I wonder if the map pockets were actually for storing the start up sequence and shutting down sequence clipboards as well as ground crew's notes on the airframe etc... ? Anyhow, thanks very much for part 2, looking forward to part 3.
Good to see you back mate 👍
Great to see you back
You spotted it !
looking forward to this not got a Lanc but have an Airfix 1/72 Avro Shackleton AEW.2 not gonna be million miles away I'm guessing
I have just received my David union pin vice from premium hobbies..... It has been on back order since march
Dam good tutorial 😂😂😂
Cracking start to proceedings, Nige. Thanks for the heads up ref Maquette stuff - one to avoid I think. I am surprised you didn't mention Slaters Plasticard, I've used their products for years with no problems. What is the mystery about the excellent Dambuster Lancaster book? It seems to be out of stock everywhere.
It was out of print years ago, but I think there's a new updated version coming?
Have you put the seat base on back to front?
How much of the work on the inside will be seen once it’s all buttoned up?
Most of the cockpit but the wireless area no.
Where would you get spare 1mm drills from? My Microbox 1mm is like yours, blunt.
Amazon?
Yeah I'm plodding my way through the Revell B-17 and all I can say is that I've never seen so much detail done so poorly :P
Yea, most Revell kits need a lot of love.
